Well, aside from the outstanding service we received from our server, Miss Darla, I really don’t have anything else to rave about at Original pancake House. It was just average and when we left we couldn’t even say«that was a good breakfast». If you need a quick place to get some breakfast and aren’t expecting anything that you can recommend to others, this place will work.

I recommend the cheeseburger on a challah bun with home fries The Dutch baby and of course the pancakes. Seriously I had a short stack that I shared it with my mother but I regret not ordering my own just because they were so delicious I wish I had more of them to eat I wish I had ordered them to begin with. I don’t even care about pancakes or like them very much but they were simply amazing and they stayed hot the entire time that we were eating them they were so buttery and fluffy and hot and everything that you would want out of a pancake. I feel ashamed for even talking about pancake this much, I don’t even think a man has made me as excited as these pancakes have. Go. Just GO.

Food and service was excellent. First good sign was we had to wait for a table. I was impressed with the number of employees working together to provide and enjoyable dining experience. Once seated we were promptly greeted by our server. The food was delivered quick and was delicious. Management deserves credit for doing a great job.

What a disappointment use to come to this place before and now it’s terrible. I waited 90 minutes for 2 plates with eggs and pancakes. After complaining all they said was still not ready. Save your money and go somewhere else.

This place stays busy. Maybe to the locals this is as good as it gets but to a out of towner like myself this place is mediocre at best. We came in a party of four and everyone’s food was disappointing. I had the Ranchero eggs l(bland and rubbery) the diced veggies and black beans were the best part. My pancakes weren’t all bad but I definitely won’t be back. Way too busy, forgetful waiter staff and slow service is not my idea of a great experience. No thanks I’ll stick to Ihop.

Long wait for a table. Ridiculously long wait for food that was served one at a time, fifteen minutes apart. What was served was absolutely unappealing and looked like it was prepared by an elementary school student. The omelet arrived floating in grease. We left without eating. Go anywhere else!

I LOVE this place! The food here is good real good! It is not like your IHOP breakfast with fake egg fillers. This is honestly real good homemade food it taste. I have tried several plates here and love all. The Belgium waffle with their homemade whipped cream is amazing. Their is always someone on the floor refilling your coffee. When they say endless they truly mean that. Please go try this place you will not fall disappointed.

It’s a love hate relation with this location. I kinda grew up with OPH, being that it was the first job I had. The breakfast food has always been pretty delish comparing to competitors. However, this was 10 years ago and the food has changed since then(in price and taste). This location I used to visit rather often for breakfast when I lived in Aventura. It was conveniently located from my house and also from the Aventura mall. The most recent visit I had was before heading to the airport– skipped out on breakfast that morning and was craving a benedict. There was no wait since this was in the afternoon and got sat down and taken the order rather quick. However, what started to bring things down was the service. Our waitress was great, she took our order nicely and made sure we had what we needed. But, during our sit in, 2 things happened that stayed in my memory: 1) the constant shout outs and complaining between the waiters from across the restaurant. It was either one, the complaining of who had what tables or the insults of their own customers(this was said more in the back area and was mainly by one waiter there literally saying«ok, my table are on drugs. How stupid can they be?» 2) the constructing of booths or nailing of frames while customers are eating. This was by far a first and I felt it was completely unprofessional of them to have done during customers eatings– the slight dust flying around and maybe landing on customer’s food would not be satisfying. And, besides those incidents, the other thing that was a compliant was the food. For what I’m paying for now of the breakfast items, since its price hikes, the food isn’t that great anymore. The benedict is the food of choice for me there with my usual home fries. The benedict overall tasted ok but bland(might’ve been that I was too hungry that it didn’t bother much) but the home fries were down right burnt– both for my wife and I.

Their pancakes are really good. But don’t go here if you’re starving, you can die before eat!!! Their wait time is 20 to 30 minutes just for seat and order and then another 40 minutes for your food just come out and this in the week days in the weekends forget it about!!! No service at all in this place but honestly once a month I like to go just because their pancakes are the best!

