Super clean and very secure. I feel great about leaving my belongings here. I would recommend this to anyone needing storage.

I had just arrived in Dundalk from DC, the stress of packing a U-Haul with all my belongings weighing heavy on my back. Extra Space Storage was a peaceful haven tucked away in the woods on Rt 40. Carissa made the experience painless, and I am very appreciative. Everything was digitized so no paperwork to file. When I digitally signed the contract, they sent a copy to my inbox so I could save it to my computer. I love living in a digital world! So much easier to stay organized when everything is a click away. Carissa took me to my storage unit on a golf cart so I didn’t have to use the last of my moving energy to walk to the unit. She showed me the unit to ensure it was a good size for me, and it was perfect. Stacked, all of my belongings fit in the 5×5. I travel light, no furniture, so it worked. They keep your card on file so no worrying about writing a check every month. This is probably standard, but I would recommend this location for the peacefulness of the locale and friendliness of the staff. Also, I got there at 5:05 when they close at 5:30, but they didn’t rush me at all. Even though it was obvious they had a long and busy day(it was a Saturday), they were still upbeat and friendly. A+ service.

My whole experience has been great so far. Carissa was pretty friendly but there are a few things to be improved: 1) I arrived there at 430PM(an hour before close) and they were closed(with the sign saying they were on break till 445) so I went back to my car to wait for them. I noticed 4 minutes later that the sign had changed to open so I went in and asked Carissa how long she’d been in and she told me 15 minutes #sideeye I was there 4 minutes ago and you were not open. It’s cool to be on break, but don’t lie when I ask you about it. Also I assume she came back out since you heard me knocking, I was the only one in the lot so she could have just stepped out and let me know(but this is only assuming she knew I was there) 2) I wasn’t told about the mandatory unit insurance(add’l $ 10) 3) I wasn’t told I needed a lock. I’m a first time renter and just assumed it would come with it(add’l $ 8 for a basic lock) 4) I was told about the onsite manager incase i needed something, but I wasn’t given her contact info which sort of made it pointless
