American Wings & Pizza

I ordered via the OrderUp at 12:30 pm. Unfortunately, the order never arrived. I called the establishment 4 times to ask about the order. No one cared to resolve the issue. I was called 3 hours later stating that the order was ready. I requested a refund for my $ 40+ order and was told that I cannot get one. Order at your own risk.

Ordered large veggie specialty pizza with no cheese via food ordering app and they got it right! Crust is fluffy and delicious, pizza toppings were generous. Delivery took less than 20 mins. Will order from them again!

If you’re thinking about ordering from here, please reconsider. I placed a delivery order through an app. I waited for over an hour, then called to check on my order. Was told it would be «there shortly.» 20 more minutes passed so I called again to ask, «it’s been an hour and a half, where is my food?» Guy’s explanation was, «we have to make the rice fresh so it takes a little while.» And I say, «well rice doesn’t take an hour an a half, I can have rice made in 20 minutes!» So his genius response is, «well, next time don’t order something with rice.» Yes, you read that right – he blamed the delay on me for what I ordered! From the menu!!! Utter absurdity. Not only incredibly slow, but horrible customer service.
As I type this, it has been an hour and 45 minutes, yet I still have not received my food. It’s almost too comical to be upset. Needless to say, I will never, ever even consider giving them my business again. Neither should you. With all of the quality restaurants in Baltimore that struggle to stay afloat, it is a travesty that this joke of an establishment is still in existence.

I have ordered from here a lot!
My experience have been sometimes great and sometimes absolutely horrible! The place is not very consistent, menu prices do not always match correct prices in store, coupons are not always honored and the delivery time can be extremely long sometimes.
I have had a lot of their food so I’ll break down a few of the best and worst dishes I have had!
1. WINGS– I have had the honey bbq, buffalo, old bay and lemon pepper wings. All of which I truly enjoyed the wings are large and juicy, always cooked to perfection and they are smothered in sauce that is extremely flavorful! Honestly my favorite flavor has to be the honey bbq! My boyfriend makes fun of me because I will like all the bbq off my wings and redic them because they are delicious!
2. Cheesesteak subs– I normally order the cheesesteak with provolone cheese with mushrooms and onions! I have never had an issue with these subs either! However I have had issues with the sub wing combo deals and the price that differs on the menus.
3. Pizza— I’m just gonna say there are a lot of other places to order delicious pizza from and I would def choose one of the other places for pizza. I like crusty pizza that is soft. Theirs is more of a thin and crispy pizza and the specialty pizzas, such as the buffalo chicken pizza just are lacking!
4. Hamburgers– they are tasty as well tastes like real ground beef, no filler, large burgers cooked medium and they have some awesome specialty burgers like the black and blue burger that I enjoy!
All in all I will continue to order from them but I do always order knowing the lack of consistency.

I never leave negative reviews. This isn’t about the food, that was blah, average, but the delivery person. When you give someone a $ 10 tip on an $ 18 delivery order, a thank you is in order. The delivery driver was so ungrateful, rude. It makes me not want to tip delivery drivers.

Hands down the worst delivery food we have ever ordered in our opinion. We think the crab cakes were literally rotten, I mean I was afraid of food poisoning spoiled, the food was cold, the Stromboli was so greasy it soaked through the wax paper and box, absolutely everything we ordered was so bad in our opinion we refused to eat anything.

Delicious wings! Their Honey BBQ is amazing. Seems like they’ve improved with delivery time– I haven’t had any problems!

Terrible delivery service. Ordered at 10:30pm and didn’t get it til 1:30am when I was already sleeping. When it was finally delivered it was cold. Even warmed up it was mediocre at best. Never order or go here ever. It’s terrible.