This place is an absolute joke! My husband and I are from PA where we grew up on IHOP. it’s nothing special it’s diner food but when I ask for ketchup and you give me a tiny squirt in a 1oz to go cup and when I ask for SYRUP for my waffle you tell me it’s .99 extra. Are you kidding me!!! Portions are a little small for the price. Eggs Benedict had 1 thin slice of Canadian bacon and was not very good for 10 $. Waffle was dry, and thanks to me spending .99 I got to use syrup. Go somewhere else. This place is a waste and not like other chains. It’s cheap and service is not so good. COFFEESUCKS like drinking flavored water

This is a solid place if you’re looking for a good breakfast, but be prepared to wait! My dad and I came here on a Saturday around 11AM. We were told that there was a 20 minute wait so we found an open space in the tiny holding area in front of the doors where many other people were already waiting. The restaurant itself is small and there is really no space for people to wait. As a result, you end up cluttered in one area like cattle. After 20 minutes, we were given a table. The place was very busy and it take about 10 – 15 minutes before our waitress came to take our food order. In the meantime, who I assume was a manager, came to ask us what we wanted to drink. You can tell that they were at least attempting to stay on top of providing good service, but it was just way too busy for the waitress to keep up with all her tables. The food itself came out pretty quickly after our order was placed. I had the Farmer’s Stand buttermilk pancakes. I don’t know how many pancakes were on the plate, but it seemed like there were at least 6 enormous pancakes. They were topped with fresh strawberries, bananas, blueberries and blackberries. The strawberry jam/syrup that came on the side was absolutely delicious. My one complaint would be that there were so many pancakes and such little space on the plate that it was difficult to evenly apply the butter and syrup. I think they should bring out an extra plate with meals like this. We also ordered a plate of Canadian bacon for the table. It came with 4 – 5 pieces and they were so, so good! It seems like the crowd starting to die off around noon so maybe that’s a better time to come. The servers were overwhelmed, but nice and the food was good. There’s nothing particularly unique about the food though and the atmosphere is very cramped and somewhat loud. Overall though, I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a nice, hearty breakfast.

It’s constantly been a love hate relationship with this place… I love the food, I hate the service. You could be out of coffee forever in this place and no one on the staff will make eye contact. Worst yet, you never see your server. You want to call John Walsh and file a missing person alert I don’t get it. Plenty of staff running around… why not just have someone walk around w coffee?

Food was good, the wait wasn’t. Server was very nice but the screeching kids ruined it, there were at least 6 of them screeching in unison.

This is by far the best location I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to 2 other locations… Both in broward. The service at this location I can honestly say is the best. Idk if it’s the training or if they just do a great job recruiting top talent but I’ve never been disappointed at this location. The food is what makes this place so good. Fresh fruit, coffee and orange juice. I always eat the strawberry waffles and I’ve never been disappointed. Meat is always juicy and the coffee goes great with whatever you are eating. I stopped going to IHOP and Denny’s because this location had such great food and service that those other places couldn’t match up and it felt like I was wasting my money. This place is a tad bit pricier compared to IHOP and Denny’s but if you are going to the Aventura location then it’s definitely worth it. Going to any other location then idk… Depends. Hope this review helps.

Wow, have times changed. Regrettably, this place has gone straight downhill, perhaps due to complacency as it’s the only true game in town. After sitting at our table for 40 minutes waiting for food, the orders came out wrong, and, apparently, my toast was«stolen» by another server. One of my son’s chocolate chip pancakes(which were served late as the server forgot them) had 5 chips on it. I love the OPH, but will, from now on, continue to patronize the one on 441 and Southern only. Pretty unfortunate to see what’s going on here.

We were looking for a quick breakfast and this place filled that void. We went in on a random Thursday morning, and we were avoided for about 15 minutes, as I sat there smiling at every waitress who went by. It is apparent that nobody told the waitress we were«her table» or what not, and a very nice young lady stopped by and apologized and asked if it was ok to take our order. Once she did, she brought drinks but then our«real» waitress appeared and she says sorry, she is going to take care of you. OK– as long as I get food! HA! I ordered the pancakes(pumpkin) although I tasted ZERO pumpkin. The coffee was delish and fresh. My husband got eggs, hash, grits and sausage and said all of it was great. The service was not too hot, but overall the food was good so I gave it 3 stars.

This place has yummy pancakes and waffles, even the oven baked omelettes are nice. The only thing is that the place inside feels really sad and has no cozyniess. We go here for a quick breakfast and can’t wait to get out. Even the presentation of the plates is clumsy, and I understand this is a cheap breakfast place but no one would have to feel like leaving a place where they’re eating. It is also luck that you will get served nicely, they have a few servers that make you want to not tip at all. This would be so much better and nicer if this things were addressed, I guess they are satisfied with the amount of clientele but I’m sure if another breakfast place opens near they will not be as visited for sure.
