I really wanted to love this place. It is quirky Baltimore at it’s best. It’s a million dollar view. The people are really friendly and really seem to be trying. The food and service was mediocre at best. My daughters had a vegetarian pizza and rated it OK. The calzones and stromboli were huge but just OK. My lasagne which was served last wasn’t fully cooked with cold chunks of sausage in it. When I say served last that means five minutes after everybody else at the table was served. Maybe pay more attention to what you are doing and upgrade the quality of the food not the big portion quantity. If I was to return I would stick to the pizza. They seemed to be doing a good amount of pizza deliveries.

If you love Bmore, Hon, you will embrace Angelo’s Pie in the Sky! Funky with a view! Not to be missed. More than that, there’s the food. Top attention is paid to every detail. First the basics, crust and rolls. These are the real Italian deal here. Next the meal itself. Homemade meatballs — plump and delectable. Well prepared and tasty on all counts. Been here several times recently. We always leave happy! Tried multiple items. Always happy. Now it’s a go to place with friends. Have given five stars in past and overlooked«new» waitresses. But this evening, the place was packed and they could not handle it! My husband and two young grandchildren finished an entire pizza and my fried fish entrée was still not ready. Took it to go. Fish undercooked, liquid like breading. Disappointing.

Best view in the city from this most odd location and restaurant. It is on the top floor of a residential low income elderly housing unit near Hampden and Roland Park! At least… I think so. You park by high rise housing… right by a graveyard.(Btw…have you ever noticed that low income housing for seniors is by graveyards??? Odd.). You walk in the building… just minimal signage… the front desk people size you up and then direct you to push«R» on the elevator. I assume that is roof? Restaurant? Up you climb to the 15th floor on a rickety residential elevator. The doors open… and a sign greets you with specials, you turn the corner and… you are stunned with likely the best city lights view in the ENTIRE city… no joke! A million dollar, «windows on the world view»…with a family owned pizza and sub shop you’d find on Harford Road or Bel Air! There is a bar but no alcohol. Might be BYOB. If so… run here now for the setting… and bring your own awesome stash. Food is cheap and good. Salads are old style iceberg lettuce… good and cheap. Menu has lots of subs… a Stromboli… deli sandwiches, meatball sandwich, eggplant parm, some pastas, and the pizza. Again… not fancy… Italian sub shop type. We got«The Works» pizza with veggies and some Italian meats. So many fresh toppings that the sauce became a little watery from the veggies but just delicious. My son got a 10 inch personal cheese that was dripping with hot stringy cheese… as you pulled… and pulled… and pulled. Friendly staff… a mix of patrons from residents to what looked like neighborhood folk and a few college students. Honestly…the oddest restaurant with a view I’ve been to… no pretension… cheap…and million dollar view.

Ok, so we loved it. We walk into the senior building that houses the restaurant and a few elderly folks greet us. «You are going to the roof?» Referring to the restaurant. Good guess as we are 40 years their junior. The place is super casual and friendly. Big windows, cool layout and amazing views. Nothing fancy but the windows make the place so unique and a bit captivating. So fun to look around and find landmarks. We left before sunset but server showed us sunset photos on her phone that were lovely. Next time! We ordered pizza and a tossed salad. Good salad. The pizza was really good. One of(or maybe THE) closest to NY style that I have had in Bmore and I have shopped around! Decent sized menu with sandwiches, pasta, etc. BYOB. Would be cool event venue!

Yes it’s the million dollar view that’s the best of any sub pizza joint in Baltimore! The adventure of parking in the church lot, getting into the high rise and exiting from the elevator on the rooftop is an unexpected prelude that might make you wonder whether you wandered into a chapter in a John Waters book. And then, down a short hall, BAM! Windows on 3 sides gave us a stunning view from Towson to the Key Bridge. So, on a low budget, I can take my girl out for really good pizza seated with a million dollar view. After going a few times, there are a couple of really good items one likes to find in a small business. The meatballs are real real good. And the bread, it’s so good I think Angelo must make it himself. It gives the sub rolls a light crunch that’s perfect. And the pizza crust is always cooked perfectly. Another thing I like is they don’t skimp on the toppings like the chains do.

