Full disclosure. This is not Betsy. I am her fiancé, Jason. I do not care to review food as I’m not a foodie, though I’m about to marry one so I get to try a lot of good food! I asked her to let me review the absolutely atrocious calzones that come out of this place. What’s weird is, a few days ago I ordered a pepperoni calzone, and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked with awesome mozzarella and great pepperoni. My fiancé was jealous so she decided to order us some calzones tonight. They were dreadful! The dough was soggy and undercooked. The insides were covered with this gross tomato paste tasting stuff(before there was none), there was barely any spinach or pepperoni(hers) in either, and the cheese was not the same cheese used merely a few days ago. Furthermore, the roof of the calzone kept collapsing in the goop below, and the dough was much more bland this time as well. It was pretty bad. However, I give this a 1 not because it was the worst food ever, but because when a restaurant can do better and doesn’t, that’s a laziness and quality control issue. We will find somewhere else to get our food

Jalapeño poppers, my number one reason for repeatedly coming back to Kings. They also are clutch for late night delivery munchies. They make a solid lamb gyro and their pizza is worth the money as well. Not a huge fan of the hummus or their cold cuts but, that’s not really the type of food I want from a late night, post bar, food spot. They’re on grubhub too!

Their Mediterranean dishes were delicious and food was delivered hot and on time. Pleasantly surprised ordering for the first time. Will definitely order again.

I would not suggest eating here… The food is bland… you can tell they haven’t changed the fryer grease in a long time… The Grease on the pizza was disgusting and it was still doughy… worst pizza I’ve had in Baltimore

I have ordered a lot from this place but I am done now. I placed a order for delivery for chicken subs and received steaks. When I call back I receive a bad attitude before I prove i was right. Then after them admitted I was right, and they will deliver it back shortly they call back again and claim that the order was placed a long time ago, which shouldn’t matter. Then they wanted me to give the opened subs back to them to return, which is unsanitary. DONTORDERFROMTHEM!!! This is the second this happened and it won’t happen again.

I like their chicken fajita pizza, chicken steak sub, fries, ice cream and milkshakes. Pizza is very flavorful from the sauce, to toppings to the crust. Toppings on the pizza are generous though layout is not ideal. Once they put all toppings on one half of the pizza and the other half was pretty much empty. I had never seen that before so it looked funny lol. I redistributed toppings myself. The taste however was awesome so definitely try them. The pizza and the crust have a lot of flavor. Love their pizza. I have yet to try the kebob side of the restaurant. Service has been nice so far yet not overly zealous by any means.

I was happy to order online, since when I’ve called in orders in the past the woman who takes orders has been consistently rude. Tonight, I ordered the falafel and asked for extra tahini sauce as it tends to be dry. I got no sauce instead after waiting an hour for delivery. I think I’m done with this place.

Do NOT dine in. I don’t know if all of the waitstaff here is awful, but the woman who has been there the past two times we’ve gone is – without exaggeration – the most miserable person I’ve ever had the misfortune of meeting. Our most recent experience went like this: my fiancé and I walked into the kabob side of the restaurant – which was empty, like always – and we thought about seating ourselves, but wanted to make sure someone knew we were there. So we walked into the pizza/ice cream side, where the lady had her back to us as she was making a milkshake. I let out a friendly«hello!» loud enough, I thought, for her to hear over the blender, but there was no response. So we awkwardly and patiently stood there and waited for her to finish. About 15 seconds later, she turns her head toward us(and doesn’t at all seem surprised to see customers standing there!) and says with a super disgusted look on her face«Can I help you?» Except it felt more like a «Whaddyou want?» I pointed to the other room and asked«Should we just seat ourselves or???» To which she replied by turning her head back away from us and said«Yeah.» My fiancé and I walked back into the kabob room and left. She had already ruined one dinner experience that we had had there, leaving us incredulous at how terribly rude and off putting she was; we weren’t about to let her bring down the mood of our dinner again. The food here is decently good(we’ve gotten the falafels, shawarma, tandoori chicken, hummus, and pitas), and best of all, it’s hella cheap. But also best of all is that the«pita»(which is different from pitas anywhere else) is the size of a medium pizza. I would eat from here again… but will never dine in as long as that awful woman is there.

King’s is one of the only places in the neighborhood with a kitchen open later than 11:00PM(until 2:00AM on the weekends), so it works if you just need a pizza after everyone else has closed. But I’ve gotta call this out: what is up with the wings? They’re terrible. The«buffalo» wings aren’t even tossed in buffalo sauce, and the barbecue ones are the same wings with(cold) generic barbecue sauce dumped on them after they’re piled into the Styrofoam carry-out container. Just straight-up bad food.

I usually get a sub from here. Usually, a chicken parm or cheesteak. Tried their pizza and was disappointed. Very greasy and the cheese was jumbled up into clunks. Ew will stick with their subs.

