Okay, so this review is like WAY overdue since I have been seeing Jenn for the past year every 3 weeks, without fail. If you are in Maryland and thinking of getting your lashes done, Jenn is the only way to go. Lashes are, of course, extremely delicate and require extra attention and care… Something that is really hard to come by this day and age, most people just want to make the money and get you done as quickly as possible, NOT Jenn. Her attention to detail is so perfected that when I check my lashes in a super magnifying mirror, I can’t see where my natural lash ends and her fake lash begins. She loves her job and she puts that love into her work… She calls herself a «Lash Geek»… It’s her passion. This is quality… You aren’t going to find her on Groupon for a reason, but what you will find is that the price you pay is MORE than worth the job that is done!

I have nothing but one word for Jennifer and her skills — AMAZING! If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would! I know her prices are not cheap but if you want guaranteed quality service, comfortable and absolutely beautiful lashes that will stay as long as it is suppose to (3 – 4 weeks) then you MUST go to Jennifer.
How I found Jennifer…
I did not know about Jennifer until I was 2 weeks from my refill and 4 weeks from originally full set from another Novalash advance certified person. I was due to go back to my other Novalash expert but my lashes kept twisting into my eyes, poking my eyeball despite my regular brushing (I brushed them in AM and PM) to the point where I wanted to rip some of them out, they felt heavy, weren’t really visible from front (only from side), and I kept losing at least 2 – 3 lashes each day. I also felt like my lashes were not evenly filled from 2 weeks ago and I didn’t want to return and pay for another poor quality refills. SO, I went on Unilocal and Google and looked for other Novalash certified experts and I stumbled into Jen. She has a website that tells you all about her years of experience. What caught my attention was «Lash Disaster» section that showed her previous clients she was able to help. I felt like I could be one of them too. She has been Lash Extension Expert for 9 years now I felt like she was very experienced and skilled to help my sensitive eyes. Not only Novalash but she is expert in other types of lashes too — Russian, Extreme, etc.
Making an appointment with Jennifer…
I called the phone number on her website and left a message requesting to make an appointment. She called me back within 1 hour and really took her time to ask me — how I found her, what is my experience with lash extensions, what type of lashes I have now, when was my last fill, who did I go to for my lash extension experience, what my expectation is, what is my reason/​goal for seeking out another lash extension expert, etc. I felt like she asked many questions and realized I have not been asked those questions before by my other Novalash expert. I felt like I was in good hands even before meeting her in person.
My session with Jennifer…
Spa Central is located on York Road and it looks somewhat like a residential apartment. When you arrive, there is a «call button» on your left side of door that you can press to let yourself in. Another tip when you arrive is make sure you text Jennifer to let her know you have arrived because she most likely has a client before you and she tends to allow extra time and attention to each client as much as she can. Before starting, she asked me in more details about my lash experience, what I can expect from her, and what/​how lash extensions are suppose to be like for me (easy, light, beautiful, enhancing, and worth the $). She had to fix my lashes that broke my natural lashes from pulling, twisting, and excess glue. My natural lashes are thin and short and I was told that the lash extensions I had were too heavy and the curls were not opening my eyes. I had some lashes that were literally glued to my eyelid which is a big nono and that’s why my eyes were hurting and I kept tearing up. It took 1.5 hours for Jennifer to remove all the wrong lashes and fill my eyes allover again. What I REALLY LOVED was that Jennifer is also a Reiki master and throughout the whole 1.5 hours, I fell asleep because I couldn’t even feel her attaching new lashes. She said this happens quite often and that she puts her hand on my forehead to stabilize my head and make sure I don’t move so I don’t get hurt.
I really really enjoyed my session with Jennifer. She is really knowledgeable, fast, and really good at what she does. Because she is experienced in at least 3 different lashes, I think she gets creative and makes sure she uses lash extensions that are more appropriate for each individual’s lashes not just one brand.
It is true; she is not cheap. But I don’t think she is the most expensive Lash Extensionist either. I love the lashes she gave me and I look forward to next 3 weeks when I will return for my next fill!!! She also gives you a bag of kit and instructions on how to take care of your lashes. She also asks that if I have any questions at all, I can contact her at any time. She is awesome!

Jennifer is a master at lashes and brows! She did such a fabulous job on mine. The best I’ve ever had. I don’t hesitate to recommend her. She takes her time and makes sure that everything is done perfectly.

Jennifer’s skill is unmatched as a lash and brow artist. She is passionate about delivering the very finest service for the client. Jennifer will inquire about your preferences and tailor your lash application to your specifications, while making recommendations for an incredible look. Not only will you look fabulous, but your lashes will be comfortable. She is the best!

Hands down, Jennifer is THE BEST at what she does — I’ve had Novalash extensions done by 4 or 5 different people over the last couple of years, and my lashes LOOK THE BEST and LAST THE LONGEST when she does them — my lash growth is never compromised, and her lash extensions remain bonded to individual lashes pushing up to 2 months. (I’ve had the occasion where I’ve gotten a quick and cheap fill from someone other than Jennifer and watched as those very same extensions started to fall off the same night.) Her technique is exceptionally gentle and meticulous. I’ve also never had any other stylist maintain an asceptic (sterile/​clean) technique the way Jennifer does — she keeps safety and wellness as top priorities. Furthermore, she is always a pleasure to deal with — she is a highly attentive and consistently professional businesswoman and artist. I haven’t entered many official reviews online, but Jennifer is truly a gem worth celebrating!

Jennifer is the absolute BEST at what she does. I have been getting lashes from her for over 4 years and every time is better than the next. I’ve been complimented on my lashes hundreds of times, and no one ever suspects that they are enhanced, because they are so natural looking. I have endured traffic and travelled many miles on several occasions to get my lashes done by Jennifer, but it has been totally worth it! I would never go to anyone else. I even had her do them for my wedding recently. I have had friends who have paid more for lashes than Jennifer charges and the quality was not even close to hers. I don’t usually write many reviews, but Jennifer is deserving of this, and she is definitely worth 5 stars… she is a true artist!

JENNIFER IS FABULOUS! I would be lost without her as she saved my eyes and eyelashes! I have traveled coast to coast having my eyelashes treated at different locations. I know I am very particular and have allowed only a select few touch my eyelashes. There are salons that appear to be clean and will tell you anything to get the sale. I foolishly believed in one woman in Alexandria who almost damaged my eyes with a terrible cheap glue she used when applying individual eyelashes. I reached out to the DCLashQUEEN who on my first visit spent a few hours educating me on what had happened to my eyelashes and why I was suffering muscle spasms. Over the last few months I have had not one spasm, my eyelashes have grown and I of course, still have the individuals applied to them, making them even longer and more beautiful. I receive compliments daily on how beautiful my eyes are. My own family CAN’T EVEN TELL I have added lashes, as they look so natural. I will never allow anyone else to touch my eyelashes again exceot for Jennifer, definitely the DCLashQUEEN! This woman loves what she does, takes pride in the execution of perfection, is highly educated in her field, takes the time to educate her clients and is genuine! Her prices are more than fair and on top of this, she is humble. I adore this most about her because she really is unaware of how great she truly is! Her goal is to help make your eyelashes and you more beautiful. Believe it! I look forward to my visits with her as I consider her my friend. Why wouldn’t I? She saved my eyes! and my eyelashes! LOVE HER!!!
