I was very interested to move in here but I have been here 6 different times in the past 3 years I’ve been wanting to move. This is crazy! Not once has there been someone in the office! I haven’t even seen the inside of the apartment because no office manager! I’ve come to the realization that I don’t want to live here because I want an office manager that’s there when I need them to be. Other royal t management is great but don’t even try coming here to see the apartments! Maybe call first…

How your stay in any apartment really depends on your manager. When we first moved in, the manager was great. However, she left half way between our stay. The second manager after that was so-so. For the most part, the noise we heard was from upstairs; did not hear sounds coming from the two units on each side. The vents must be connected somehow between the bathrooms as I could smell smoke coming for the next door unit in my bathroom. Maintenance was done in a timely manner. The pool is open year round, but not heated so not much use for the winter. Pets are allowed with a refundable deposit — no extra monthly rent. The way rent works is based off of an addendum — which is more flexible than a lease. Wish there was a recycle bin for the complex. Trash/sewage is covered. Need to pay for water/electricity. If you live in one of the units that are farther away from the street, there is minimal noise coming from Ming ave. The neighborhoods surrounding the apartment units are nice and relatively safe. Security drives through nightly. Appliances are old. Units could use some updating.

UPDATE: we had an extremely difficult time dealing with the apartment management and ended up having to contact multiple consumer protection agencies and file a BBB complaint after the toilet’s water supply line burst and flooded the place. they only seemed to be willing to work with us in a more reasonable way once we threatened to report them for attempting to use an unlicensed contractor to do repairs and filed our BBB complaint. this place is also located on a really busy street so you can expect some street noise, unusual characters wandering onto the premises from time to time, and at least a few harrowing experiences pulling into and out of the driveway. also, one of their maintenance staff approached us and asked if we would help him catch some stray cats on premises. i’m an animal lover and there’s no way in hell i would ever participate in such an atrocious thing as catching animals so they can be killed or otherwise harmed. i would not rent from them again and i don’t recommend it. These apartments are managed by Royal T. Management(local). The apartments are just OK as a temporary place to live. Renter turn-over seems to be pretty high here so you may have noisy neighbors for 6 months or so, but then they might leave. Maintenance issues are addressed pretty timely, however we were not pleased that they did not consider sewer back-up through the tub drain an emergency and waited until the next day to send someone out. We couldn’t use the tub or toilet and worried the whole time(did not get much sleep) that our apartment was going to flood, especially when we woke up to more scary gurgling noises coming from the bathroom before 6:00AM. When we moved in, we were told these apartments were built in the 1970’s. We like the floorplan(seems more spacious than most modern apartments), but the place definitely needs to be updated(older appliances, 3 of the 4 burners on the stove don’t work, freezer temperature fluctuates, needs new carpet, etc).