I’m usually seen here getting chicken tenders at various late hours on the weekends but I decided to try here for lunch since I was really craving a gyro. This is probably the saddest excuse for a gyro I’ve ever seen, eaten, or digested. Points for speed and convenience but I definitely won’t be returning for anything other than basic fried foods.

We had a terrible meal. The mixed grill shawarma was inedible. I have never had shawarma in a sweet tomato sauce. The babaganoush was a pasty mess. The only thing just ok was the hummus. Sorry we ate.

The food here is delicious. Unfortunately, the service staff is less than excited to serve customers, and downright abrasive if you stop in after 11PM. Additionally, their menu board prices do not reflect their actual prices, and they’ll admit to it. Make sure you’re not banking on price alone, and have a couple extra bucks to reflect the«increase in price.» Bottom line: your best bet is to order delivery if you’re local; the staff would rather not deal with an in-person customer that has any specific requests. But the food is great and priced reasonably. Recommended for sure, if you’re willing to put up with more than a bit of attitude from the employees here.

I ordered two cold cut sandwiches and they were very good. The bread was very soft, and the meats were of decent quality(not the most expensive and quality brands of meats, but perfectly fine). The sandwiches were prepared exactly as we had asked. I would say that there was a little bit too much mayonnaise for an Italian cold cut sub. I did really like the very kind gentleman that served me when I went to pick up the sandwiches. Plus, after I paid for my meal, he gave me two free cans of soda. What a nice gesture! That is a nice and inexpensive way to get loyalty from your local customers.

I took my mother, sister, and daughter here for lunch. The pizza was decent, but we waited over half an hour to get it because the cashier was too busy having a very loud, profanity riddled conversation with her friends to notice that our order was done and waiting in the kitchen. I’m not uptight about occasional swearing but doing it excessively in front of customers(particularly customers with children) is unprofessional, and ignoring them to socialize is even more so. The pizza itself was not bad, but not mind blowing. We won’t be returning.

They’re falafel is delicious and the usual staff are always nice. My only issue is they hired a woman who lets her kids holler and run around the shop(front and back of the shop, one was even sloppily helping to prepare the food) in the evening. It would be one thing if the kids and women seemed professional and competent but the woman was loudly scolding her kids and hollering on about her personal life to a friend and the kids were literally running around everywhere.

Guess what? A lot of their Middle Eastern options are vegan! You wouldn’t expect it of this greasy little Hampden pizza joint, but they make a great falafel. The salad left a lot to be desired, so perhaps order the appetizer size and add it to your own salad. The outside of the falafel balls is perfectly crispy with a bright green delicious inside. Baba ganoush is good too! If something on the Middle Eastern menu sounds vegan, just ask – it probably is! Delivery came in 15 minutes(in Hampden).

For what it is, a fast food style small multi-food restaurant… it does the job well. My biggest hatred of fast food like this is that they over salt their food. If the two Items I had are a good indication of their normal service then they do a good job balancing the food. Here is my take out experience 1) Lamb Gyro — good flavor, tzatziki wasn’t the best i’ve had it didn’t have as much kick as I like .it was a little too mayo-y/creamy for me but still decent. Standard lettuce, tomatoes. The pita was slightly overcooked, a little more crunchy than a nice warmed pita. The lamb had a decent flavor, thinly sliced, possibly could have used a little more meat but all together not a bad gyro 2) Chicken Shwarma — Comes platter style, big pita bread on the side, chicken and lettuce. Good seasoning on the chicken, great greek flavor mixture, not oversalted, fairly tender. The pita bread was money. They spread garlicy butter on the bread. Money. The yogurt had a slight acidity but again, not as much as I like. Still decent. All in all I was pleased. Prices are reasonable, quality is there, wasn’t destroyed on the way to my place, and they delivered about 5 minutes after the time they gave online. When I have a hankering for this type of fast food style food I’ll gladly order here again.

In my last review, I saw so impressed by the shawarma and falafel and pita that I said I’ll give the gyro a shot next time. It seemed like a promising idea, especially since while I love Samos, it’s a little too far away to get the gyros whenever I have a gyro craving. Anyways, today, as promised, I tried King’s again. and picked the gyro. It wasn’t bad. The pita this time was a little bit over-toasted and was therefore a little on the hard side. The gyro itself had a good amount of filling(lettuce, tomatoes, onions) and enough of the tzatziki sauce to be noticed in each bit. However, the meat slices here were on the thinner side of things. Overall, it’s a decent eat. However, I think you’re better off getting the shawarma, which seems to be a better tasting(yet similar) option on their menu. Falafels were still good as last time. Although they appear to not to be store made, they are cooked perfectly to give the crunch on the outside while providing tenderness on the inside. Gonna retain the 4 star rating from last time :)
