We didn’t expect it to be as good as it was. It’s in a gas station next to some other fast food counters but it was close to our hotel. We had the pork and the brisket. The sides were a bit small but the BBQ was good. I’d go back.

Had to wait 10 minutes for someone to show up at the counter. Then he had a great deal of trouble getting the order right. But he did make it right and the food was good as expected. Liked it better though when the really smoked the meat.

Glad to have a Dickey’s this ‘close’ to home. It’s about a 20 minute drive from the house, but still nicer than having to drive 45 minutes to Mesquite. When I got there the other evening, I discovered that they had already put up their tea servers up for the evening — so there was no tea and I had to stop by Sonic on the way home to get the tea my husband had asked for. This is poor planning. Tea is a very cheap, high-profit item in the restaurant business. If they brewed a whole new batch and only sold one tea, it would have paid for the whole batch — but instead, they lost out on a beverage sale. Oh well. Unlike most Dickey’s, this location dispenses a couple of napkins upon request. Every Dickey’s I’ve ever been to has ample napkins at every table and place where you can grab a wad of them to put in your to-go bag. Not here. Not one napkin dispenser on any table or on the condiment counter. Not one napkin even. Dickey’s serves primarily finger foods — VERYGREASYFINGERFOODS… you need a lot of napkins… and they are very tight with them. Considering this is not a discount location(as a matter of fact, all the prices have gone up considerably since the last time I was here), they need to supply napkins. My husband got 2 Westerners and I got a meat plate with 2 sides — and the total was nearly $ 30.
