I received an add in the mail going over how impressive their meat department is. Unfortunately the meat is not very good. I couldnt find steaks with good Marbling, so I knew it wasnt going to be very tasty. The price was actually not that competitive even though ti was on sale. Also I was disappointed that there was not a meat counter. Store was easily laid out, not all that fancy. Customer service was there, if I needed it. The Deli section looked pretty cool, but I didnt get a chance to visit it.

So close to home, I wonder why we had not been here before! Hubby did some weird method to find out on line who carried some Silk Soy creamer for his coffee. So, we ended up here! The store is a bit older, can tell by the floor design but it was very clean. Props to the friendly seafood guy too. The selection of product was good and we walked out with several things even though we had already done our shopping elsewhere for the week. Could not be helped! It was not nearly as busy as Vons today and it almost had a relaxed vibe to it on a Sunday afternoon. I found the prices to be comparable to anywhere else(except Winco). With only 2 cashes open at the check out, it was starting to get quite lined up. Someone came and opened up another cash which was very appreciated but too bad he was a bit of a dink personality wise. Oh well, that won’t keep me from returning, I liked it here! Just wish they had self check outs!

Beer. Lots of it. Competitive prices on craft beer that is seldom found in this area. Not even BevMo. Like Bakersfield Craft Beer on Facebook and stay up to date on selection and prices! Cheers!

I’m a fan of this Save Mart but only because of the beer selection. They have an entire aisle dedicated to mosty craft beer and they usually have a lot of it at discounted prices. I just bought a 6 pack of Deschutes IPA that’s normally $ 12 for $ 7 and they have the largest selection of Luganitas I’ve seen anywhere. I’m big on trying new brews pretty often and the selection here is large enough and the discounted items rotate frequently enough to keep me trying something new almost every time I come here. Lately I’ve found myself holding off on buying beer elsewhere(usually while grocery shopping at Winco) and make a quick pit stop here instead. FYI: There is two aisles of beer. One with a big selection of your big brand beers and another two aisles over(on the wall) with all the craft and specialty items.

This is my go to spot for local groceries and beer. The place is clean and the service is friendly. They also have a great selection of craft beer at some of the cheapest prices in town.

What can a person say about a very standard supermarket? Parking is ample, though shade is somewhat lacking(an issue in Bakersfield in the summertime). There is no membership club with any Save Mart, which is nice, so you don’t have to give out personal info or carry a little barcode on your keychain, Otherwise, I guess my only issue is that the layout of this particular Save Mart is a hair less than intuitive, with a great deal of food wedged deep in the«back left» corner of the market. But hey, prices are decent, the cashiers are usually friendly and pretty quick. I do with there was a self checkout, which there is not.

Next to Albertson’s, highest prices in town. I feel this store survives on it’s location alone. Do not even waste your time at the weak excuse of Deli or fresh seafood area. And all meats are pre-packaged. They are very proud of their meats apparently. They are priced just about higher than anybody in town. But if your going to charge high prices, you better at least have high quality. I don’t see that in this store. Wait to checkout seems to be more an issue in this store than others. But when it’s 5pm, they shouldn’t appear so shocked that their is a rush. I use this as a convience store, I have not grabbed a cart in many years to shop in this store.

Used to shop here but this place is just too high priced for weekly shopping. Great for picking up a few things or sale items.

I can’t seem to grasp why anybody would shop here. Prices are sky high compared to other grocery stores. The employees are not friendly and never seem to smile much. The difference between employees at Vons and employees here is insane. Customer service is so important and I don’t feel very valued when I visit this store.

I do not stop here too often. Maybe every few months or so. They have the word«save» in their name, but you can save more at Winco Groceries. There are a few things that I like better here than Winco though. Save Mart’s bakery section is so much better than Winco’s. They are also closer to my home. Another positive about Save Mart is that they are not as expensive as Albertson’s and Von’s are. Most of the time the service is good. Today, though, it wasn’t. Both the clerk and bagger totally ignored us. Very rude! Fortunately, we don’t have to shop here too much.

Their Deli turkey meats are always outstanding and you get so much for your buck, and the woman that had helped me was very polite and helpful.

This has become my go to supermarket. It’s just a typical market, but it’s close to home, has everything, and is open until midnight. Those are some really good perks! It’s also much less crowded and cheaper than the Vons and Albertson’s in the same area.

This store is too expensive. I only shop here when they are running good deals on meat. The store is well maintained and stocked. Employees are helpful and nice.

Save Mart is decent for a couple reasons – they are located in the NW, they have redbox, and they have great weekly specials. Save Mart is not my first choice of grocery stores due to the fact that their prices seem to be a little higher. However, they have great weekly specials, which smoke their competition. For example, this week, all Oroweat bread(my favorite) is $ 2.50 per loaf. Every other grocery store will charge $ 4.50 for that same loaf. Shop the specials and you will be a happy camper. Aesthetically, the store is always clean, well staffed, and everything is displayed in an appealing manner. Furthermore, I have always had great customer service. Needless to say, Save Mart is not a bad option when in the area.

Who is the marketing director for this place? Because they need to be fired… immediately. My wife and I would drive past this place and never stopped in because it looked like one of those supermarkets that made you bag your own groceries, only sold day-old bread, and never heard of organic produce. Seriously. When you see a grocery with a sign that says, «Save Mart» in the smallest, the most generic font imaginable, do you think of top-shelf produce? Don’t lie… you don’t, do you? Names of top-shelf grocery stores that were appropriately named: Randall’s flagship, Kroger signature, Garden of Eden, Ralph’s Fresh Fair… each one with a magnificently gaudy font that conjures images of some old farmer hand picking each fruit and wrapping it carefully to ensure absolute freshness. Now think of «Save Mart.» Yeah… thought so. Anyways, we stopped in because we had to get something random like potato chips or something. The instant we set foot inside, we were amazed at how spectacular this grocery store is. Perhaps it was the initial shock of low expectations, but it was very pleasant. I have nothing else to say because it was a standard, nice grocery store. I just felt compelled to remark on the stupid sign and how the branding and imaging of this store was done by an idiot.
