Nothing to do with their service but everything to do with their pricing. Was quoted a certain amount for a set of tires that was a lot more than I found the same tires in many other places…

Mel is a great guy and i do feel like I’ve found someone that is looking to fix your car and get it running and not upselling you things you don’t need. Mel has serviced our last 3 cars, 4^th one is still under dealer warranty but will be taking to Mel once that’s over. I have a code puller and so I generally know what it’s telling me before I bring it in (though I don’t share this with them), and every time what they’ve outlined is what I knew it needed (or learned it needed from online research). Mel does a good job at offering you options as well (tire selection, brake selection, timing of fixes), things like «here’s what I would do if I were you, but if you needed to save a little, here is what we could not do and you’d be ok for 6 months, or this is cheaper but still a good product and safe.» I recommend and have recommended Mel for anyone in this area if you need a good mechanic who is fair and trustworthy.

My family owns a garage up in MA and it has taken me a long time to find someplace comparable down here in CT. I finally think I have found it in Village Garage. Mel really seems like a trustworthy guy with is customers best interests at heart. Saves me from driving up to MA!

Village Garage has been our family’s repair place for about 5 years. Brakes, tires, lights, wipers, oil change, tune-​up etc. Mel really is a good guy to deal with.
