I called this company because I was referred to them by my home warranty company. I was assigned to a different company at first, but they were super rude just like their reviews said and so I immediately called my home warranty company and demanded they switch companies for me. I am so glad I did that! James Air Conditioning and Heating is amazing! It’s a husband and wife owned company. Amy, the wife is the friendliest person and has the ultimate customer service skills. She assured me that they would get out the next day, first thing in the morning. The other company couldn’t get out for 3 days! Amy listened to everything I had to say and was very knowledgeable about the home warranty’s policies and procedures. She also reassured me that everything would be fine.(We have had so many issues with our home lately that I was super overwhelmed and I needed her pep talk). Paul, her husband, the other owner, came to my home first thing in the morning. He asked me about the problems we were experiencing. I explained everything and he went about his business diagnosing it. I had another issue with my Internet service, so I was on the phone with someone from AT&T and Paul was patient about that as well. When Paul was finished, he came in and told me the issue. He had already changed out the sensor that had gone bad and my problem had been taken care of just like that! Now, I’m sure that if I were paying out of pocket for the repairs, Paul would have discussed the repairs with me prior to making them. However, I took this experience as an awesome thing because that’s how well Paul knew the warranty company he works with. He knew it would be covered with them, so he just fixed it. His amazing service and customer service didn’t end there. I asked him if I could ask him a few questions I had about our air conditioning and heating unit. He agreed without hesitation. I asked him my questions and he answered them, but he didn’t stop there! He took me around the inside AND outside of my home making suggestions as to how we could make our home more efficient and what we could do to it to keep it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I even asked him if my husband called him if he would be willing to explain some things to him as well. He said, «Of course!» You know, sometimes you run into a totally negative situation and good comes from it. God totally blessed us by what happened in this situation. If it weren’t for the rude lady at the other company, we wouldn’t have found this amazing one! Thanks, James Air Conditioning and Heating! We’ll be calling you again, but hopefully not anytime soon!

My home owners insurance contracts through this company. The man was very nice but unfortunately he didn’t review everything appropriately because right after he left my A/C continued to blow hot air. He also diagnosed that my issue was something not covered in my warranty and I later contacted a third party on my own who resolved my issue and it was not what this company said was my issues. All in all because he mis diagnosed my issue I paid out of pocket for nothing.

Our home warranty company contracts with James Air Conditioning, and upon filing our warranty claim I immediately checked them out on Unilocal,only to find that they had fantastic reviews from previous customers. And those reviewers were spot on: Paul and Amy were wonderful to work with; incredibly responsive, honest and reliable. They will be my go-to company for our heating and air conditioning needs from here on out.

I rent a house and the insurance that was at the house used James Air Conditioning and Heating. I didn’t pay for the service, but would pay top dollar for these guys. They were kind, professional, and extremely helpful. They called when they said they would call and came when they said they would come. I called the owner, Amy, after hours. She returned my call even though she was eating dinner. I told her I had an infant and that if she got a cancelation to move me up. I was supposed to wait 4 days without AC. From the kindness of her heart, she made an extra appointment for me(i.e., had the repairman start his day an hour early) so we could have working AC for our newborn. If you need a regular AC maintenance team or just to get your AC fixed, I highly recommend them.

Everyone at James Air Conditioning is so professional and knowledgeable. I had them come and inspect my home before purchasing it and Paul came, on time, and personally inspected my ducts, filters, ac unit. He found a faulty thermostat and with 24 hrs had replaced and programmed it. He was very friendly and his office was able to work out my busy schedule and find an appointment time that worked best for me. There rates are very comparable if not better then most in town. I am and will always be a satisfied client.

The fan blower keep running continually without the furnace or ac being activated., that is until the repair person showed up. He said that to properly diagnose for the problem, he would have to catch it in the malfunction and to call him and he would come out right a way. the next day it started up again. He did come right out and was able to catch the problem. Replaced the circuit board, problem solved.

My husband and I have a very old house(1910). The heating/cooling was at least 25 years old. We had had the cooling break down on us in the middle of 100+ weather. It was awful. We got a few quotes b/c we knew it would be an expensive job to replace both units(upstairs and downstairs) as well as the duct work(apparently the ducts were too small so we weren’t getting the maximum amount of air circulating, which meant that it took a loooong time to cool off/warm up). Plus we were burning A LOT of unnecessary energy — and paying for it. Anywhoo, James Air Conditioning and Heating came out and replaced our entire units along with the duct work. Mr. James was exceptional. He really knows his stuff and explained it to me in terms I could understand(I told him that he should teach because he can really explain things well). He told me about the different kinds of units, etc., their energy efficiency, prices, etc. I appreciated that he didn’t just try to «sell me the most expensive unit on the market.» He was very professional, showed up on time each day, never bothered me(I work part time from home), and always kept me apprised of what he was doing. Plus he was friendly and had a great sense of humor. I guess this is a family-owned business. It was obvious that this company takes pride in their work — and it showed. I even got a call a few days later checking to see how my new units were working. They are fabulous! Of course now we are in the 100’s again, and my house stays nice and cool throughout the days and nights.