And they’re lucky I’m giving them anything. First of all after reading the reviews and seeing everything about the delivery I decided to just give them a shot because half the time people who write reviews just like to complain. BUT it literally took them an hour and 15 minutes to deliver my food. Which is ridiculous. Second, I live in an old silo building which is completely concrete. Obviously I have terrible phone service. Anyway, when we get orders, they have to go to the front desk and then the front desk is supposed to call me so I can approve them to come up to my unit.
Well… The girl in the lobby calls me and tells me that the delivery guys said I didn’t put a unit number on the order which I knew I did. So he comes up to my unit, I open the door with a FRIENDLY greeting. This was the conversation:
Me: HI!
Him: (giving extremely dirty look) why didn’t you answer your phone? I called twice.
Me: I didn’t receive any calls, I don’t get very good service.
Him: (continuing attitude) what service?
Me: uh phone service
Him: basically throws the food at me. Well I called twice you should have answered the phone.
Nope he did not get a tip at all. I have worked in the food industry, I know what it’s like and I would not give this place a second chance. On top of his rudeness, they screwed up my order. How do you screw something up when it’s written down exactly what I want, right in front of you.
The food was SO COLD by the time I got it. Just unacceptable. I don’t recommend this place at all. Don’t waste your money or time.

Ordered over the phone from a hotel nearby. Pizza came in the 35 promised minutes and was quite good (especially for 12am pizza). Great cheese, okay sauce and decent crust. Soda was cold and not shaken. Driver was brief, but polite. B+ Would order again.

Horrible! I ordered my food at 10:40. About an hour later I kept calling and they always said «He’s on the way, he’s on the way.» One of the times I called he ignored me, then when I called right back he picked up (rudely) saying «he’s on the way» once again, and hung up. When he finally did get there one he left he texted my phone saying he had seen me before. Unprofessional and ass backwards is what they are.

For a takeout join this place kicks ass; you’ll want to take out because delivery is slow, though. Amount of homeless usually staking out the joint is kinda worth it.
I’m a big fan of mushroom pizza and the mushrooms are huge! After moving to Baltimore I discovered that everyone breads their hot wings, which is downright strange for me, but they were willing to take a special order. Love it.

The delivery time was in the tolerance time frame, but I just don’t need to hear the complains from the delivery guy saying how difficult to find a parking in front of my place. The pizza was so so. The soft drink is over charged.

Very Poor Delivery service – I live 14 city blocks from them and it took 90 plus minutes to deliver a cold, dried out pizza with very hard crust and tough dough.
The wings were room temp and the crust had got hard on the Southern style.
Maybe good for a walk-​in but never again for delivery !!!

Ordered a pizza around 6:15. At 8:05, after my boyfriend and I had already sat down to have something else in the house, it shows up.
I called them twice in an hour, 7:15 and then again at 7:45, both times the guy on the phone said «it’s on its way» and practically hung up on me. I called again a few minutes later after talking with my boyfriend and cancelled the order, just for him to FINALLY show up minutes later.
The pizza was cold, first off — second, all of the toppings, including the cheese looked burnt, not black but a very deep brown. Third, the dough was TOUGH, I mean shoe leather tough. We threw it in the trash immediately and sat down to leftovers instead.
I would never order from this place again — in fact, even though I rarely ever do this, I would steer friends AWAY from here. There are better places to get food delivered in a more timely, professional and edible manner.

I asked for extra tomato sauce and received a pizza with close to none at all. Also order chocolate cake, got cheesecake.
I can’t help but feel like this was done on purpose. Is this some kind of joke?!
Ordinarily they have decent pizza, better than most small shops. But they failed big time tonight.

Delivery time is slow but if you pick up they have affordable cheese steaks and and good food. It’s good for someone who lives nearby.

This was my first order from
after having moved to the baltimore area and this place was THE WORST delivery order I have ever made online.
They were a total of 2 HOURS late !!! When
attempted to call the restaurant on my behalf, they flat out lied and stated that it was just 5 minutes away when, in fact, there was another 1 HOUR left of waiting in my 2 HOUR TOTAL wait.
Food was marginal to awful at BEST.
I will NEVER order from this place again and… when I mentioned it to another friend of mine, they said they had the same disastrous result from an order from them.

I need to go grocery shopping. Until then — pizza delivery for dinner!
American Wings & Pizza is the closest delivery place to our house in Bolton Hill, and it’s beautiful because you never have to even pick up the phone to order. (Also dangerous, because the online form saves all our credit card and delivery information — making it that much more easy to order pizza any time you want.)
I actually thought for cheap pizza it was pretty pricey — a large was 17 dollars. But we did order a special «Island» pizza with tropical topics and ham. It was pretty good. Really greasy, but at some point pizza is pizza.
It was delivered fast and tip was included in the online order. That much easier! Not the best food, but will definitely be ordering it again.
