This place gets 5 stars for friendly service and beer options, but 2 for food, thus, I can’t justify more than 3 stars. The bartenders are super friendly, and there’s a nice selection of brews, but I’ve unfortunately had several sub-par food experiences there. The most recent involved a pickup order on a Sunday night: cream of tomato soup and fried mac-n-cheese bites for me, a chicken club for my roommate. Great in theory, not so great in execution. I actually tend to be an over-salter, but the tomato soup was so salty that I couldn’t eat more than a few spoonfuls. The mac-n-cheese bites were an interesting concept, as they were made with orzo and pepperjack versus macaroni and cheddar, but the end result was surprisingly bland. I asked my roommate how he liked his sandwich, and he was enthusiastically negative. To his credit, I did sneak one of his fries on the way home, and it was disappointingly greasy and under-cooked. Fingers crossed future food experiences at Fleet Street are better, if I end up giving it another shot. Great people, just need to fine-tune the dish prep. In all fairness, it could have been an off night.

So we decided to check this new place out that replaced Geckos. We walked in and we greeted immediately by the ladies behind the bar. This place has also been completely gutted and was way different then what Geckos looked like. It was a Friday night and the place was pretty much empty. We sat upstairs in the 2nd level area. There is a lower level that had a foosball table and more seating. There was also a 3rd level that also contained more seating. I took a gander at the beer list. It was mediocre at best. Mostly every beer on tap was a mainstream brew, miller lite, bud lite, etc. They did have a decent amount of local beers in bottles. I went with the Burger Cookie Stout. The menu looked pretty decent. My lady got the special which was like a french dip with cheese whiz on it. Fries came with that. I got the chicken club on wheat with the old bay chips. It came with a garlic mayo. Our sandwiches were ok. My chicken sandwich was pretty small, not much chicken in it and the chicken was a little on the dry side. The chips were ok, but they were SUPER salty. It was like eating a salt lick and I like salt. Needless to say the waitress came back often to fill the waters. Overall this place was ok. I would probably return to try it out again. The service was very good and the ladies behind the bar were very nice.

Let me start out by saying I wish I could give them 5 stars. This place is a good Baltimore bar with friendly staff and good atmosphere but my food experience was not so great. The Good: Wow…if you saw what use to be here you would say wow too. They did a great job fixing up the place. Beautiful bar, plenty of seating, tons of TVs, I like the paint color, plenty of bar games and much improved bathrooms. The bar staff wins the most friendly award. Quick with service, offer great suggestions on drinks and they make you feel at home. The beer offering is solid. Plenty of local brews. I would like to see some more regional microbrews but I’m nitpicking. The food menu has a lot to offer. The Bad: Although the food menu looks to be pretty delightful I always judge a place by their wings… its weird but a good wing says a lot. Unfortunately, the wings were not impressive at all. I ordered the Old Bay wings with a side of ranch. I received my wings in a timely fashion but here is where it goes down hill. First off, the presentation was lacking…3 pieces of celery, the carrots were the baby carrots you buy at the grocery store and they looked old and had little crunch. Maybe they hung out under the heat lamp too long but honestly, I like my carrots freshly cut and I want a tad more celery. The wings themselves were horrible. Soggy sums it up! I like them crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside… these were neither. It was like they were reheated or left in the oil too long. I ate about 4 of them and could not stomach any more. Disappointing, but what was worse is that you only get 8 wings for $ 10…thats not a fair price in my book. Nothing set these wings apart from the other bars in the area. They were rather small comparatively, if you gonna charge a premium then a least make them big boy wings! I’m use to getting 10 solid wings for roughly $ 7-$ 9 with fresh cut carrots and a good serving of celery. Thats where the bar is set. Lastly, I like ranch with my wings, they offer a red pepper ranch which is good but not what I wanted with Old Bay wings. Just offer a regular ranch. The saving grace: Angie the bartender is awesome! She is witty, fun and will destroy you with her Vegas bombs! She kept the bar lively and never left you without a fresh beer in your hand. Overall, I do like this place and would go back again and maybe try something else on the menu and update my review. But they need to fix the wings… I know its just wings but wings are damn popular in Charm City and you gotta do them right.

