Claymont Wine & Spirits

Have been going here since I turned 21. Great selection at great prices and always friendly. Recommend to anyone looking for spirits, beer, or wine!

I love this place! I contacted them to purchase wine for a wedding and they were spot on in their recommendations. I appreciated giving me a discount for purchasing by the case. I wish I lived in Missouri and this would be my ‘go to’ place!

This place is set high up in a plaza, and when we pulled up, it looked closed, so make sure you get outta your car and open the door to see if they are open.
Once inside, you’ll find a wide array of wines and spirits, but James has been wanting me to experience the taste of a deli sandwich from here for a while now, so today was the day. Their breads are so fresh, they just melt in your mouth, along with the goodies on the inside of our sandwiches, which included pastrami and swiss cheese on soft marbel rye bread AND smoked turkey and mozarella cheese on my croissant. Of course, I wanted to taste both, so when James asked me if I wanted a bite, I said yessss, and just decided to keep one half of his sandwich as I gave him one half of my sandwich.
There’s a couple of tables and chairs if you want to eat outside, so we briefly enjoyed this experience, but it was a bit chilly so we grabbed our food and finished them off in the car, since there’s no inside dining.
And the rest is history! But I know I will be back!

What more do you want? Claymont not only sells beer, wine, and spirits, but also sodas, snacks, and deli sandwiches. They staff is friendly and always happy to help make a selection. What they lack in size and selection is more than made up by know-​how and warmth.
The selection is well curated and fits well into Claymont Wine and Sporits, which is a great neighborhood deli and wine shop!
