Outstanding! I’ve eaten here a dozen times and the sandwiches are truly in their own league. Very few places can match the simple yet creative quality of their food. Best sandwiches in Baltimore. This place needs to thrive.

This is a cool place that serves charcuterie and mixed drinks. I already ate another food kiosk in the Mt. Vernon Marketplace, but I will have to try this place for the food. I tried their mixed drinks menu and it was definitely superb. I am a gin mixed drink afficionado and Ryan made a great gin mixed drink. It’s a super chill atmosphere and the neighborhood where this marketplace is located is like DC’s Mt. Pleasant.

My first visit to Cultured, and it seemed rather promising at first glance with a very interesting and varied menu of food choices. But then it started. I ordered a salad, but wanted the dressing on the side. «Oh I’m sorry» replied the hipster bartender. «Our chef won’t do any substitutions or modifications to his creations». I just about choked on my own spit. «But, I just want the dressing on the side, not on it. I’ll put it on myself». «Sorry, I can’t do that». So we walked away never to return. So we went over to Brown Rice and had a delightful Korean kale salad. It was amazing. They seemed to have no problem with placing the amazing house-made mayo-chipotle dressing on the side. Oh, not only that, they grilled Salmon cubes and placed them on top! Yummy!!! Shame on you, Cultured.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Had the sandwich of the day which was a ham with chddar, avacado and hummus. Outstanding! Very fresh and good. The staff was friendly. Will definitely return. Thanks!

This review is long overdue since this has been my new go-to place to grab drinks and food. Cultured has a great happy hour — $ 1 off cocktails, $ 1 off draft beers, $ 10 chef’s choice board of meats and cheese, etc. Arrive early because there is very limited seating at the small bar. There’s other seating around the marketplace, but the bar area is really cute and makes you feel like you’re sitting in someone’s backyard during the summer. All of the cocktails that I’ve had have been great, but my favorites have been The Muddled they Come and the Bourbon Mule. The bartenders really take their time making each drink perfect. As for food, the Ashed Beet Salad was really good — it had golden beets, walnuts, goat cheese, arugula and shallot confit. If you like gouda try the Smoka Da Cheese sandwich. It’s like an adult grilled cheese with maple butter, gouda, cheddar, and speck. And you can’t come here without trying the charcuterie. You really can’t go wrong with anything. You can do pick 1, 3, 6, or 10 of cheese and meats. Each board is served with house-made accoutrements and a basket of bread(toasted and non-toasted). The accoutrements are really good — I’ve had a variety of curried, pickled, and fresh items. It can get pricy if you order a lot, but there have been gift certificates on , so be sure to check there first.

We live in Hampden and we were fans of the chef from the Charcuterie. We realized something was missing recently from there only to find out about Cultured so tonight we went there only to find our old menu that we loved from Charcuterie. I had the Blooming Mousse sandwich was amazing and he drinks are just as good! We will be going back to this place again.

So lucky to have this in the neighborhood. From the staff to the cocktails and of course the menu selections, everything is over the top. Don’t see a cocktail you prefer, the bartenders will make one based on your taste. Fast becoming my go to for visitors and of course for a quick bite when I do not feel like cooking.

I had the Tail of 2 pigs sandwich. It was delicious, but rather unweildy and clumily put together. The cheese was not in thin slices, but in chunks, leaving me with mouthfuls that were mostly cheese. The speck was the consistency of hard jerky, so it was not a graceful process trying to take a bite of that on a double decker sandwich. There were also thick hunks of tomato slices that I wished were also more finely cut. Overall. the flavors on the cheese and charcuterie were amazing, but the knife-work and construction on the sandwich could be slightly refined. The staff was friendly and the sandwich was crafted quickly. I appreciated how comfortable the chairs were, and enjoyed looking at the décor of the bar as I ate.

