Although if U call them the customer service may be shitty on the phone they pride themselves on beating competition with prices and quality. I got a dozen small crabs for only $ 16 and they were really nice and friendly in the store. They also don’t have you wait long and provide additional seasoning and eating paper free of charge.

Went to visit Loyola MD on a college tour. Past through Monroe Street and saw a few crab spots but chose this one as it looked like a dive but as most folks know you find quality in those places. Food was cooked once ordered. ½ bushel of female crabs for $ 45 was the special. Not a bad deal! Food was good but the old bay was put on extra thick so it was a extra salty ordeal. Next time I would ask to be light on the old bay! All in all we would go back!.

After the main owner read of my problem with my last visit he was extremely apologetic and indicated he doesn’t do business that way. He sent me a message to contact him which I did. He not only again apologized for what happened but he gave me 3 large dozen of female crabs, very heavy, seasoned just right and tasty. They were excellent. He renewed my faith in Best Crabs. Absolutely delicious. I will now go back to Best Crabs because I see the owners truly care about their customers and the person who I talked to originally was apparently not the owner and was out of line. Thank you for renewing my faith in you guys. I appreciate you reaching out to me. I will definitely return.

One of the best crab spots on Monroe Street. Best Crabs always boasts some sort of special. Be it a half of bushel or a 2 for deal. They also sell other seafood. From oysters to shrimp. From lobsters to King Crab. Additional, it became one stop shopping. They now sell beer! Now the cons. I will say that often the older african american gentleman seems to have an attitude for no apparent problem. Also their policy of not purchasing anything after you pay for your crabs is a bit much. If I’m purchasing from you establisment isn’t it a win for us all? You get additional cash. I get additional items. At any rate, I’d patronize again.

Crabs are pricey. They just are. But 2 dozen jumbo mixed male and female, and mallets, and ½ dozen ears of old bay dusted corn, for less than 100 bucks is a-ok for a once or twice a year feast… three people, 33 bucks a piece, total crab heaven? worth it. They give you butter packs and old bay and salt and pepper. The corn was local and great– the crabs meaty and sweet. Bonus– my man is allergic to crabs(SOO sad…) but there is a Hip Hop Fish and Chicken across the street for his plate, and they have Giffords Ice cream… and greens, and mac and cheese… just go.

At first glacé you may think, to pass #BestCrabs because of the fancier places on Monroe St. but my friend that would be your first mistake. My favorite are the 2 [dozen] for $ 55 females. Succulent with the faintest touch of sweet. #BedtCrabs also steams/fries whatever your seafood heart desires… ps try the cheesecake :) Psss… for the adventurer in you… try the muskrat or racoon…

Best crabs really do carry the best crabs. Be prepared to wait 10 – 15 minutes for your order as they prepare each order after they are placed. Call ahead for faster service. Real butter for dipping is only $ 1 extra.
