Gigi’s Cafe

It was honestly just okay. I didnt get anything but the raspberry soft serve. which was good… i asked the waitress for the large portion of the soft serve and she gave me the small. Then i again i asked her for the large… she still gave me a small. Her reason was that the large only comes in a bowl and you cant take it to go. Yet she never asked if i wanted tobstay or go she just assumed i was gonna grab and go. its funny how they have tiny ice cream cones but not standard sizes. For the inconvenience of giving me the incorrect sized cones… she didnt up charging me. Also my friend ordered what appeared to be a peach gelato… she had to send it back since it tasted nothing like peach.

Hmm, I went to see what tbe buzz is all about as this place is always full.
The location is excellent, behind the mall of midtown, with plenty of places to park on your own if you wish.
The food was good. We ordered 4 dishes: the eggplant with yogurt, the brussel sprouts and the meatloaf (although it was not actually meatloaf) were delicious. The tuna sashimi was nothing special.
Actually my problem was with the inside… Gigi’s has one of the worst acoustics setups I have seen in a long time. Very hard to talk and I found myself screaming to be heard throughout the evening. The tables were all very close together, which doesn’t help.
I did not like the service either. The waiter would come to our table and constantly interrupt us (maybe she couldn’t even tell we were talking because of the noise).
In summary, I went there, saw what is all about, but unless I crave for that incredible eggplant with yogurt, I don’t plan to return.

We had planned a lovely graduation brunch for our Highschool senior. I called several times to make sure their fondant cake desert would come out at the end saying congrats on the plate etc. It wasn’t even in the computer. The waiter had no clue what I was talking about. I asked for a specific kind of table and they had the wrong kind. It was as if I never called at all. As if I was just a walk in. The waiter was great but we should have had more attention. They had this big private party in the next room and just because we weren’t as big a group we were not special enough. They even got my name wrong on the reservation. Give me a break. We have frequented there many times and thought for sure it would be a great venue for family and friends. I can’t get this day back!!!

The little café with huge heart. Love this place. Try Branzino, it is Bellissimo. Waiters are nice, have very affordable breakfast menu. And chief is also so nice, she comes and asks about the food, what you like what you don’t. The reason I dove give 5 stars is only because they are not open on Saturday nights because of religious days

This restaraunt is in a nice location, however the food is overpriced and service was terrible.
I had to constantly find waiter and ask for utensils, drinks
When I approached the manager, he was extremely rude.
We are not returning here

I live local I use to go there a lot with the previous owners I don’t know what happened here no service,
I went there on a Saturday night as I approached the place there was a very close friend of mine a couple who always goes out to eat almost on a daily basis as I walk the restaurant he says good luck I thought it was sarcastic I waited 15 minutes until someone came over to me even say hello I asked how much longer for a table I do understand its season and I do understand its Saturday night the guy answered with an attitude” do you think I have a GG in my head” first of all I don’t know what a GG is from there I looked around I saw every table was not busted /​Clean there were not that many people actually sitting so we decided to go to Mozart café when I arrived then I took my name I said would you mind waiting at least 10 minutes within 8 minutes I have a seat amazing service delicious food so as far as I’m concerned this place is off my list

Great pizza — but served slightly on the cool side…$ 16 for a 12″ pizza with peppers — & shouldn’t the staff be prepared to answer questions about taking orders for take out?

This is the worst excuse for a restaurant I have ever been to.
The sign on the front says «café» and below that it says «dairy restaurant».
We stopped in for breakfast. They had no coffee. So i asked for milk. They had no milk.
I ordered an omelet which arrived with French fries cause they ran out of home fries.
I had to ask for the toast which was supposed to
Come with the omelet and he came back with 1 slice of toast… No butter.
My girlfriend ordered sunny side up eggs which came with the yolks cooked to the texture of styrofoam.
Never again. The good news is the entire shopping center looks like it is going out of business do others may soon be spared a visit to this house of dog food.

Such bad service! And the water had a bug in it. the food was subpar so I wouldn’t recommend it.

I don’t like posting 1 star reviews, but sometimes the truth hurts.
The food was actually pretty good. That’s what earns the star.
The service was horrible. I won’t go into detail, but this was worse than your typical «we’re kosher so we don’t have to have good service» that I’ve seen.
But the food, when it finally arrived, was actually good.

I dont often travel in this area or would i have ever known about this if it wasn’t for an early afternoon boat ride. We searched for the bagel shop but found this place.
I ordered a breakfast burrito, it was supposed to be hot pressed, instead it was soft and soggy. They were stingy on the fires and plus it was those «extra» crispy type that I hate. The service was slow but they were nice. If im in the area again, I would try the busier place a few doors away.

Kosher dairy restaurant with good service and a pretty diverse menu. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great people watching in the outdoor mall in which it’s located.

Gigi’s is the best. Great food, excellent service. Best Pizza in town. I highly recommend them.

Not typical from what i hear but the service was not good!

$ 5 for a glass of orange juice. Not freshly squeezed; plain bottled from concentrate OJ.
$ 12.50 for 2 eggs and a side of home fries. Those prices are 3−4x the prices at places with friendlier service and higher quality food.
I don’t think it’s fair to hit your patrons with a kosher tax for non-​meat items.

Such a great experience. My server was attentive, food was amazing and came out in a timely manner. Killer experience!

Stopped by yesterday for lunch and ended up eating so much I needed a nap afterwards! The atmosphere was quite because Tropical Storm Isaac was still causing some crappy weather. The service was quick and on point.
Lunch:
Roasted Pork Bun=Tasty!
Cheeseburger topped with a poached egg=AMAZING! (But couldn’t find it listed on the online menu-​maybe it was special)
Rocky Road Bread Budding=To die for. (And bread pudding always confuses me on why its nothing like PUDDING)
Had a great time with good company!

I found one! A Kosher restaurant that I actually enjoyed and want to come back to! I personally do not keep kosher, but often dine with people who do. Gigi’s is a place that I am looking forward to coming back to soon… with or without my Kosher peeps!
We were a party of 16, and the varied menu managed to please every single one of us. There were the fish lovers, the sushi freaks, the Italian fans, and of course, the difficult-​to-​please teens.
Let me start by telling you about the sushi. Fresh, inventive, beautifully presented rolls. Many to choose from. Tuna tataki was one of the best I’ve ever had.
I stuck to the sushi, and only took a bite of the pizza and the ziti, both of which were good. Everyone at the table was happy with their selection, and absolutely nothing got sent back or complained about. 16 people! Pretty darn good!
Tip: bring a couple of friends so that you can share and try a bunch of items, because deciding will not be easy.

Falafels that are better than the ones in Israel! The ingredients are SO fresh. The fries aren’t too greasy or salty. The restaurant itself is very clean and inviting. Great indoor space and outdoor seating. Falafel sandwich with french fries for less than $ 10. Delicious, fresh and clean. I’ll be back.

Gigi’s Café has a great view over the water, good food and decent service. Try to eat their fresh baked goods. That’s their specialty.
