Elite Event: EOTM Toast At The Tavern At The Admiral

Yes, You over there… I’m tell you a little secret. (that’s right I can’t hold water)
One of Baltimore’s best keep secret is the Tavern in the basement. Yes in the basement. You will be greeted by Steve the bartender, who is so knowledgeable and friendly. You enter the room to see all the Christmas decorations along the walls and at the bar. It has a 1920’s type feel about it. The bar is fully yes fully stocked. Recently, a small group of Elites of the Month had an opportunity (treated like the Royals we are (don’t get mad)) to receive private mixology lesson from him.
Steve put the holiday twist to a couple of classics. The Santa sidecar, Holiday Cranberry Olé Fashion and Holiday Apple Cider each cocktail was skillfully crafted down to the garnish. I learned a lot about bitters, different glass chilling techniques and the right glass usage. Steve have a strong hand/​pour. After each drink was made it was shot time. The drinks are strong, one sip had me feeling nice. The Tavern is known for the Moscow Mule. It’s a must try for all. The atmosphere is laid back nice and slow. You are able to have you iTunes play in the background.
The best part of the event for me was Steve’s stories and his ability to give you the history of the cocktail drinks. His love for Baltimore will have you wrapped up and cheer #Team Baltimore.
I will be back… oh wait… did you know the Admiral Inn do ghost tours? Don’t be scared come out for the fun.

First I want to say Thanks Elsa! It was such a fun night celebrating all of the EOTMs! The photo session with Jon Michael Moses was a lot of fun and he has such great energy you can’t help but smile in your pictures!
Then over to Tavern at the Admiral for awesome drinks by Steve, who I can only assume was a Alec Baldwin look alike, was such a treat! He was super knowledgable and made awesome drinks! I can’t wait to head back to this hidden gem on my own! Each drink was made with care and tasted great! But those are the ones that after a few will put you on your tail, because they taste so good but packs a punch!
Such a great night hanging out with some of the «old timers» just catching up and dishing about all the reviews (good and bad) we’ve written over the year! Lol
