This is very nice place clean quiet I love the Jacuzzi room I spend good time in this place thank you very much American inn.

I’ve never stayed in the hotel, but we’re regulars at the pool and it’s great. It’s always clean, with towels and pool toys available for the kids. The water fountain is right outside the door, and the two bathrooms are always clean. Best of all, the pool is at a reasonable temperature and they’ve always done a great job keeping the chemicals in the hot tub balanced. Their open swim rates are the most reasonable I’ve found in the area and the lady behind the counter always greets us with a smile by name. Thank you for your kindness!

Halloween weekend wedding and what an unexpected gem the Americinn turned out to be! We arrived on Friday, 2 hours before check-in but the young lady at the desk immediately got us settled and gave us the key to our room. The room was clean and spacious and equipped with a fridge(no frost here!), a microwave, tv, and jacuzzi! The king sized bed was super comfy, and the bathroom was very clean and stocked with lots of towels. As far as the breakfast is concerned, well, I’ve never actually been up in time to make it to any free hotel breakfast, but I did enjoy the selections of hot tea and coffee they had available throughout the day. The lobby was cozy and inviting and many members of the wedding group assembled there Saturday afternoon to relax and watch college football. The groom’s parents also acquired the«hospitality» room for an impromptu after-party after the rehearsal dinner. We got a little rowdy but the staff was tolerant and fun as we celebrated. The only problem we had was when we tried to call the office to inquire about a late checkout and there wasn’t a dial tone. Yes, it was plugged in, but it just didn’t work. However, when I awoke at 10am the morning of our departure I walked down the hall to the front desk and asked about the possibility of a later checkout. «You betcha!» was the friendly attendants response and she told me I could check out at whatever time I wanted! «Really?» This has never happened to me before and I was floored(and grateful as we had quite a few hours to kill before our flight.) We eventually checked out at 1pm without any hassles, and a fond farewell from all of the present staff! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone headed to Baldwin or surrounding areas!!!

A hockey tournament weekend in Baldwin. They ran out of double rooms so they gave us a suit to share a pull out sofa and bed. The suite was nice, bigger, same price as the doubles, gave you a microwave and fridge. Also had a spa but since I was not there with a hottie for myself that did not matter. Well the fridge was frozen over not working. DIdn’t have one to replace it with. I had to thaw it out to get it working. No staff offered to take it and put hot water in it or a hairdryer to warm it up. After my daughters first game she showered and found hair on the walls in the shower. The door handle came off in the bathroom, luckily no one fell and got hurt. There was not manager as he had some family business to attend to even thought the hotel was completely booked that weekend. No one could offer me anything more then a sorry. They hide the spray to put on the waffle maker because the waffle sales guy claimed it was really not needed. Well my waffle split perfectly into two parts as I had to scrape to get it off the upper and lower sections. I then watched and it stuck for the next four people in a row. Right the waffle maker does not need that bit of oil to spray. One morning the coffee was gone so I walked up to the desk, said Good Morning, got no response just a look. I politely asked if they could bring out some more coffee out as it was empty. Instead of good morning or thanks for telling us and I will get to that, I got, «Did you check both pots?» I nicely said yes, walked over there with her pushed down both coffee pot handles WITHOUT my cup under them and of course nothing came out. Nothing was said by that staff member. Check out was fine the staff was courteous and promised to write a note to the mgr about what was going on. Though at checkout they could not do anything about the rate and promised the mgr would call on Mon or Tues. I did not get that call so I called Tues and he had left, He called back Wed and acted like no big deal. Didn’t think a non-working frozen fridge was a big deal, even though I, his customer was the one to defrost it and chip the ice out and clean it. Didn’t think the morning staff not being polite was an issue, didn’t think the door handle coming off in my hand in the bathroom was an issue.(I fixed that as well) and didn’t think hiding the waffle spray was an issue. Now the hair on the wall he thought was an issue and apologized but still did not offer anything. Finally I said don’t you think this is all a bit excessive for one customer? I had to specifically ask for a break and in return he did not cut the rate or refund it. He did offer enough points to get a free stay at any AmericInn though. I was really considering 1 star but some things there were ok and there is NOT much choice in Baldwin. I marked it as pricey for what you got but if the situation was normal I would have marked it as moderate.