Wish I had something to actually review. Ordered on Eater24 and was called by the restaurant over a hour and a half to only be informed they don’t deliver to my area. I understand that mistakes happen, but why did it so long for me to be notified? Oh and the money was still taken out of my account. Thanks a bunch:)

Interesting place. On the top of a retirement housing building that isn’t in great shape. The view of the city is what brought us. Staff was super friendly and prices were quite cheap. Portions large however food was mediocre. Definitely a fun place to check k out and it’s a byob . We got the calzone which was absolutely huge. Also had the chicken parm with ziti. Sauce tasted very generic. A bit greasy as well.

The pizza here is deeeelish! Salads are nice and fresh and crisp! The view is to die for. This is a great place to come for a casual evening and linger with good friends! Bring your favorite wine or beer and just relax! The view is to die for!

So the good parts first. The people couldn’t be nicer. The pizza sauce was tasty and the toppings were fine. The view is sweeping. Now for the reasons we won’t be going back. The crust was boring, almost tasted like cardboard. There should have been more/better cheese.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Nearly two hours after ordering one pizza and one salad, we still hadn’t received anything. Numerous calls to check on the order were met with totally unconcerned responses of, «It’s on the way.» I finally called back to cancel the order and the woman who answered the phone, and seriously couldn’t have given a shit less, just said, «Ok.» When I told her we wouldn’t be ordering from them again, she just said, «Ok, goodnight.» Yeah, f you too. Owners, you may want to get new staff in there, people who can handle a predictably busy Friday night, and who have even halfway decent customer service. It’s a shame, because your pizza is pretty decent.

I think that Angelos in their new location is better than the old location. For one, they are actually cooking the pizza like it should be cooked, not the mushy, undercooked pizza that gets made at a lot of other places, especially in Hampden. The ingredients are good and the price reasonable. If the pizza had the cornmeal on the bottom, it would be a super solid old school pizza like I grew up with.(Just my preference). I have only had delivery, so I can’t comment on the restaurant, but the view sounds nice!

Absolutely the best pizza place this side of Baltimore. I was heart broken when there shop on Keswick closed down. However, they’ve reopened, not too far away and i am more then delighted. This place can’t be beat! Phenomenal!

First of all, Ron B., it’s MARINARA, not mariner. Misspellings detract from a legit review. Also, the pizza oven is not in the middle of the room, and there are way more than six tables. Did you actually look around? And did you consider that maybe the prices can be as low as they are because the rent is dirt cheap? Who complains about low prices, anyway? We’ve been to the top floor of this retirement home in all its iterations: Grandview, The Dizz, Grandview again. We also used to visit Angelo’s in Hampden on a weekly basis when our kids were younger. Sooo excited that Angelo’s landed here! Went last week and shared a chef salad and veggie pizza with hubby. I will admit the salad was not a wow, but the pizza was. Not skimpy with the veggies, and because the price for a 16″ was extremely reasonable, we ordered big to have leftovers. Also, BYOB here. No corking fee. Score! The servers came to our table several times to check on us, and Angelo himself stopped by to chat. We will definitely return and do yourself a favor — go when the sun is setting. The view of Baltimore turning her night lights on is spectacular!

The 1 star reviews are not deserving. I’ve been eating this pizza for over 30 years and it’s my favorite by far. In fact, I don’t know why he’s lowered his prices when others are way higher. I know when ordering that I’ll get lots of toppings and a lot of cheese which is just what I like. As for the reviewer who commented on the ingredients I just don’t understand. Domino’s is crappy ingredients not Angelo’s. Rob C. could be correct in the service. I don’t know how fast food joints mess up orders so much. Place order, cook order, customer picks up order. This is not the only place that has gotten my order wrong though. I guess it’s just laziness of not reading the ticket. Anyhow, I’m glad to have my favorite pizza back. I hope they’re successful because other businesses in that location have failed.

It’s back!!! My boyfriend and I have missed Angelos pizza after its 36th St location closed a few months ago. We were so stoked to learn it has re-opened at this new location! We got carry out and the pizza is just as delicious as we remembered :) thank you, Angelos! Best pizza in bmore.
