Avon Gentle Dentist

User beware! The office is well decorated, staff seems friendly, it’s all a fancy coverup. They do not work well with insurance companies that supposedly are accepted at their office. They do not honor negotiated rates that are listed in the insurance coverage books once they complete the work.
There are plenty of other dentists in the Avon/​Plainfield area, save yourself a huge hassle and headache and go to ANYONE else!

When it came time to find a dentist, Avon Gentle Dentist was a pretty easy choice. It works with our insurance and is close to the house — basically they met two important enough criteria to at least get us here for our initial appointments. We figured we could see how they did and switch to somewhere else if it wasn’t a great experience. Luckily for us, this place is great! Well, for a dentist, I suppose. Getting appointments has been a breeze and they’ve always been on time (none of that annoying 20 minute wait after your appointment time you usually have to endure at doctor’s offices). The hygienists have all been very friendly and thorough, and only one tried to talk to me while her fingers were in my mouth. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m still not a huge fan of a visit to the dentist, but I don’t dread coming here. They do a good job and even send you home with a new toothbrush — what more could you want?

I have dealt with many here in the past for me care and my wife’s care. Everyone I have ever met has been professional and caring. Courtney and Amy have both done my cleanings; they both do a thorough job. Chris has helped with some of the bigger fillings and crown part; she is flawless. Of course all this is done under our dentist, Dr. Anne Wilmore. Dr. Wilmore has taken care of us every step of the way and always helped care for my family as best she can!

Had a dentist appoint today with Dr. Atmar and company and it was a good expirence as per usual.
I’m not much of a chit-​chatter and I couldn’t care less for small talk but my regular hygenist (Courtney, I believe though I could be wrong) seems to have a gift that keeps me comfortable and talking all while poking, proding and scraping.
Dr. Atmar and her associate Dr. Mustard (whom I’ve only dealt with on one occasion) are highly professional and gentle (go figure) on the minor procedures (fillings and extractions), though I’ve never had major work done. The staff also do a fantastic job with my 5 year old who fears many things but not the dentist thanks to these folks.