Stopped by FST yesterday. I had a burger and fries; Old Cheddar and Bacon burger. The burger was seasoned perfectly and on a yummy ciabatta roll. The fries were just as delicious. They have a nice selection of items on the menu and from my first experience today, I would definitely go back. The owners have done a great job with the rehab of the facility from what the building used to be. It’s the kind of place I’d like to see stay in my neighborhood!!! Give it a shot, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

Seriously amazing and seriously underrated. They have a great selection of beer and great food. You wouldn’t think this place was as good as it is from the outside. The interior is really great looking, it’s all exposed brick. The prices are likewise reasonable. I highly recommend — one of the more underrated places in Baltimore.

This place has quickly become one of my favorite bar/restaurants in the city! The place has a great ambiance: three floors, nicely decorated, pool table upstairs, and has plenty of TV’s. It is my preferred spot to watch games. The food is always fantastic and the service is very friendly and attentive. I live closeby and come here at least once a week for dinner or drinks. Their wings and burgers are amazing and in my opinion easily rival any of the best wing and burger restaurants in the area! Some notable menu items… garlic parm wings, portabello burger, poacher burger, pulled pork nachos(innovative and the BEST), seafood chowder and fish and chips are some of my favorites. There is also a great beer selection including local brews and they make a awesome, freshly squeezed orange crush! My boyfriend recently had his birthday dinner here with over 20 people attending. It was an absolute success. Rob the main chef went above and beyond to accomodate us and made us the most delicious three course dinner, all for a great deal! After such a great experience, I highly recommend holding your birthday, holiday, any event dinners here! If you haven’t been to this gem on Fleet Street yet, you neeed to go!

This may become our new favorite neighborhood bar for date night! The beer and spirits selections were higher end and plentiful and the food — tonight’s special was chili mac and cheese — is delicious!

Saturday evening in the pouring rain we decided to dash out, raincoat and umbrellas in hand, for a burger at one of our favorite restaurants. We were almost there when we decided to try a new place. It didn’t hurt that Fleet Street Tavern was only steps away! Turns out they have, in my opinion, the best burgers in the city! The excellent quality of the meat they use coupled with the honed grilling and seasoning skills by the chef provide a burger experience unsurpassed by none. The house cut fries, coleslaw were equally delicious! I’m a burger purist so I ordered the American Style Burger while my friend ordered the Brie Burger. 5 stars for both! Let’s rally support for this restaurant! Check it out, soon!

UPDATE10÷27÷14 Rob, Amy and co have truly made this a gem of the city. I can’t give enough stellar reviews about this place. Simply incredible. First off, the food. Wow. Rob is a culinary master and it really shows in every dish. The wings are the best in the city(sorry kislings). I am a huge wing guy and eat them everywhere, and the ones here are mouth watering good. The burgers are absolutely incredible as well as the fish and chips. The pulled pork nachos are, hands down, the best nachos I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Seriously do yourself a favor and order them whenever you are there. The food isn’t the only thing that is great. They have also made fantastic strides to «localize» their beer selection. Currently repping Full Tilt brewery, local boys right in canton, and soon to be having many more like Union Craft etc. The bar itself continues to impress. Beautiful layout with top notch staff. The bartenders are the best around. Constantly attentive and on top of everything you could need. If you live even remotely close to Fleet Street Tavern, you have absolutely no reason to not be eating dinner in here and/or celebrating happy hour at least once or twice a week. — — — — — — — — — — — — — ***ORIGINALREVIEW*** The place is awesome inside, the bartenders are great and the food is awesome(the burgers, wings and nachos… Killer). The only negative is the beer selection; It needs a MAJOR overhaul. Baltimore is a big craft/micro brew town and to not have any popular craft beers on tap is a damn shame. Your entire tap system should not consist of all macro crappy beers(bud, miller etc) And if that is the case and there is no way around having those on tap, at least your bottle selection should be expansive and unique. But, again, it isn’t. Just every typical, no frills bottles you can think of. This place could truly make a name for itself and stand out if it embraced the micro brews. Union Craft, Dogfish Head, Heavy Seas, Burley Oak, Full Tilt. Again… The effort doesn’t even have to be displayed in the taps(although it should) if you have an awesome can/bottle selection. All you need to make people happy in Bmore is to have Natty Boh and awesome craft beers… Loose the other stuff.

Great, affordable, friendly local bar/restaurant with a more expansive menu than the average pub.
