Villa Mondavi

I lived here for a little over two years and it is hands down the best apartment I have ever lived in. I would have continued to live here if I hadn’t relocated out of state. Property manager (Leia) is extremely attentive and friendly. Any time I needed something fixed, they were on it. Even the landscaping people they hired would always say good morning to me as I would head off to work. Everyone associated with this property is fantastic!
My neighbors were really nice and quiet, most were professionals or a few (possibly) grad students. No major parties or strange people near my place. A major plus is that it’s near everything… a two minute drive to the Westside Parkway entrance (to get you downtown in 10 min), maybe 5 – 10 minutes from two Targets and other major stores.
As everyone else has said… the only downside, those speed bumps! Although, I witnessed a few people driving too fast for a parking lot where kids and other pedestrians were, so maybe there is a point to them. :/​
As for moving out, everything was super professional. I got $ 400 of my $ 600 deposit back. Everything they took out was standard and expected. If I’m ever in Bako again, I will definitely be returning as long as Leia and her crew are still in charge!

Nice, quiet place to live. Manager and maintenance are very nice and professional. Move out fees were about half my deposit (carpet cleaning and cleaning). The speed bumps are ridiculously high and make it a pain to come and go.

We lived here for over a year and had a wonderful experience. We were new to Bakersfield and this apartment complex was in the perfect spot for us. We were able to walk to dinner or shopping and there is a park just at the end of the street! Great location!
Our apartment had been upgraded with granite countertops and the rooms were very spacious with lots of storage. Any problems that we had were taken care of within a day and the apartment manager is excellent!
The pool area is very nice and always clean. They even have an ice machine by the pool! Overall it was a great place to live and the only reason we moved out was for a house.

I lived here for 2 years and would have continued living here if I didn’t buy a house. This apartment complex is perfect for young professionals. It is quiet and peaceful. Never have any issues with loud neighbors. Washer and dryer are included in each apartment (big plus for me!).
Both the property manager and the maintenance guy are very nice. I had a water pipe burst late one night and leaking water all over the carpet, which I didn’t discover it until 2AM! Most places would probably tell me to put down some rags and pray that my apartment won’t be flooded in the morning. Ray came out within 15 minutes to turn off the water until he can deal with it in the morning. He got the carpet cleaner to come the next morning to deal with the wet carpet.
The only negative would be the HUGE speed bumps. If you’re going more than 5mph over the speed bump, you would definitely hit the bottom of your car. Tired me coming home from work late at night have forgotten this many times (sorry car)

I have lived here for over 3 years and could not be more satisfied. The property is very well maintained and clean. In my short stay living here we had two managers-​both were wonderful and extremely diligent. It does not matter what time of day or night– if you have a matainence issue they would attend to the matter immediately! I want to say a personal thank you to Ray for always keeping the property maintained and Leia for her professional and friendly attitude with the tenants. I would recommend this property to anyone who is a young business professional looking for a nice, quite and safe place to live.

Best apartment I’ve Ever lived in, very clean and professional.

I have lived at Mondavi Apt since 2003. It is an amazing place to live. Small and Safe. Pool area is always clean and not crowed. The Apartments are light and spacious– washer/​dryer are in the apartments and are new.
The courtyard between each building provides privacy and the trees are old and well established so its again very private.
The Property Manager is Superb. She takes care of all special needs — and is extremely tentative to needs if they come up.
I have looked at other property’s –for the money-​the grounds-​the great apartment and the Property Manager you wont find a better deal.
