Balcones Heights Jazz Festival

Great fun at the Jazz Fest! Parking can be a bit tricky, but we parked at the bank nearby and turned out fine. The set-​up is a row of vendors, including beer/​wine, and different types of foods (BBQ, snacks, pizza, etc), with a slope of grass overlooking a fountain with the stage behind that. Lots and lots of lawn chairs set up, and people crowded around the stage and even standing in front of the food and drink vendors. We brought a blanket and were able to slide alright in between lawn chairs and have a really great view. I will definitely return and do the blanket thing, as it’s easier to find a reasonable spot. You’re not supposed to bring in a cooler or outside drinks, but I like to travel with a light backpack, packed with water, wine and trail mix. But that’s just me :) and it was totally fine.
The music! Oh the sweet serenades of jazz music. It’s very romantic and pleasant. There was at least 2 music groups that we saw, and we got there late. I can’t wait to return. But next time, il have bug spray! Also, not sure about the restroom situation, I never got that far. May be something to look into.
