3.5−4 stars. Very surprised by this Chinese takeout place in the Austin airport. There’s a selection of the usual fusion dishes(general tso’s, spicy beef, etc.) and fresh fruit that you can grab yourself and it all gets priced by weight. I usually stray away because I always feel bloated and greased out by takeout style Chinese food, but decided to give this place a shot because it was the best dinner option in the vicinity. Tried the spicy beef and chicken-both were actually very tasty and not too inundated with sauce or oil! Flavoring was more authentic than usual and I also enjoyed the fruit. Pricing was I thought it was a tad bit expensive, but not unexpected for airport fare. Now I have a great go-to in the Austin airport!

Biggest waste of money I’ve ever spent. Horrible quality food and overpriced more so than any of the other choices in the airport. Don’t waste your time and your money here. Absolutely awful.

Ordered delivery. Mapo tofu came out amazing but the soup was nothing but grease. Inedible and had to throw it away.

This review is for breakfast only. Eat here if you have some time. Unlike other vendors, They make everything made to order. Nothing sitting under a heat lamp. The Migas Taco was on point! I was really surprised. Taco was filled with jalapeños, tomatoes, cheese, and the crushed tortillas were deep fried, and crunchy– not just tortilla chips from a bag. All sorts of airport and airline employees were eating here– so that’s a good sign. Total breakfast cost was $ 6.79 for a taco, hash brown, and large bottled water. Pretty cheap for the airport:)

I guess everyone has their own opinions. I have eaten here before. The 1st time I got the food for 6.99 a pound and with a drink that came out to over 12 bucks! Airport food is always highway robbery, since they charge a lot! This Sunday I opted for the Genral Tso’s chicken, they made it fresh to order, it was piping hot, good, rice was blah, the broccoli was good. The water was like 2.99 so I ended up paying over 12 again. Next time I’ll just buy the food by the pound and not get rice and limit my options. Anyways, don’t the rice or ribs, they weigh a lot and you will pay a lot!

I came to this establishment to order food, as it is touted as one of the best. The front door person was having a casual conversation on the phone while i waited to be helped. She didn’t really seem enthused to be there, or help me. They have a happy hour menu, but won’t let you order to go off of it during happy hour. I’m sorry but I don’t live near here, i live over an hour away. Last time visiting this place.

GREAT for airport food. Buffett. Fresh. Buy by the pound. Salad and tradition Chinese offerings. Had chicken and veggies. Very fresh and filling. $ 6.99/lb. cost us $ 23 for 2 big meals. Great find!

This was horrible. First off the food was rough looking but I thought meh Chinese food how bad can it be? I picked out dumplings, chicken and broccoli, grapes, and general tso’s chicken. The food was horrible and cold by the time I got back across the the aisle to terminal 7! My toddler even refused much of the food that I had bought to share with her. She did like the noodles though. But the worst part is that they tried to write my debit card number. When I asked why they said their machine was down and they had to. I alerted them to this illegal and unscrupulous practice and he got defensive. Upon looking over the counter I saw that he had a page in a spiral notebook filled with card numbers, expiration dates, and cvn numbers in view of all customers. Finally I handed him the cash I had(admittedly cutting him short) and walked out.

Avoid! The chicken is dry and very old. I guess I should have known when you order by the pound it’s not going to be great.

Make your own combo for $ 6.99/lb. Somehow I managed to get 1.93 lb which was HALF of what I would normally get for takeout. I suppose that jumbo piece of cauliflower and those 2 jumbo pieces of broccoli that were steamed and not lathered in sauce took me over the edge. The chicken that came with the string beans was good, but the rest was crazy greasy. The cashier was rude as hell when I asked her if they accepted AMEX and actually looked over my hand at my CC slip to see if I gave her a tip. Ninja please. I will not be coming back for $ 14 worth of greasy overpriced food.

Was not impressed, paying by the pound and most offerings heavy with oil was not appealing.

When you’re short on time and leaving on vacation, Grab Chinese at this convenient location. My food was burnt and the flavors were off, But if you’re hungry you can eat it without a single cough. You can pay for a combo platter(~$ 8 range) or pay $ 6.99 a pound. I opted for the latter. Got General Tso’s chicken(burnt), Sweet & Sour chicken(meh), fried rice(cardboard taste), and a crab Rangoon(pretty darn good). I also got an egg roll but they made me pay for that separately. My poundage came to 0.66, so I was able to buy lunch for under $ 7 with no drink. Not bad for an airport. The lady doing the cooking and cash register work was nice. OK option in a pinch.

$ 6.99 per pound… not sure exactly what that would come to, but it sounded good. I filled up my plate with about half of what I would get from a normal take out place for lunch. My total was over $ 9. I was pretty shocked! What shocked me even more was that the woman in front of me had hers weigh the EXACT amount. What a coincidence??? Now for the food… the lo mein was pretty bland and noodles kind of mushy. The rice had a ton of carrots in it. The veggies were tasty and cooked almost perfectly. They could have used a smaller cut. I struggled trying to fit the broccoli in my mouth. I’m sure it was quite the sight for onlookers. The beef was really tender and had a good flavor. I added some spicy sauce on it and that made it even better. The chicken with broccoli was good as well.

The concept what getting whatever you want is a really good idea and the price per pound even if a bit high is not as much as a put off as the food it self. Just don’t let wok n roll happen to you — it’ll ruin any acquired taste you’ve developed for American-Chinese for ever.

You can make your own combo here which is neat, never seen that before at an airport restaurant. The spread was decent, there was a salad bar including fruit and then there are standard Chinese options. The food was just OK but they get credit for being unique.

The price is deceiving. $ 6.99/lb for whatever you can pile into your styrofoam container: fresh veggies, stir fry, battered meat bits with sauce, noodles, fried rice, fried rolls, whatever… We weren’t that hungry so we filled up our container with a slightly smaller portion than what one person would get for a 2-item entrée at Panda Express and our bill came up to $ 20. HUH!!! What we swallowed: SWEETANDSOURCHICKEN/GENERAL TSAOCHICKEN: These were both decent. Big bits of chicken(Definitely bigger than bite size) but it wasn’t dry. The skins were still a bit crispy and the sauce on both were decent and not overly sauced out. STEAMEDBROCCOLI: You can’t really mess up steamed broccoli, can you? FRIEDSOMETHINGTHATLOOKEDLIKE A WONTONBUTHADSOMETYPEOFCREAMCHEESEINTHEMIDDLE: Yuck. FRIEDRICE: No flavor but was yellow which made me wonder what spice makes it turn yellow like that? Wished we got a burrito instead

Clean and not too bad of a gouge for mall style Chinese food at the airport. The fresh iced tea and the fresh sliced lemons were a nice surprise, though. About the quality of Panda Express, but it worked for me while waiting for a flight at the airport.
