I love this place! Dr Doel is a great Dr, I alway feel very comfortable and happy with the care they provide. I especially like the alternative Medicine they proscribe. I highly recommend this place to anyone living in Bakersfield looking for good primary care.

Don’t trust this guy. He will tell you not to trust doctors, pharmaceutical companies, etc with this holistic approach. He is a charlatan just trying to make a buck from you. He will try to get you to purchase MANY supplements you can buy at Trader Joes for a fraction of the cost. That’s not even close to the worst though. Both my father and I had the same experience independently. He works for a school district and all teachers and most staff have to be TB tested. He went in for the test and Dr. Deol had his lab across the way run numerous unrequested and unnecessary tests and billed him over $ 600 for them as they were not covered by blue cross blue shield… After several complaints and phone calls over 8 months later the bill was finally dropped. Around the same time I got my own insurance a few years ago I went in for a sinus infection. I used to use him a lot so I knew he’d make other suggestions. I told him with a smile that if anything he suggested was not covered by the insurance and the copay to wait until the following week so I could have my mom come with me. We laughed about being poor and in college. I complained about anxiety during the consult with him so he did a stress test. he asked me if he could do with a new machine he had just gotten. He never told me there would be a charge for this. He only told me to go in the room and breathe into the apparatus. A sheet printed and he told me my body works harder at stand still than it needs to and told me to relax. (I HAVE CLINICAL ANXIETY. RELAX? OK!). I thought it was useless information but didnt care because I thought it wasnt a real test of anything. I took the paper and was on my way. A few weeks later my mom received a letter addressed to me. It was a bill for about $ 600. I should also mention something even more disturbing. In the same visit I asked him to prescribe birth control. He went on to scold me, then asked me VERY VERY INAPPROPRIATE SEXUAL QUESTIONS when I was not sexually active. I belive in some of the services he offers, but I have no trust in him, which sucks because I went there for years. Anyway, 4 years later, many angry calls and letters later… I no longer have to pay this fool anything.
