Codcakes with garlic were amazing. Also enjoyed the special which was red pepper soup. Friendly staff, plenty of room for small group.

Awesome place! Everyone was nice! Including the owners… The bartender emphasized the importance of a designated driver when I visited with my friends ! Jerk wings are to die for!

Great food, service leaves much to be desired. Told them we wanted to split checks at the beginning, and manager screwed it up — took almost 45 minutes to check out.

Bottom Line: A well thought out restaurant with a very friendly staff and a delicious menu. I landed at In Like Flynn Tavern on my way to Fort McHenry. I was here during Saturday brunch/lunch so it was very tame here but I can imagine this place can be roaring on weekend nights. The menu had tons of good options on it but based on other Unilocal reviews I decided to get the Guinness Pie which contained super flavorful braised beef and veggies. My SO also kept it very Irish and got the fish and chips. This fish was lightly fried and a perfect golden color. There is some parking behind the restaurant and the adjacent row homes but if you aren’t lucky enough to get a spot there, you will have to hunt for street parking. The day I was here service was a little slow because there was a huge party there but I could tell that the owner was really making an effort to attend to all customers. This is probably a 3.5 stars business but I am rounding up to four stars in the spirit of fostering a local business.

I was only there to celebrate a birthday so it was mostly sitting at the bar and having a drink. But the drinks were amazing and the bartender was super friendly. The entire atmosphere felt like an Irish pub is suppose to feel like it was a hometown feel and it didn’t matter that they didn’t know you at all but everyone said hello that was sitting at the bar. There was a live band that was awesome.

I had to knock it down a bit– the ale bar on the street formerly known as Noffavnoo has much more authentic/entertaining décor/ambiance. Both need to find or create professional bar staff. Dare I say even(ugh!) Mick O’Shea’s does better on this score… though their menu rivals the Golden Arches for originality… Unilocal– you need better writers; open the purse strings & fire the robots

I had the Guinness pie. They gave me a pie and left me smiling like it was a piece of pie. Went here with a group of six and it was accommodating. They got really good drinks at the bar and the chef owner has done a great thing hear. Music plays on the weekend another great reasoning to common the weekend and the price inequality to the great quality of food your getting. Great means price is very befitting of the good food yet so reasonable my favorite place to come when I’m downtown Baltimore

I ordered french onion soup as an appetizer and it was fantastic. I ordered the grilled veggie panini as my entrée and it was very delicious as well. We came at lunch time and it was pretty empty, so that might be the time to go if you are in a rush and looking for a quieter venue.

Always a great place for good food and service. Great for friends to enjoy good relaxed conversation over a nice variety of. Cod cakes and crab cakes are good, bruscetta with feta with gives a different twist. Bread pudding was really good along with the bill …

As baltimore city residents, we’ve been here a few times. It’s a beautiful location compared to the previous bar, which was no comparison from a interior design perspective. They have a great Irish beer selection. Food is ok. Sliders are always soggy. I still order them because the flavor is good and I am hoping they figure out the issue and correct it. Portions are decent, not huge. The fries are really yummy, GIVEUSMORE! The mac n chez is delicious(and indulgent.) The live music and warmth of the hands-on owner/s make this place special.

Food was ok but really overpriced for the amount of food you get and location. Probably wouldn’t go out of my way to go there again.

Went friday, dunno if it was an off day or because they were gearing up for their big at Patrick’s day block party in Saturday but it took forever for a veggie panini and a burger. The staff was very nice and the sweet potato fries were good but one side of my burger was super burned like someone forgot about it. We had our almost two year old with us so I ate it so we could get going before bed time.

Really weren’t sure what to expect since it’s in the fancy/trendy Silo Point. We were OH so pleasantly surprised! Very down to Earth unpretentious atmosphere and super top notch service. We were served by one of the owners who gave excellent suggestions on tasty bits to try and suggestions on booze(served by the lovely Cora from McCabe’s!). We gorged ourselves on the Mac & Cheese and sliders(may need a second stomach next time we come). The Sunday night we were there, the Irish band was just finishing up.(there about 6:30ish). I think it’s a weekly thing? Also to note, even tho it’s a pretty large space filled with patrons, we could actually each each other talk. The owner told us they installed sound proofing(dampening?) in the walls and ceiling. Made a huge difference with the«older» guests that joined us that night! We will be back — if only for the Beef and Guinness Pie!

It’s not common that seeing the chef’s children running around the bar is a welcome sight — In Like Flynn is the rare place where that’s all good.(The family friendliness at 7 pm on a Saturday is even more remarkable considering the St. Paddy’s Days I spent in J. Patrick’s.) The menu is one of those where you can’t order everything you want. I had the potato soup and my party split the bacon-wrapped pretzels(the more remarkable of the two dishes). Staying small with the entrée, I chose the corned beef sausage — amazing how the corned beef flavor came through. I tasted the Guinness pie — great flavor, but be careful of the way it holds in the heat. The other two in my party split the crabcake meal; I was dubious of that decision, but they seemed pleased. I’ll definitely be back.

Not your average Irish bar(in a good way). The décor inside is beautiful and the menu is unique: Irish with some Caribbean influence. Almost everything is made in-house and all the ingredients are fresh. My favorite appetizers are the seafood dip and the cod cakes(they’re HUGE). The turkey club is surprisingly very good, not what you’d expect to be the star item on a menu but I’ve tried the jerk burger and the ruben and I still like the club the best. The jerk burger was overcooked and dry, but I’m willing to give it another try. They have really good red sangria which is a fantastic deal during happy hour! Beware, it’s on the strong side and served in a pint glass! Minus one star because we came in with a group of 6 or 7 once and were told we couldn’t be seated because they already had another large group… but there were plenty of single tables that they didn’t offer to put together for us. I felt like there was little effort to accommodate our party and they didn’t seem to care when we told them we’d just dine elsewhere. I’ll continue to go here but I wouldn’t recommend for groups unless you have a reservation.

Highlights: great HH deals, cool interior, spotless bathrooms, good food with good prices. Lowlights: sluggish service considering the small crowd and bad sausage/bun ratio(see below) Stopped in on a Monday night during happy hour. There were about a dozen or so other patrons. Cool bar setting and great HH deals($ 5 glasses of wine, $ 4 drafts, etc.). My husband and I split the spinach salad as an appetizer. They were thoughtful enough to plate it on two dishes so we’re weren’t fighting over it with our forks. And, I’m sure you’re thinking — who would fight over a spinach salad? Let me tell you — the salad was absolutely delicious. Garnished perfectly with picked red onions, goat cheese, beets and a balsamic dressing. We both had the corned beef Sausage as an entrée. The sausage was delicious but too small for the overwhelming bun. The hand cut fries were yummy. I we got one order of sweet Potatoe and one order or regular fries which were both delicious. Bottome line: The bun/meat ratio and sluggish service steal one star away from this overall awesome bar.

We happened to wander by this place on a Monday night and thought we’d stop in for a few drinks. The Guinness pours were perfection! We had a few entrees — the Jamaican pork/beef burger was a bit on the dry side but had a huge kick of flavor and I thought it was unique and delicious. Their daily special was a blackened rockfish sandwich which was perfectly crispy on the outside and smooth and flaky on the inside. It was perfectly seasoned and not overcooked. Loved that I could get it on a pretzel bun! The truffle fries were really not amazing and I was pretty disappointed as i love most truffle fries. Also, $ 10 for a plate of fries(even with«truffle») is steep! I think if the truffle topping was put on a thicker cut fry, it would have been better. I did enjoy the sweet potato fries though! Overall, I thought it was a bit overpriced for the area, but the food was fabulous!
