Since this was my first visit I will preface that I’ve noticed that barbers usually give you the most attention to detail and service on the first cut and it’s usually down hill from there. Gave Nick’s a try since my other barber was booked. I was not disappointed with the service. It is a small shop, only two chairs, and it was pretty hard to find because I drove past it without even knowing. Dave cut my hair and even though I was a few minutes late he did not rush through the cut. He seemed pretty focused on details and was very open to comments and my suggestions of «a little more here» and«a bit shorter there». I’ve honestly never felt that comfortable with a barber right off the bat. The phone did ring off the hook and since Dave was the only one in the shop we had to pause multiple times. He made sure everything was to my satisfaction. At the end of the cut, the finishing touches were the hot shaving cream for the back of the cut and a skin toner. For $ 18 a cut, I will definitely be going back.

Nick’s Barbershop is the best barbershop in the state. Nick does an amazing fade and is so fun to be around. While I don’t get to get over there much due to my hours at work, Nick is ALWAYS a true pleasure to deal with. If you’re looking for a good, no GREAT, barber, look no further.

I moved to Avon about 4 years ago and tried a number of shops in the area. Once I went to Nick’s the search was over. Dave cuts my hair most of the time, but Dave or Nick are equally great at what they do.

Based on another review, I decided to take my three year old in for a haircut. Nick did a fantastic job. The smile on my son’s face when he spiked his hair at the end of the cut was priceless. The lollipop helped too. My son and I have found a new barber shop. Cool place and quality cuts.

I started going to Nick’s back when I was 8-years old. Ten years later, I still look forward to coming home from college and getting a haircut. Nick is one of the friendliest guys I know and Dave is just as great. Together, they make a good team. Not only do they do a great job with the hair, but they are also hilarious. While walk-ins are allowed, they can get busy during the day so it’s a good idea to call ahead. They’ll stay in late and usually, they’re in there during the weekend. It’s a classic barbershop so you can walk in there and expect the best. Some guy opened a new barber shop probably not even 100 yards away but I don’t think he’ll ever be able to compete with Nick’s. Highly Recommended.
