Amazingly fast service; in the drive thru, online ordering or inside! Everyone is super friendly and warm. Such a great start to your day off with a good latter and friendly faces!

Space is tight to enjoy inside. Boxes stacked up high is unappealing and takes space in sitting area. Cashier was not very pleasant. I think I would stick to drive thru in a pinch.

Baristas, what can be said. Most of them are nice and courteous. However, there are 3 unhappy baristas who are rude and condescending. It’s a hit or miss. Make sure you make them repeat your order. They get lost– pretty easily.

I Don’t know why people keep giving this place ANY stars more than the one that you must give… This place has got to be one of the worst setup Starbucks ever conceived(It Used To Be A Fish Place For God Sake)!!! The dive threw is CRAZY slow and backs up so far that idiots waiting for their morning Latte are not only blocking the street but also the whole intersection… It’s only going to be a matter of time before someone gets in a wreck because these morons don’t want to park and scamper into the Coffee house to get their morning Grande Mocha Latte Frap Chi-Chug of the morning… But putting the people who can KILL you while driving up aside for a moment… Although some of the people who work in this location are nice and professional… Your just as likely to get a Blue haired, plug eared, hoop threw the nose moron who can’t tell a cup of Coffee from a Chi-Tea… And when you ask Captain CoCo Bean to fix your order, you get an attitude that makes you want to hook a high powered magnet to the ceiling fan so Nose Ring lad can go spinning like a extra from Circusoley!!! Most of the people who work at this location have a REALLY bad stuck up «We don’t need your business attitude»…

Fast service. Friendly staff and a large sit in lounge area. Only problem, there are too many tiny tables. Lots of customers use this location for bible studies or business meetings. It would be nice if there were at lest 2 full size tables to accommodate those customers.

One of the biggest issues with this particular Starbucks is the slow drive-through service, which often leads to cars lined up out into the street causing frequent near-accidents. As nasty an intersection as Oswell and Auburn is, one would have thought the franchise owners would have done a better job lengthening the drive-through to make it safer when they did their recent parking lot repaving. Of course, if you’re coming to Starbucks for Starbucks, then you’re going to get exactly the kind of drink that you’re looking for. Just be careful in the drive-through, or else you might wind up with an extra rear-end with your latte. True story: I went to this Starbucks this morning and when I got to the end of the drive-through, I asked the worker for a car carrier. He said that not only were they out of car carriers, every Starbucks in Bakersfieldwas out of car carriers. I thought it strange that this guy would give me that particular piece of information. Like, he was either lying to me or wanted me to think that the entire Bakersfield Starbucks system is comprised of morons. Either way…

I would have given it a lower score if possible. I went in to get a coffee the lady at the registrar who later to find out was the store manager was so very rude. Rhonda was completely rude. Not to leave out she has no idea how to write the drink orders. It causes everything to back up. Because the blonde girl was very sweet to remake it. And she was kind to say she was do sorry. If I had know this person was the manager earlier I would have made a request that they try training there managers on how to work on the floor. This way the time it takes you to get your coffee would be fast not watching so many people have their drinks remade. And yelling at the staff while we are waiting to get our drinks really. Try to learn how to do your job Rhonda. It’s amazing you have any staff left.

This Starbucks location is so conveniently placed but I can’t recommend it anymore and I will no longer be going here. I stop by several times a week… were talking 4+ here. And every time my drink(same drink every day) is inconsistently made! Today it had whip on it and it was easily missing 2⁄3 of the drink. I just paid $ 5 for coffee… give me a full cup!

SO I came in today this is my second visit the first time I grabbed a coffee and left but this time i decided to stay and do some homework. the store seems under staffed or the staff is just really slow I see about 6 people and only 1 seems to be running the place, and he is overwhelmed by everyone else’s sloth like pace he was helping everyone in drive thru and the front counter. the store is roomy and decently clean. The location is a nice area. They may have just been giving out breaks and did not leave a prepared store for minimal staffing. I hope it’s a 5* next time i decide to come by.

This is an absolutely adorable Starbucks. Walking up to the front, there is a raised patio with a black iron railing and chairs and tables for enjoying the lovely Bakersfield Spring weather. The interior seems larger than the usual Starbucks, but it could be because it’s shaped more like a square and most Starbucks are rectangular. There are large bay windows across the front which allow for a significant amount of natural lighting The floor is made of brown and black ceramic tiles. It looks like someone drew two diagonal cross-secting lines from corner to corner so that there are two large black triangles and two large brown triangles laid out of the floor. I know it sounds weird, but it was cool to look at. There are many electrical outlets spaced at intervals around the walls. They are handy to all but the tables in the middle of the floor, and there were plenty of people using them to power their laptops while they took advantage of the free wifi. There was soothing guitar music playing over the PA system. I ordered a Nutella Latte(It’s on the secret menu — you can google it) and mom ordered a Naked Mango smoothie since she doesn’t drink coffee. Yes, even my non-coffee and non-tea drinking mother is a Starbucks addict, they carry so many other options. We split a piece of lemon pound cake. My drink was made perfectly, and we both enjoyed the atmosphere in this store. The employees were very friendly and the patrons all seemed to be smiling, too.

This is my neighborhood Starbucks & I really like it, the Baristas are very friendly, service is quick & it has plenty of room for a group meet up or to enjoy by myself with out feeling like I’m part of the table next to me! Keep up the good work eastside Starbucks!

This location used to be great. There are no original Baristas left that opened the store. The last Barista(a partner of 5 years) was fired several weeks ago. Since then an INSANE amount of new Baristas have been hired. I’ve hear a lot of people complaining.

Well, I have got good drinks in the past, but lately, nothing has been good. I’ve tried to give them chances, but I don’t think I’ll be going back to this location. The first time it was bad was a couple weeks ago when I ordered a soy no whip caramel brulee latte(this was my new fav since the pumpkin lattes went away, so I knew what a good one tasted like). By the time I was home, I saw that it was about a quarter less than what it should be and there was an obscene amount of syrup. I didn’t even finish it. A few days ago, I ordered a soy green tea latte and this time, just too much syrup. Maybe some of the baristas need to check how much they are mixing in there… just a suggestion.

This is by far my favorite Starbucks in town that I’ve visited. The staff creates such a great atmosphere because they’re like family towards each other and I like how open the room is so you don’t feel all claustrophobic.
