Too many other buffets to choose from to actually want to go here again.

This is at best 3 stars. They took over the old Longhorn Steakhouse and made an enormous buffet. The selections are huge plus a cook station for those who want the grill. It was clean when I was there the steam tables were pouring out steam but the food was tepid at best. This is I guess a «fusion» buffet. It was some Chinese, some seafood, some American, some salads, some desserts. They fail on the egg rolls as they seem to be not homemade. I sampled some fried shrimp(there are at least 4 shrimp choices), Mongolian Beef, Broccoli Chicken, Chicken Wings, and steak. The Mongolian beef was the best loaded with onions which I liked. Chinese in St. Louis is very good ie Happy China with all the different sauces they use. This one has no homemade sauces There are few choice in my area for Chinese buffets. There is one that is opening closer to the house so I will field test it.

HORRIBLE!!! Just ate there with a friend. Food was terrible. It was bad enough that my friend had to keep spitting out pieces of meat that couldn’t be chewed. First time I have ever left a buffet hungry. The only thing I had that was good was the Blue Bunny strawberry ice cream.

Bleh! Never again! Place was clean for a buffet, and service was adequate, but the food… ugh. Shrimp stuffed with gray mystery meat, factory manufactured egg rolls, unseasoned cold mussels, «skallops» instead of the real thing, NY strip pieces that were unseasoned and cut with the grain so it was not chewable, oily lo mein, boring salad bar and dessert offerings(generic pre-packed ice cream in styrofoam cups?), questionable food temps, etc. No! Bad, bad, bad!

This place has gone from a really good buffet to absolutely horrible. The crab legs came out to the buffet cold and with a very bland taste. There were many food items that were cold and had been left out too long. A year ago, they used to keep all the items hot and fresh. What once was a good place has turned into a place that we will never go back to. I strongly recommend the frozen Chinese section in the grocery store over this place.

This was one of the worst buffet I ever experienced. My mom and I went during lunch hours on a Saturday and we both said we where never coming back. The food was cold and the taste of the food was bland. Some of my chicken was raw and under cooked. We never experienced something like this at a buffet we tried several things and nothing was satisfying but the ice cream. We was still hungry after we left and it seem like we paid 15 dollars for ice cream.

I was actually very surprised to how authentic this place was, yes they had the traditional Chinese buffet fare however this place has much more authentic foods. I noticed fried calamari, baby octopus, in addition to all the regulars. While I didn’t sway much from the traditional foods I really did enjoy my meal.

I hesitated to accept my friend’s invitation to dine here because of the negative reviews here. Now, I’m puzzled if I went to the same place everyone here have gone. Royal Buffet(next to the Post Office on Ballwin, Manchester Road) is as typical of the Chinese Buffet one would find in St Louis. But for $ 10.25 for Dinner(Mon — Fri), their offering is very good. C’mon, where else in West County can you find a buffet that has a good sushi selection, mongolian bbq pit, crab legs, fried calamari, steak strips, salmon(which was surprisingly tasty), flounder, roast duck, coconut shrimp, salt and pepper prawns, good(eyes-wide-open) cheesecake, scoop-your-own ice cream, and a full array of tasty standard fare for ten dollars and some change! Let me clarify that we went there for dinner on a Thursday night. So, I cannot vouch for their lunch offering at $ 6.39 — which is a steal! The only reason I couldn’t give them 5 stars is because they didn’t have anything a seasoned Asian Foodie like me, to be astounded with. Other than that, let’s say, I wouldn’t mind coming back.

EWIE! This place is sooo gross! Im sorry not trying to be rude, but I mean for 11.00 i could have gotten something alot better. The Msg, gmos and high fructose was flowing in everything. They had Alot of options but they all looked dried out or way to runny, I assure you this place will not last. The management is rude and not put together. Bad food, Bad service.

HMM… well was very excited when they first opened in the same plaza as my gym. After a good workout, you can drive by and smell everything you’ve given up. I got the menu one night just to check the prices and it was pretty reasonable. $ 11.00 for a buffet that includes the normal Chinese food, a hibatchi grill, sushi, ice-cream and CRABLEGS! We decided to try this out so planned a week in advance. Affordable? Absolutely, especially seeing that a lot of people there were just eating AUCE Crab legs. Tasty? not so much! Lacking in food temperature and flavor. I was disappointed and wish I had saved up my calories for a nice big piece of Pizza Pie!

Just had dinner here. My husband and I liked it. It had a LOT of choices and variety. The place was bright and busy. The food was pretty typical Chinese buffet fare. It met but didn’t exceed my expectations in any way. We like Chinese buffet food and the location is great for us so we will be back.

The two of us arrived at the restaurant. We waited to be seated. We picked our selections to eat from the buffet, and sat down back at the table. We started to eat and EVERYTHING on our plates was either lukewarm or cold. Even the hot tea was lukewarm. We had several items picked out from each different buffet station and NONE were piping hot. We asked to speak to the manager. He pointed out to us that they were«working» on this problem. He told us to stir up the food from the pan before putting it on the plate, but we had done this already. We decided that there was no option but to leave, because we were turned off by the idea of food served at substandard temperatures. The health department should have been notified. The manager was not too friendly and told us that we would still have to pay for our food and drinks. We did, but we will NEVER return there again, and we would not recommend this place. We spent a total of 14 minutes there and were still charged for the food and two drinks.
