OK. Here we go. We were lead to the Indian Restaurant across the road because it got awesome Unilocal reviews. The said restaurant was«closed due to construction» or some crap. This was on a Saturday night March 12, 2016 . Woe is me; I detest going out to eat on Long Island on Saturdays. I avoid the crowds at all costs. I hate the noise, the teenagers, the texting, the selfies, etc. I hate waiting for tables and being elbow-to-elbow with other people wherein they can hear your entire conversation. Maybe YOU do too? So anyway– we were so friggin hungry we(I was with a small group) looked across the street at this; GINO’S PIZZA. Heard of it– never had it. We were hungry enough to eat a fire hydrant by that point. We ventured across the street to the Gino’s /Stop n’ Shop parking lot where we were nearly run over 2 or 3 times by local lunatics in 1990s beaten up Dodge Caravans. I dunno– maybe they were all due in surgery or late for a meeting at the United Nations? Maybe they were going to a prayer meeting at a local church? Who the f*** knows.(«Yambags» as my friend Beth L. calls them) We enter Gino’s. It’s fairly full(not quite«packed») and the staff(3 young guys behind counter — 2 young ladies waitressing — dressed in black) ignore us completely . We waited for a few minutes and nothing. We were standing right in their path too! No adults around. No manager. Nothing. Phone was ringing off the hook with«take out & delivery» orders probably. ************************************************ 1) All it would have taken for us to stay and feel welcome — would have been: «Hi Guys. Have a seat in the dining area. It’s a little crazy. We will be with you in a few minutes if that’s ok?» ****************************************************************** But… Nothing. We stormed out in a huff(which is something I never do– at all!) — — — — — — — — - 2) Dear Ginos Manager /owner; when you do the staff hiring I sure hope you tell your future employees: «You know– it does get crazy busy in here Friday & Saturday nights. So please be aware you have to handle all sorts of stuff all at once & greet new customers AND deal with people on the phone AND people who are already eating. Do you think you can handle that? Because if NOT — I don’t think this will work out AND I will carefully look for someone else to properly handle emergencies in my place of business that I rely on to make money». _______________________________ Now I was a «cranky Frankie» that night because I had NOLUNCH before dinner — but we were treated like the Invisible Men at Ginos. That sucks. NO? Never going back here and never going to try the Huntington location. Why? Because Long Island is so infected with pizza that even if someone looks at you crooked & makes you feel unwanted… let ‘em rot. Too many other pizza options.(and that includes 7 – 11 pizza — you Yambags) A gracious F.U. Ginos. P. S. Ginos actually saved us some trouble; As we left the place, about 2 dozen teenaged girls with gifts(obviously a birthday party) & lots of sass & screaming & iPhones were entering to eat & party & text & selfie themselves to death ! Thank GOD we left!!! Went to Stop & Shop next door. Got a Stauffers frozen thingie, some chips & dip, ice cream & knishes, avacados, and had a GREAT dinner at home.

The food is great!!! but the delivery service not so good. Every time I call it takes over 60 minutes for delivery and I live Rite up the block… if there was improvement with that accommodation Gino’s would be in first place.

I love love love Gino’s Baldwin Harbor! Moved from Queens about 5 years ago to Baldwin Harbor and was worried we wouldn’t have a decent place for pizza. Thank goodness for Gino’s. My family and I basically live off of Gino’s food! Eat in or delivery both are the best! I have to agree, this is definitely the best pizza in Baldwin.

Service is horrible! Girl on the phone was very rude n short so went to pick up the pizza/salad n watched the pizza guy wipe his nose n continue to make pizza using the same hand!!! As his sweat was dripping on the pizza/food!!! Grossed out I asked for my refund and didn’t even get an apology!!! Very arrogant managers/owner!!! I rather eat Burger King!!!

