Other than four years of eating at the Wendy’s in UT’s West Mall or in Jester, or the rare times coworkers took me to Wendy’s near Highland Mall, I never loved Wendy’s until this one. My friend mentioned she likes their chili so I went on a cold day. There was Dido playing softly in the background, CNBC on the TV above the fireplace, and grass on frosted panels around the dining area – just the most heavenly fast-food experience you can imagine. Their chili was pretty good and until this day, I still stop in for chili on cold days. They also have an equivalent to McDonald’s «Dollar Menu & More» with pretty compelling deals. Their dining room is only open until 10 pm. This Wendy’s is set in the chaotic HEB parking lot but has its own little curbed off parking area. Be careful driving onto the Mopac frontage road since there are a lot of fast-moving cars who’ve just exited the freeway wanting to turn right onto Parmer.

I HAD to come here because the chick fil a next door closed prematurely at 8:30PM. Their prices aren’t bad, but they are slow and their servers are less than friendly. Meh.

Finally decided to write a review. They consistently get orders wrong in the drive through to the point where now it almost seems like they are doing it on purpose. How do you mistake a strawberry salad for a BBQ ranch salad. It showed up on the screen correctly. Where did you go wrong? How do you put«no tomato no ketchup» on BOTH sandwiches on the screen yet put them on the sandwiches anyway.(allergies to tomato. thanks). Does spicy chicken sandwich suddenly translate to fish fillet? I guess it does. My friend has a service dog that can get the right drinks and food out of the fridge for her on command. The competency at this location is sorrowful. Done going here after today’s debacle. Should have saved money on the remodel and spent it on better hiring managers.

Recently went through the drive through for lunch. I was starving after working from the crack of dawn. I decided to go to Wendy’s because I wanted their chili, a good option for less calories. However, they totally forgot my husband’s cheeseburger. I called when I got back home and they said I could come back for it… I don’t really care about the couple bucks, it’s more the really annoying inconvenience. I thought maybe they’d offer me a coupon at least. They also forgot the ketchup & chili spice that I asked for… that’s annoying but at least I can still eat.

This location has had very nice warm food and friendly customer service. I have only had one bad experience here, but I will be coming back for a late night craving!

I was on my way back from a doctor’s appointment and wanted to grab lunch. I was the only one in the drive thru when I was told by a woman with a thick accent to please wait. I waited for almost 5 minutes and was about to leave when she came back to take my order. She was very nice and professional. The one thing I can never figure out is if you have someone who has a thick accent, why would have them work the drive thru? I understand that everyone needs a job and might be the luck of the draw that she was working the windows. It would be more efficient for the drive thru if you could have someone who can speak clearly. I get to the window and my food was ready, which was nice. The fries were soggy and the chicken sandwich I got was hot, but had too much ranch sauce where it went everywhere as I took a bite. You figure if I am going to pay over $ 7 for a meal, it should not look like it came from the kids menu. I would have given them more stars if they did not make me wait with no one else in line and the woman working the drive thru was not so hard to understand.

Atmosphere Surprisingly nice. I normally avoid Wendy’s like the plague but decided to pop into this one after it’s recent remodel. It’s very nice and clean inside, almost cozy. Very contemporary design. Menus are now on screens. Chairs were very comfortable and tables were nice. I can honestly say it’s the«nicest» fast food restaurant I’ve walked into so far. Service As non-existent as ever, take your order and give you your order, voila. Food Quite good, we both got the special. He got the bacon cheeseburger on ciabatta bread and I got a chicken sandwich. Both were very good as were the fries. Price Cheap. Not McDonalds cheap but still cheap. Overall Experience here was actually quite good. I may even pop in again at some point as this experience was hands down the best experience I’ve had at a Wendy’s.

The new remodel is pretty swanky. It’s more like the lobby of a medium-fancy hotel than what you’d think of as a Wendy’s. There’s even some sort of gas fireplace, which will be really bizarre when it’s super hot for half the year. But the food here doesn’t wow me. I thought I used to like Wendy’s. Maybe as a boy’s palate develops(Oh you know, Marge, it’s a time in a young boy’s life when … uh …) The WiFi does work but it’s very slow and requires login antics.(Provided by Boingo like at the Airport … why attach your name to such sucky WiFi?) At least they have those Coke machines with like 70 different flavors of Fanta. Before this remodel the 1985-era restaurant made you ask the counter people to refill your Fanta. I don’t understand complaints about the parking. It’s right next to a huge parking lot for HEB which is often mostly full, but never totally. The real tricky part is getting on Mopac southbound(easier to go north to Scofield Ridge and use the U-Turn lane) or Parmer Lane westbound or almost anywhere at all from there during heavy traffic. I have solved it but I will keep that secret to myself(you drive around the back of the whole shopping mall starting at Baskin Robbins).

I have missed this Wendy’s while it underwent remodeling, but it looks beautiful, the food was great, and the service was amazing.

Who doesn’t love Wendy’s! This one however is in a prime location which means parking sucks! I would hate to come during the lunch rush. Still, the staff is nice and they have never gotten my order wrong.

Parking here is terrible, drive thru line backs up frequently during lunch, and lots of cars from Chick Fil A next door. Service is quick, but the food quality is low. You get what you pay for since the it is really cheap. I still don’t understand why the spicey nuggets are $ 1, but the regular nuggets are more $. First World Problems.

My job requires me to eat out everyday for lunch(truck driver) today I decided to stop at this particular Wendy’s at 12:38pm ordered a baconator combo which was listed at $ 5.38 on their board, when i made my order it came out to $ 7.79,(asked for receipt) that was a problem on its own at least two minutes for the guy to figure that out. The receipt was surprisingly easy to read baconator combo $ 6.20 Lg. drink .99 Tax .60 so I made a foolish attempt to explain to the guy that they mischarged me .82 on the combo $ 6.20 vs $ 5.38 I upsized that was the .99. No shit I might as well been trying to explain the theory of realativity to this dude, he gets upset and called a manager when I tried to explain this cat tells me where you getting this $ 5.38 from I pointed to the menu above his head, without hesitation he looks and says«well the boards wrong» that was it! no im sorry sir, no we made a mistake, nothing that was it. I would of took 10 min. out of my day to punch the s++t out of the guy but I care about being on time for my customers, so I just took my bag and left, but you know how shit eats at you all day for somthing miniscule? I went back just to get the name of this manager off his tag but he didn’t have one on just his little light blue shirt with some dark blue sweater over it short mexican dude. 20 years on the road first complaint ever online take it for what its worth.

I frequent this Wendy’s probably once every week or so. It’s a convenient go-between from my office to Fry’s on my lunch hour. It’s a perfectly adequate Wendy’s. that is to say that the staff is friendly, the place is clean and the food is in line with expectations. It’s a Wendy’s afterall. So, while I wouldn’t quite recommend it for date night or a rehearsal dinner, it’s plenty acceptable for grabbing a quick lunch or dinner on your way somewhere else. BR
