Baltimore Parasail

My review will be the third review, and I saw the first two reviews on this page and thought it was time i wrote my own review. To clarify, i am not writing this to argue with what the other two previous reviewers experienced. This is just to give some perspective from MY experience.
I myself, bought the Living Social deal for this place as well. However, I ended up going on June 24, 2012. A MONTH before the first reviewer. Here is my experience…
When i saw the deal on Living Social, I had to call and ask questions. Each time i called, i was either able to get a hold of someone and ask all the questions i needed to ask, or was able to leave a voicemail which they returned. On the day of our appointment, we were not sure of the exact location, so we had to call again. Again, no issues. I am not sure how many people are involved in this business/​operation, but from what i saw, it seemed there were three people. One guy mainly dealing with the phone calls, two guys with the boat and parasailing. All three people showed professionalism and experience with what they were doing. This was me and my wife’s first time, were parasailing virgins. They were very gentle and careful popping that cherry (That’s us in the picture posted with the two of up ON TOP OF THE WOOOOORLD). We went up and came back down nice and dry. We were up there for about 8 – 10 minutes and the view was spectacular! It was like floating up in the air. Watch out for the waves created from other boats passing by, gets a little bumpy up there, but nothing to worry about. We also upgraded Living Social deal from 500ft to 800ft for i think another $ 20. Contrary to what we thought, the 800ft doesn’t actually mean you are 800ft up in the air, it means 800ft of rope being let out, soooo… wasn’t as high as i thought we were gonna be, but still pretty high up there.

Me and my wife enjoyed it. Great first experience. Would go definitely go back and do it again. Even bought the Living Social deal as a gift for friends. If something did happen to them, that’s a shame.

Like the person above, I also purchased a livingsocial deal for this place. I; however, actually managed to book an appointment in May. I booked the appointment for this past weekend in August. My boyfriend and I were running a bit late for our appointment, so I tried to call them and experienced a similar situation to the previous poster in that the phone went straight to voicemail and the box was full. When we got to the marina, we were informed by a harbor staff member that Baltimore Parasail has not been seen or heard from in about a month and a half. He said many people have come by with appointments. He said they had some issues with their parachutes and that they were supposedly fixing them, but nobody had seen them since June. If you have a living social deal, I’d suggest you request a refund as well. And if you were looking to buy from them on their website, DON’T! I doubt you’d get your money back.
UPDATE:
I managed to find a parasailing company not too far from Baltimore and went parasailing this past Saturday using my refunded money from Living Social. It’s called Old Town Parasail in Havre de Grace. I highly recommend it! They’ve been around for many years and are reasonably priced.

I bought a Living Social deal for this place, I called them 6 times to book an appointment, and the call either went to voice mail, which they did not answer, or it said their voice mail was full. They do not respond to emails either. I’m curious to find out if anyone else was able to get through… I had to request a refund from Living Social– very disappointing.