ABSOLUTELYHORRIBLE! Black people steer clear! This place is full of racists Italians! Our waitress didn’t even speak to us. She dropped menus down, then prepared to walk away. When we advised her that we already ordered she took them back and we informed her of our drinks. We sat patiently waiting eventually she came back and dropped our drinks and left. NO pizza ever came, eventually we caught one of the guys from the back and he gave us our pizza. Randomly another lady came and dropped bread at our table and walked away. After we were finished eating, the waitress finally comes and says she will get our checks. SHENEVERDID!.. For you who responded, shows me that your establishment is racist! EVERYTHING that I wrote was the truth! Nothing about the truth is malicious. That place should be closed down. Period,. Felt like I walked into 1955.

Best pizza in Baldwin. Love their salads and their brick oven pizza as well. The staff is helpful and the restaurant is good for take out and eating in.

Great food. Pasta is delicious. Like most pizzerias it’s better to call ahead and pick up your order. If you ask them for delivery your pizza will not be hot by the time you get it. If you place the order in person, you could wait for about 40 minutes for your pie depending on how busy it is.

My aunt and I sat in one of the booths in the back. We let the server know that we were waiting for someone else. She took our drink orders(Coke for my aunt, Dr. Pepper for myself) and we let her know that our friend Lisa would want coffee. She brought over our drinks. I realized that my Dr. Pepper tasted like cherry medicine. As soon as we could grab her, she exchanged my soda for a Coke, and we asked for a basket of bread. She said it was heating up in the oven. When she brought out the bread, it was delicious and warm. At this time, Lisa had arrived and our server immediately brought out a cup of coffee for her. My aunt got the soup and salad lunch special. Tortellini and a house salad. She ate it all up, including dipping the bread into the soup! I got the Caprese salad. It was tomato, mozzarella, basil, and roasted red peppers on a huge bed of romaine lettuce with a side of balsamic dressing. The dressing is amazing!!! Lisa got the grilled veggie wrap and ate it all up too! Our server was great. She checked in on us and got us several refills. The restaurant was super quiet when we were there so it was nice and relaxing.

Ginos pizza always has way too much oregano, it might just be their sauce but their regular pizza is not good. Specialty pies are okay. Rolls are good. The kitchen food is pretty good though, hidden gem here if you like chicken fingers they make amazing chicken fingers. I ordered a salad with fresh mozzarella there was 5 chunks of what looked and smelt like provolone, weird. The staff is also not that friendly.

Living locally, I’d stop in for different varieties of slices with my kids. I had always been pleased with their selection and overall tastes. Their sauces on their slices have always been good. And a restaurant’s sauce is usually how I initially judge. With that said, and having already tried various sauces on their pizza, I decided to try one of their pastas. I thought it be fair to assume that I’ve liked their flavors so far, and everything had always been fresh, so of course their pasta, especially a staple pasta dish that most Italian cooks could whip up blindfolded like a tortellini carbonara, right? Yea, not so much. I’m so baffled, I don’t know where to begin. For starters, the pasta tasted as if they ran out of pasta, ran into Waldbaums and bought store brand from the frozen on sale section. Then the sauce, aye aye aye. Smh. The only way to describe this tasteless«sauce» is a white soupy concoction with chopped raw onion, about 10 bacon bits and can’t even taste any sort of cheese. Now, be it that I make this sauce as well, so I could understand if they don’t want to make it the right way with pancetta or at least bacon. But its almost insulting to present thus watery soup of a plate and be able to justify charging any amount. I almost feel like calling the restaurant makeover dude to teach the chef how to cook ! With so many other local options, I’m pretty certain I won’t be back, not even for their pizza.

I found their website as I was new to the area. I have ordered online for delivery from this establishment a dozen times(once or twice a month) since then. There are many choices and the ordering online is great and the delivery men have all been pleasant! The food is quite tasty. The only reason I can’t give it 4 stars is because the last time I ordered I received a call that they don’t deliver to my area and I should pick up my order. I was taken aback as they have for the past 9 months. She looked at my online orders and saw the previous deliveries. I literally live 1 block from the border of Baldwin and the website or menu doesn’t mention a particular area they will not service. Therefore I won’t be ordering from there anymore.

