Welcome back to the 80’s! Awesome wood paneling, décor from the hair band days and a nasty snack bar=80’s nostalgia at it’s best. I’m not a bowler at heart, I came to indulge a friend but I loved every second of revisiting my childhood. Yay!

This is just like a regular ol’ bowling alley, but I found a few things here that made me a notch happier than usual! First, you are able to pay by the game, which was really nice with 6 people. You never know how long you are going to take with that many, and it ended up being a better deal. The other was that they had both NFL games on on all the TVs! Thank you Westgate for letting me celebrate a birthday while not missing the Bronco’s game, I won’t forget it :) I was also able to easily find a ball with holes for my big fat thumb. I always have a hard time finding one and there were several I could have used. Also, even on a Sunday afternoon, when it was packed, we only waited for less than 10 minutes. Awesome! Overall, it was a good experience. I’ve been to worse bowling alleys for sure, and if this was in my neck of the woods I’d choose it over others!

This is the first time I have been to a real bowling alley in quite some time. I live in DC and the closest lanes to us are a Lucky Strike. I grew up in the alley with my brother and sister as our parents played in their league and it is always nice to walk into a nice place like this one. Felt like I was home again. Every single house ball seemed brand new. No chips or scars on any of the balls and the lanes were immaculate. Walked away with a 179. I’ll take it. We ordered a large pizza from the café and it was out in 10 minutes and was actually rather tasty. The service was friendly and the prices(for the food and bowling) were extremely reasonable. Can’t wait to visit again…

We love West Gate lanes!!! Just went to Evo bowling what a joke(we live around the corner from it) we’ll be driving the 30 mins next time. Everything about WGL is better than evo.

Great staff and help if needed. The place overall needs a facelift and some updating. The bathrooms need extra sanitizer and space because it’s very confined

3 stars for the cheap beer. would give it a one star for the grill CiCi’s. Sneak you own snacks in, or use the vending machines!

People here are friendly, but prices are on the high side, and the value just isnt there. Dart bowl is so much cheaper. There arent other ways to get a discount, or rewards for frequent bowlers. Snack bar is just okay.

Rolling the ROCK! Was never so much fun! Great place! West gate is a great bowling alley. You will find this as fun for the whole family! Plenty of leagues and staff that are friendly and helpful! I would say don’t go here only to be selfish as I would love to keep this place all to myself! Date night, family night or just need to get in out of the rain and cold… Be brave and cause it’s okay to roll by yourself!

Pretty pricey in my opinion. Pretty old place. Pretty fun time. The tv screens are about the only thing updated here, the rest is pretty ghetto, but is functional. I prefer something like Top Golf as it is pretty much the same price and is much more upscale and cleaner. 45 minute wait on a Saturday night for those wondering.

Bowling is like any other place but they are well kept. The employees are helpful and friendly. The lounge is a good place to just kick back and relax if you are not bowling. They always have some sports on the TV and drinks are reasonable in price and size. The snack bar is great and I usually get the burgers. If you are looking for something special and a place with the WOW effect, this is not the place. This is a place to come and bowl with friends and have a good time.

As far as the alley itself, nothing sets it apart from other alleys. A bowling alley is a bowling alley. The place is fairly clean and staff is nice, but there isn’t anything special about here. The music selection on a Friday night was all over the place but kind of entertaining because of that. So cosmic bowling goes till 2 am on a Fri night/Sat morning and they want to start throwing people out at 145. However, they already turned the lights on at 115 and reminded us repeatedly that closing time was fast approaching. I understand that you want your shift to end, but hey we are paying customers so please let us enjoy our evening until it is really time to go. I guess if we hit this place up again on a weekend, we just have to start our night earlier…

«I think we should steal these shoes.» «I know, right? I could get away with wearing these on a daily basis», yes I have quickly turned 13 in her presence. She does this to me. «You look good in those.» «So do you», let’s be honest here, she looks fantastic all the time. In fact, the next day, when I admit that I looked at her ass at least twenty times that night during bowling, she says: «That’s a shame because I was up there at least 40 times.» Damn it. These are bowling memories. They happen. Here is the odd thing. They don’t happen at these«throw back» wanna be bowling alleys. They don’t happen over cocktails at a bowling alley with a fancy name. They happen at an alley exactly like Westgate Lanes. A place where you can smell the fried food permeating the air. Not some appetizer with«quail» in it. Give me cheap beer, a scarred up bowling ball, and her. Life will be just fine. Screw it, may I have just her?

Extremely 90’s bowling alley-ey… complete with outdated structure, décor, a ceiling Frodo could touch flat-footed, music and cafeteria food. I have never had fries that are less salted or more crinkle cut than theirs. Perfection. Westgate lanes, for me, is a trip back to Junior High outings and to uncomfortable family get-togethers in a town so small our movies still cost $ 4.00 — the alternatives to which are either bowling or watching old people burn their tongues on coffee at the Whataburger. No, I don’t know where your cat is or why your son won’t call, Sir… I love that Westgate is very family friendly. The place is always full of kiddos enjoying some family game time with their folks. We took our three year old and she totally rocked it… and maybe dented the floor. But like her mom, damage or not, she looked adorable doing it. $ 3.00 domestics is always happy for me, and I didn’t see that being advertised as a Happy Hour price. So that’s nice. I also totally won two of the games we played AND totally got a turkey. So while that awesomeness can only be attributed to Yours Truly, I’ll throw a nod to Westgate Lanes for being part of that benchmark in my life. *kisses fist and points to the heavens* As far as their lanes — 19 was having some technical difficulties that were immediately addressed by staff. Otherwise, they’re well tended, slick, and unless a toddler has rolled a ball down them at the most god forsaken negative speed possible, they seem extremely even. Staff, by the way, is very considerate and may even appear hovering above your shoulder like some sort of bowling alley leprechaun to chuckle at your kid for sticking the ball between the gutter and the runner AGAIN before you have even noticed enough yourself to tell your kid what a disappointment they are. God, my kid sucks at bowling. Do they get better at things after 3? They have tons of lanes, cheap drinks, horrible food, and exactly the environment you remember in bowling alleys as a kid minus indoor smoking. If you’re prissy about bowling(whatever the hell that means) then maybe go to Main Event… but for me, location, cost and overall environment — I I dig it.
