DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse

Great selection at this location, although I think every DSW is overly overwhelming. Too much to take in and look through. You will usually find something, even if you aren’t looking.
The staff in this location is great. They greeted us upon arrival and followed up with us after a few minutes to make sure we were finding everything we needed. Which I like because customer service is definitely lacking in most places nowadays. It may be because of the location, either way I like it!
Plenty to chose from, like most shoe warehouses. Take your time. The checkout process was easy. I like the fact that if you forget your coupon they can locate your account and verify if you have any on file, most stores don’t have a system like that. It’s always a good day when you can find cute, comfy shoes in your size and get a discount.
They have other knick knacks, purses, leggings, glasses and other accessories. You can get distracted with all they have to offer. Stay focused!

DSW = drop some wads. I find the store overrated and offering products at a price, well over market value (specifically for women’s shoes). Men’s shoes are actually really reasonable, so I am not sure where the large gap in price differentiation comes from? To each their own though, because the store is always flocking with individuals dropping some wads.

We went here after running some errands, and truth be told I did not even check in! I was so enamored with the HUGE store, well lit and very neat. SO many shoes!!! I was trying things on in no time. The staff was very helpful, but not annoying. A nice lady brought Robin a big shoe bag over since I was told «we are not leaving here with just ONE pair of shoes» I ended up with three, and she ended up with one pair, and they are perfect, and were reasonably priced. No, they do not sell 600 dollar shoes, but they sell higher end shoes, made well… names that are recognized as good quality shoes. Unlike other places that sell discount shoes, these shoes will last, and are SO comfortable. Dress up an outfit quite nicely.

It’s no wonder I never shop at this place. They do have a wide selection for men, women and children, just not my style of shoes. The styles of women’s shoes that they did have I thought were pretty pricey. As a matter of fact I didn’t see anything in there regularly priced less than 59.99. Anyway I had a DSW gift card from Christmas that I needed to use so I figured why not just see what’s in here. Truth be told I didn’t want to spend any of my own money on all white shoes that I was only going to wear to school. And to my surprise I was able to find a pair of white easy spirits for 49.99 (on sale) with another 40% off. Long story short I was able to find exactly what I was looking for and didn’t have to come out of my pocket with much. However, I probably wouldn’t return to shop at DSW. It’s just not my style. The customer service was wonderful but given the location (Canton) I wouldn’t expect anything less. Also note that this location did carry a decent selection of athletic/​workout tennis shoes. But again, given the location and next door to a merit athletic club I wouldn’t expect anything less.

For 90% of the population, DSW has virtually everything you need. For specialty athletic shoes, work boots or designer $ 400 Italian loafers, this place is not for you. for pretty much anything else, they will have what you want. I am a sucker for the clearance racks, I almost always find something I really like.

I love DSW and everything that it stands for, fabulous shoes for awesome prices. Now what I have learned is that the selection of shoes completely depends on the area, I thought that in Canton I would be successful, NOT SO!
I perused the aisle in an effort to find something that brought that spark to my shoe lovers eye, so I can spend my free money (hey they send me awesome coupons DJM) but alas, there was nothing!
I passed my coupon on as I sulked away. Maybe I’ll try again, who knows, I’ve never been unsusccesful in a DSW.
Back to Bethesda or Wheaton I go… siiiiiigh.

If you appreciate shoes, nice shoes, you will enjoy and cherish this DSW. It’s new, clean, and freshly stocked.
They are still smoothing out some of the edges but it is ready to get you outfitted. As a man, I was disappointed that we only get 3 aisles which is about 15% of the store. Not a huge selection for us guys. It seems like a super big store, but as far as shoes go, I’ve seen bigger DSW’s and competitors. Nonetheless, its way better than anything in the immediate vicinity unless you want to go farther out to Arundel Mills or other suburb shopping complexes.
