Five Guys Burgers and Fries

Wow did this place get pricey!!! Almost 9 bucks for a bacon cheeseburger! No thanks! Add a fry and drink and you are looking at like 16 bucks for one person!!! I could stomach the price if it came with good customer service, but you don’t even get that! Sure the food is good, but the staff here need some energy or something! They all look miserable and talk to just enough to take your order and your money. Maybe Five Guys could invest some of their high prices in employees that care! Cleanliness: it was average here… Usually Five Guys restaurants are eat off the floor clean! Not this one… Those fancy soda machines were sticky looking and the bathroom looked like no one had cleaned it in a day or two. There was only two trash cans available, both of which were overflowing… While I was eating the crew looked busy closing the store over an hour before actual closing time… At least they are driven to go home! The person I assume was the manager (he was wearing a gray shirt) did not appear to help… He supervised and adjusted his pants repeatedly… Dinner and show! Yum! I think next time I will skip Five Guys… If I want lackluster customer service ill go to Mcdonalds and save 10 bucks, and if I want a good burger and customer service I’ll go to Plan B and get a great burger, great fries, a beer, and a waitress who will bring it all to me with a smile and personality, all for the same price as my Five Guys in a grocery bag sodden with grease, and workers who are more inclined to adjust their pants than they are to smile at me.

I figured I would give this place a try after hearing so many good things about it. Boy this was a mistake. The first thing I noticed was the cost. Two large hamburgers with bacon to fries and two sodas came up to more than $ 30. The burgers were very fresh and were cooked pretty much perfectly. If you love a good season burger this is not it. This is just a burger with nothing else on it at all. People have also raved about the buns. I have no clue why. The bun that I got had a odd texture and became almost kind of gummy as you chewed it. The order of french fries that I got came in a large paper bag and we’re spilled everywhere. I guess this is kind of a novelty but the novelty got old on the fourth french fry I tried to grab holding a bag soaked through and through in Oil. The one nice addition to the restaurant that I didn’t like was the Coke freestyle machine. Eating here was an experience but I’m not going to come back. It’s just not enough Utils here.

As plant-​based cuisine gains popularity, I really think Five Guys needs to jump on the bandwagon. First, source some rolls without animal products in them (not hard). And, second, look into creating a vegan veggie burger worthy of the Five Guys name. It’s doable, but may need corporate to hire a vegan chef consultant with knowledge under his/​her belt to develop a grill-​ready vegan burger with great taste and texture. I’m not talking Boca burgers here. Yes, this is not a fair review of the Avon restaurant, per se. But, I’ve already voiced my concerns to corporate, and want others to know it’s a concern. While less than 5% of the US population is vegan, market studies reveal that as many as 40% of the US population seeks plant-​based dining alternatives at least some of the time, if THE ALTERNATIVES ARE GREAT TASTING.

Food was great but the woman in full red attire gave my order to the wrong person. When I brought it to her attention she did not apologize nor show any customer service. To bad because this place has great burgers. Maybe she needs to fine a new line of work or learn the difference between the number 54 and 55

Burgers are excellent and the French fries kick ass. The guys behind the counter are courteous and helpful. The food always comes out fast and hot.

For a burger place this one is pretty good. You can call ahead and have your burgers ready to pick up. The staff have always been friendly and courteous. It’s usually a staple each week with our hectic schedule.

Normally I love five guys burgers, but today they seem to get every single thing wrong. I ordered a bacon cheese hotdog and got a bacon hotdog, no cheese. I ordered a little Cajun fry and got a large regular. Seriously not the end of the world, the food is great and I still enjoyed my lunch, but it was just very frustrating to know that there was only three customers, but they couldn’t manage to get the order straight.

I will say that I rarely come to this area that much in my past, but now that I found out Scott is managing the place, you will see me more often!
Scott is a great person and have known him in the food industry for years.
The burger I ordered was perfect, consistent and I even went for the Cajun fries to treat myself.
This location is always very clean and the staff is friendly.

Saturday at 12:30 pm. Restaurant is mobbed. One cashier, one cook, no other staff! Very long wait! Can’t comment on food because there hasn’t been any after 20 minute wait.

Inexpensive but good. Kids love their Kosher dogs, and a regular cheeseburger really fills you up.

Best burgers in town. We always stop here after shopping at Walmart. We prefer Five Guys over all the other boutique burger joints. Great toppings, soft buns and always friendly service.

Yum, yum, yum! If you’re looking for some casual greasy (in a good way) burgers then you can’t beat Five Guys. The food is always consistent. The burgers are thick and the servings of fries are huge. They make the burgers to order, so you can have them anyway you like.
Price is reasonable versus other casual dining places.

Staff is really nice, food is always hot and tastes great. Picking up online orders takes a little longer than it should, that’s the only complaint.

The burgers are very good, I think the multiple staff turnovers has hurt them. Today I went in after the lunch hour. About 1:20pm, I was the only customer ordering, I ordered a burger and a dog, which the cashier yelled out to the cook. I was sitting at the table watching them prepare the buns, after a while they take the dog off and realize they did not cook burgers. Really? One order, and three staff hanging at the grill waiting for a burger and dog and nobody saw there were no burgers cooking? They asked if I wanted to eat the dog first, but my order was to go. So after a long wait I got the order, you think with a sorry and a drink or fry thrown in? No.

Nothing like a good burger. Five guys has been consistently good since I have ever came. This location tends to get busy but everyone gets served pretty quick for the most part. The price isn’t bad when you can get a double cheese burger with unlimited free toppings, fries and a drink for 11 dollars. All you caneat free peanuts is a good call as well. The food is always fresh, the employees are usually down to earth and you don’t feel terrible or have to run to the toilet after eating it. I enjoy coming here and will until I move out of the area again.

Was craving a burger and decided to try 5 Guys again since I wasn’t that impressed the first time.
This trip was MUCH better than my first trip. I think I came up with a winning burger combination and it made all the difference for me! I had a cheeseburger with ketchup, mustard and onions. Amazing!!! Juicy and delicious. I sort of wished I had gotten 2 burgers and cancelled the fries.
I will definitely be back for more burgers!!!

The best place for cheap but high quality burgers. My favorite is the Little Cheeseburger, but they offer you many topping so you can create something spectacular! Great deal, great service, good food.

I’m a Five Guys fan, and I love getting those fresh, juicy burgers with just enough melted cheese sandwiched between two patties and lots of toppings inside a soft bun at any Five Guys location, but at least for now, this Avon location gets extra points because of the Coca-​Cola freestyle machines.
Yes — I can get my handfuls of peanuts and eat my burgers and greasy fries with any soda I can dream up from these space-​age touchscreen machines. Favorites from my last trip include cherry vanilla Mr. Pibb and a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ mix of Peach and Strawberry Fanta. I just did a Coca-​Cola Freestyle search by zip code, and I know I can find those machines at other restaurants and not just Five Guys closer to my house, but the machines at this Five Guys just add to the entire experience.

This is my favorite Five Guys ever.
The burgers are always juicy, fresh, and flavorful and the fries are obscenely portioned and delicious.
If you think Five Guys is equivalent to McDonald’s then you need a mental competency exam.
