Cooks island view underwent a massive restoration a few years back. The rooms are not over furnished but they are very clean and comfortable. Nice TV hookup, WiFi, nice pool, super friendly. These people will take care of you. They truly care. A really nice feature: there is a beautiful deck in the back with grilles that the guests can use. Very nice on an island where the cheapest eats would be about 25 a plate at a restaurant. Walking distance to the gorgeous cedar beach too. This place rocks. 100% recommended!

This place was clean and comfortable enough for a one night stay. No frills, but fine for a night or two. At $ 120/night before taxes, I expect a tad more than average. But Maine in the summer is pricey, so it’s probably in line with what’s out there. My parents paid about $ 10 more a night to stay in a B&B nearby, which was a better deal. While the place had wifi, our room was too far from the router to connect. Book a room right next to the office if you plan to use the internet during your stay.

Good value for this area, but this is a no-frills establishment. Pros: The room was very spacious. It was immaculately clean. The staff was nice. It was quiet. Fridge and Microwave in room. Cons: Zero amenities. It’s a room with a bed and a bathroom and that’s it. No iron, no clock, no phone(and there is no cell service in the area). The Wi-Fi was non-existent unless you sat right outside the office.
