I love my beloved Aldi. It’s the brother of Trader Joe’s which is my other love… but I’m not a cheater. I frequent them both for different items that’s all. Aldi was once upon a time frowned on by people who thought it was a generic grocer for underprivilaged people unable to afford large chain grocers. Well, listen and learn; Aldi is the best kept secret and I go there for all my fresh quality produce, the cheapest eggs in town, awesome household finds, delicious hummus, afforable salsas, teas, oatmeal, granola, nuts, seasonings, fresh flowers and so so much more. So pretentious shoppers continue to skimp on Aldi… I’ll be laughing all the way to the check-out counter with my bag of .44 cent per pound chiquita bananas in hand.

This is a clean, well stocked Aldi’s. We are regular shoppers at Aldi’s and have been to many stores across the country and found this one up to the standards set by our old store. I have not yet needed to significantly interact with the staff so I cannot comment on their helpfulness but they have generally be rather friendly. If you are not familiar with Aldi’s, it is a discount grocery store that specializes in private label staples. Be prepared by bringing a quarter for your cart, bags or boxes for your groceries, and to do the bagging yourself — all cost saving measures. Also they take cash, and debit cards, so do not plan on using a credit card. We get our boxed and dry goods at Aldi’s like we are going on the Oregon Trail.

Aldi has really improved over the years. When I was in college, it was a «last resort» place to shop, because the food was sub-par. But Aldi has improved it’s food, and over the last few years has become my main grocery store. They have fresh produce and meat. You still have to watch the expiration dates on everything, but then I’ve been getting into the habit at all stores and have noticed that all stores push products to the dates.