The first time I came here, I thought the pizza was pretty good. I just got a plain and pepperoni slice. Service was fine, so I figured I’d go back one day. So I show up again this week and service was terrible. The men working behind the counter had an attitude, not only to the guests, but to their employees. That’s a huge strike for me. So this short fat guy finally takes my order after like ten minutes. He puts my food in the oven and I step to the register to pay. Prices were reasonable. Two minutes later, my food is ready. The same short fat guy calls me over and asks me, in an extremely loud voice, if I was sure that I paid for my food. I gave him my money two damn minutes ago!!! It’s was totally rude and embarrassing for me. Everyone heard him and it made me feel like a common criminal. I wasn’t about to just run out of there with my food without paying. It was all just totally unnecessary. I feel like they’re friendly to their regulars but not to people they don’t recognize. Not a nice way to run a business. I get home and my pizza was really bland. I feel like it was better the first time I ate there. I think they need to work on their sauce. It’s a little plain. I prefer a sauce that’s a little more savory. I had to cover my slices in red pepper flakes and garlic. I will not be returning to Gino’s. Plenty of better pizza places in the area.

Far better than one has a right to expect from a small pizza restaurant on a strip mall next to a Waldbaums. Pizza, pastas and all the rest always tasty, fresh and supplied in generous portions. Best deal: Wedneday night Salad, Bread, Pasta And dessert for $ 10.99. Highly recommended.

I moved to Nassau County from Brooklyn in 2007 and one of the biggest hurdles I needed to overcome was finding an authentic Pizzeria to satisfy my constant craving for good pizza. My first move was to Oceanside, where I fell in love with Lia’s Pizza — . Their crust was crisp with just enough chewiness, their sauce wasn’t muddled with too many components and unlike so many fly-by-night pizza joints, they didn’t attempt to drown their mediocrity in awful cheese. Around 2010, we picked up and settled into the Silver Lake section of Baldwin and since Lia’s didn’t deliver, we figured we would try out some of the surrounding pizzerias before settling to drive back to O-side for Friday dinners. Luckily, we didn’t need to search long before we found Gino’s. Gino’s is everything that Lia’s was with delivery! Their pizza is cooked to order(we like ours thin and well done), and has a perfect balance of salty cheese, sauce and crisp yet chewy crust. Their other Italian offerings are equally fantastic. We especially enjoy the Penne w/Vodka Sauce and Grilled Chicken or a Chicken Parmigiana w/Capellini. They even have a decent Spumoni! It’s not L&B’s, but it beats what most establishments in the area serve! I’ve read some underwhelming reviews and I’m scratching my head, thinking they must be the victims of some elaborate hoax or they’ve Unilocaled their reviews on the wrong page.

Best pizza spot in Baldwin(IMO of course). ALWAYS fresh(as far as lunch time is concerned). I’ve had a few things on the menu for lunch while at work… –Regular slice is great –Buffalo is as well –Chicken roll — what a deal! $ 5 for a HUGE, fresh, doughy and a bit crispy chicken roll that is done right with a perfect sauce to cheese ratio. –Pepperoni pinwheel similar to the chicken roll –Gnocchi with meat sauce, and they do not joke around about the meat part. Probably one of the unhealthiest things you could eat, but damn so good. And its $ 10, and could easily feed 2 people. The décor is really nice for just a quick walk-in pizzeria, but a lot of people dine-in as well. Great owners that care about their customers and business in general.

Good pizza, but as others have said tomato sauce is too sweet. Also too little cheese, not as much as Raimo’s pizza in Freeport.

The menu here is extensive. Take your time in looking it over, because you’ll inhale your meal when it arrives! Their delicious pasta dishes are inventive and flavorful. The pizza is delicious and consistent. Avoid the lasagna — but that’s the only negative I have to share. Takeout meals come with bread.
