Benefit Brow Bar at Ulta

I love Crystal! She came from Anastasia brow bar and she does a great job! FYI for the reviews about «Crystal» there are two different Crystals! When the 1^st Crystal left another Crystal replaced her! Those people who had bad experiences with «Crystal» could be referring to the Crystal who is no longer at the Benefit Brow Bar.

I have had my brows done by Crystal 3x now and she has consistently worked with my jacked up brows and given me a great starting point so I can do my magic lol. Crystal puts on under eye cream, puts my brows back on, puts on moisturizer and a quick temple massage this makes me feel like my 20 $ was well spent. I don’t think it’s fair to judge on one visit, so I truly recommend this place.

Never go to Crystal! Jess and I spent months trying to fix what she did. I was in a bind, and had to come in last minute. Crystal was the only one available, so I went back to her. She tried to convince me that my eyebrows were even after she waxed them. I have an important event for work tomorrow, and am crying now. Sent this picture to 4 friends, and all of them could see that my brows are on different levels. Hating myself for going back :(see picture in tips!

Do your self a favor. When you call to make an appointment, make sure you ask for Jess. We’ve been working on growing in my ‘90s brows for a year now. They finaltly look like they’re actual eyebrows. The girl never seems to have an off day. 3 of my girlfriends use her, we couldn’t be happier.

This was the worst experience I’ve had in a while. I don’t normally write reviews but I have to warn everyone not to go to Crystal. She was very nice but did a terrible job on my brows. I had been growing my eyebrows out for a long time trying to achieve a full brow. I went in to get them cleaned up. She over plucked them so badly that they are now pencil thin. It is going to take me months to grow them back and repair the damage that’s been done. I am not an emotional person but I sat in my car and cried afterward because they look so horrible. Do yourself a favor and don’t get your eyebrows done here unless you like them extremely thin and small.

Brows. Too thick. Too thin. Missing. Drawn on. You know you’ve seen it all. I can not stress how important they are to framing your face!
My fellow Unilocalers rated this Brow Bar located in the Ulta Canton, so highly I had to try (8.5÷10 you guys are right). I cheated on my regular threader (gasp). This actually wasn’t my first time visiting. I tried to get them done here before but the other brow specialist wasn’t so friendly and said she was finished for the day.
Much better experience with Crystal. She was very personable and walked me through the process. Basically your face will be mapped to determine areas that need to grow in and areas that will be waxed. Since I’m in the process of growing my brows (read my Thread review and make sure you never go there), I stressed to Crystal that I only wanted them cleaned up. She applied a thick under eye cream first. Then she waxed my brows and proceeded to fill them in.
Now I’m a natural girl, so she sensed my apprehension when I saw that they were drawn darker (with powder) than I liked. She took it off and switched to a softer and lighter mouse. Much better! My shape isn’t perfect because I have areas to grow in. She did a good job however I still love threading. There is something about threading that I just prefer.
This service is pricey at $ 20+ tip but I felt it was worth it due to the level of service and not walking out with red irritated skin.

Was terrified of getting my eyebrows waxed after some bad experiences a few years ago but after reading the reviews here I felt it was worth giving it a try. Jessica was awesome. You can tell she truly cares about her clients– listening to them and making them feel at ease and comfortable. She did an amazing job and knew exactly what to do regarding my face shape and arch. Would recommend her to anyone who is uneasy about giving waxing a try again after some bad experiences.

Crystal is the best eyebrow specialist! She’s so friendly and does an amazing job! Will keep coming back to see her :)!

My roommate and I researched estheticians on a whim one Sunday afternoon to treat ourselves after a tough few weeks. Both of us have extremely full, dark eyebrows. Due to some bad experiences with eyebrow waxing, I hadn’t let anyone touch my brows in years. My roommate had never had anyone do her brows before in her life,
Jessica took great care of us, and did a wonderful job of making us both feel comfortable. She actually LOVES doing brows, and it’s evidenced in her work. I’m almost nervous to try another location while I’m home for the holidays, because I can’t imagine anyone else will do nearly as good a job. Jessica is wonderful. Everyone has reiterated this point, but here I am, 3 weeks later, still thrilled about how good my eyebrows look! Go see her!

I’ve never had my brows waxed before, and this was SUCH a great experience. Jessica was super friendly, took the time to ask a bunch of questions about my skincare routine, and to explain her process for measuring based on my eyes/​bone shape, drawing on the brow shape with makeup, and then waxing around that. She spent a really generous amount of time to shape them and correct it until it was exactly right, and answered all of my questions throughout. I’m really happy with the results and would highly recommend this place to anybody looking for a personalized experience with somebody who really cares about getting the best brows for your face and definitely knows a lot.
You might want to call ahead to make sure there are appointments open!
$ 20 is completely reasonable considering all of the time and care Jessica takes.

Jessica does a great job. She has a certain process where she maps your eyebrows to your face, makes an outline, then waxes the hair outside of that outline. She takes care to ensure our eyebrows fit you! She is also very friendly in addition to providing a great service.

Jessica did an amazing job on my brows. Mine are usually different shaped unruly bastards and she got everything in line. I totally agree with all of the other reviewers. You may think $ 20 is a lot but seriously though how much are great brows really worth?!

Got my eyebrows done by Jessica today. She is amazing and pleasant! I told her I didn’t want them too thin but still wanted them to have an arch. She did just that and even paid special attention to plucking the strays that were left after the eyebrow wax. It is clear she values her work and wants to make people look their best! I used to get my eyebrows threaded and thought it was the only way to get great looking eyebrows. Jessica proved me wrong! My brows have never looked so good. She even gave me tips on where to grow out my bald spots on one eyebrow, and paid special attention to avoid the little hairs that were growing in. As soon as I need a touch up I’ll definitely be going to her again! There is an option of tipping in cash or tipping discreetly at the counter by cash or card.

Jessica at the Benefit Brow Bar is absolutely amazing! She is so knowledgeable on waxing and skin care products. She did a fantastic job marking my brows and telling me where I needed to let them grow in. I also have thick, coarse brows and wanted someone who could really get them under control– and she did the job! I took all her advice and I cannot wait to return in 2 weeks! Highly recommend her if you want amazing brows for YOUR face and not what nail techs do!

The Benefit Brow Bar at Ulta definitely gets an A+. My eyebrows needed some serious attention and, since I had to stop in Ulta (well, I didn’t have to, but that’s not the point) I figured I would give the Brow Bar a shot!
The set up is very pink, very bright, and modern! There are a few chairs to sit while you wait. You can call before to make an appointment, but there was only one person before me, so I didn’t have to wait. I was initially a little put off by the price at 20 dollars for an eyebrow wax, but it’s worth it.
Jessica was very friendly and professional! First, she asked about my skin care routine to make sure waxing was okay. Then she filled in my brows and marked the spots on my face where my brows should arch. After that she waxed my brows and that was pretty much that! She showed me where to tweeze in between waxes, which was very helpful.
You pay for the services at the register and can tip in cash or by credit card. I’ll definitely return!
