Wonderful job, inexpensive, very fast.
The décor is no frills, a row of chairs open when I arrived. The gal got right to work a gave me a wonderful shape in 2 minutes flat for $ 8. She had a great sense of what shape worked for my face, very natural.
I found a new favorite, I’ll be back on a regular basis.

Great place to get threading and there’s never a long wait. Ralcki always does a great job, happy I don’t have to drive to Ming location. The only thing I’d suggest is wiping down headrest or disposable covers after each customer but that’s just me.

Hands down the ABSOLUTE BEST threading place in Bakersfield! RALCHI is ABSOLUTELY amazing, she is a PRO at what she does! PERFECT job everytime and she provides great customer service remembering you everytime… I have all my family and friends going to her now and they are customers for life like myself, so glad she is there on Sundays now. Good job management on such a GREAT hire!

I’m so glad Star Threading is in the NW. I love threading… Face, lip, chin and eyebrows. The salon is always clean, and I absolutely love the girls (Ralchi & Ravi). This place so pleasant, and everyone is always kind with bright smiles on their faces. I rate this salon and the girls 5 Stars for their top notch service.

Great experience my first time visiting. There were a couple of people in front of me but it didn’t take long till it was my turn. The process was quicker than I expected, because before I knew it, I was already heading out the door! They definitely know what they’re doing. Great service. Simple and clean facility. I’ve been to their location on Ming and wanted to try this one out since it’s closer to where I live. Came around 12:45pm on a Tuesday and it was empty. Luckily for me the person who was threading had just come back from lunch and I only had to wait a few minutes.
What I love about this place is that the service is great, fast, and cheap. Eyebrows and lip were only $ 11, which is perfect.
I’ll definitely be coming back.

Quick in, quick out. Sometimes they go a little too thin on my brows, but the shape is always on point. They’re gentle on the skin leaving minimal to no redness.

Quick. I had never tried threading so with Unilocal deal I figured what the heck! I’m glad I did, 3 minutes later I had my brows back. Will go again.

Vacant around 11:00 am on a Wednesday, so it’s perfect. You get serviced immediately. $ 8 special going on now for eyebrow threading. Takes only 5 – 10 minutes and you’re out the door. Clean facilities and plenty of vacant chairs. Good location on the NW side of town.

The young lady was very nice. She has a very gentle touch. I purchased the coupon in advance although she was unfamiliar with it, she called owner to get understanding. (Dont know why they don’t cover this in advance)
Honestly, I have to try one more time. I had to show her missed spots but because I have thin brows I understood her hesitancy.

Started coming here because it’s way closer to my house than the original Star beauty salon on Ming Ave. They usually do a great job threading my eyebrows and actually listen to what you’re saying. I recommend this place for threading.

This place is great! I’m so glad there is a threading place in the Northwest!
My first visit there was a wait, second there was no one there.
She got my brows the way I wanted them and I was happy! Yay!
It is sparsely decorated but hey it does the trick, in and out in just a couple of minutes.
I would recommend this place because if you are not a fan of waxing a I am NOT, then go here for $ 7 it’s well worth the trip.
She also offers more than brows but I don’t use those services. Just FYI.

I bought the Unilocal deal and I really wanted to love this place. The first time I came, she took too much off one side. Today, she made them both too thin. I’m disappointed. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back.

She knows what she’s doing and was able to fix my brows I’m record time. So glad I found this location!!!

Star Threading is the new kid on the block, having only been open in this location on the Northeast corner of Calloway and Hageman for a couple of weeks, but they’re poised and ready to make a big splash in the Northwest!
«What is threading?» you ask? What rock have you been hiding under? Come sit down and rest your feet and I’ll tell you all about it. Threading is an ancient method of hair removal that has been practiced for centuries in the Eastern World. It has long been popular in far off exotic places such as China, India, Persia, and Arab countries, but has only recently (in the last 5 – 10 years) become popular in mainstream America. Threading is replacing waxing as the faster, easier, and less painful solution to removing unwanted facial hair.
For those of us with luscious raven locks (thick dark hair for you who like to keep it simple) we need a little help keeping our eyebrows within acceptable boundaries. For years I had them waxed and not only suffered pain during the process, but redness and puffiness for hours afterwards (I have sensitive skin) and had to reapply makeup afterwards before heading out into public. WIth waxing there is less discomfort, though it does make my eyes water a little, and little or no redness. Best of all, it doesn’t affect my makeup so I can walk right out the door with confidence that I look as great as I feel.
Their only tool to work this magic is white cotton. Seriously, that’s it. They have a way of wrapping the cotton thread around multiple hairs at a time and then yanking them out. It sounds much worse than it actually feels. And when you’re done there’s no leftover wax sticking to places it shouldn’t, just some broken pieces of cotton thread that the lady sweeps up off the floor and you’re good to go.
There was only one lady working here the weekday morning I discovered Star Threading. I actually discovered it on Unilocal where they had a special deal where you could buy a $ 14 voucher for only $ 10. Once I arrived, the lady there told me they also have a special where if you check in on Unilocal they will thread your eyebrows for $ 5 instead of $ 7. Frankly, even the $ 7 was a great price so what are you waiting for? This is the only threading I’ve seen in the Northwest and the woman did a beautiful job on my eyebrows.
Interestingly, there were two other customers there when I arrived who were getting their brows done for the first time ever. They both chose very different styles than I would, but we all had brows that looked good on us and it was nice to know that the workers here are versatile and can achieve many different looks.