So normally I see the word«charcuterie» and I just keep walking… what could they possibly offer to a vegetarian like me? For some reason I looked at the menu here and saw a few options. The usual caprese sandwich and then a sandwich with mushrooms, truffle cheese and maple butter. It took some time to be prepared but it was worth it! Beautiful presentation and a seriously delicious sandwich. One of those times where I truly feel like I am not missing out on deliciousness by avoiding meat. I’ll be back to try out the rest, or maybe just order the same sandwich again.

This place is amazing. The charcuterie plates are out of this world. I’ve never seen huge serving sizes like this before(for the meats, the cheeses were average portioned). What really sets this place apart are all of the accoutrements that they select just for your plate. Their Dijon mustard is out of this world for true spicy mustard fans — definitely worth asking for if it doesn’t come on your plate. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

Good charcuterie in Mt Vernon marketplace. Reasonable priced happy hour, with $ 6 tapas and a $ 10 whiskey flight. The tapas I had was a the chicken liver pâté over a crostini with a fig spread, pretty good. The charcuterie was good with quality meats, but the star of the show was the SPECK! I’d give 4 stars for that alone. The mixed olives were tasty and paired well with everything. The cheeses were ok. Portions are decent size. Relaxed open air market atmosphere with friendly staff.

Hands down the best thing in Mt. Vernon Marketplace! This was the most delicious and artfully displayed charcuterie board I’ve ever had. The female bartender was super knowledgeable, and I trusted her to choose our entire 3 meat/cheese board when she started waxing poetic on the quality of the prosciutto. She absolutely hit the nail on the head! The chef even walked our board all the way over to where we were sitting and described EVERYTHING. Our favorites were the tri-milk soft cheese, the fig compote, and that bangin’ prosciutto which was the best I’ve ever tasted. EVER. We’ll definitely be back when we’re craving meats and cheeses, and their cocktails looked equally as good!

Ordered a hurricane. Paid for a hurricane. Waited 35 minutes. Did not receive a hurricane. I know this was an extremely busy night, but you gotta try harder.

Atmosphere and staff are energizing and welcoming. Amazing charcuterie, sandwiches are amazing. My finance and I had the jerk pork wrap and smoking fin sandwich. Strong and balanced flavors, well thought out. Would highly recommend!

Best cheese and charcuterie plate in Baltimore, no joke. ‘Plate’ isn’t even an accurate description, as a square foot of cured meat, cheese, chutneys, and pickled goods was set before us to feast(see the photographs featured above!) Three of us were able to share a the six-item selection, and I think what sets Cultured apart is the true attention to detail in coupling flavors to what the customer has chosen to feature on their plate. Roasted tomatoes, roasted mushrooms, both sweet and savory chutneys or sauces to spread with toasted and fresh baguette, mixed olives, pickles, pickled everything it seems, dried cranberries and apricots… I could go on, but I can’t quite remember it all. There were accompaniments to compliment each item. The small bar area features a handful of very local Baltimore beers and a small selection of wines, although many around us seemed to be enjoying the cocktails offered too. Seriously a welcome addition to this neck of the woods and perfectly placed in the newly-opened Mt. Vernon Marketplace.

Great service, happy hour every Sunday! Worth having a look. I went with the house red, only $ 5 during happy hour. Excellent blend!
(10/31/2015) Stopped in for a nosh and a glass of wine, Cultured hit the spot, really great place. Apparently, it’s run by a guy who used to be at the Other Corner Charcuterie Bar. We got the happy hour special, 2 meats(chorizo, sopressata) and a cheese(Parrano) with accompaniments(apple butter, Dijon mustard, half-sour slices, jalapeño pickled pineapple, pickled shredded carrots. Finally, a place that will serve you sufficient crostini/bread without having to ask over and over again for more. Chicken Liver Mousse was smooth and creamy, divine. Loved the cornichons, black currant compote, curry pickled onions and carmelized shallots. They know their meats and cheeses and how to highlight them with tart, sweet, sour, spicy. Def a hit.
