In the Walgreens store I had an okay experience, but afterwards I was disgusted by them. In a nutshell, after making my purchase I left the Walgreens(about 9p) and went to the neighboring Abel’s to hear the live music. Before I got to Abel’s I got a call on my cell phone and sat down to talk with the person(at this point I was technically on Abel’s North property sitting in the parking lot). However, for whatever reason, the staff at Walgreens called the cops on me for being a «suspected vagrant.» This was news to me, as I am clean-cut and I was dressed in an untorn t-shirt and shorts, which were also fairly new. So, I was sitting in the Abel’s parking lot when a cop cruiser pulled up to me and politely told me that Walgreens was thinking that I was going«to setup camp» outside their store(implying I was homeless). After giving me the once over the cop said«Hmmm, this is strange to me too, you don’t look to be overly intoxicated or down-and-out; Can you just do me a favor and not go back to the Walgreens?» I happily agreed and the police left without further incident. I now am going to contact their corporate office and complain that I am not a vagrant and am gainfully employed at my full-time job. Again, I don’t look anything like a «bum,» so I’m not sure why I got hounded by them. Nonetheless, I won’t be returning to this Walgreens, or probably any others. Their prices usually suck and I can get better at my local HEB or CVS.

I’ve been in a lot of Walgreens stores, but I have NEVER gotten such friendly service before! The employees were helpful and actually seemed to like working there! I will be back!

This is a typical drug store with prices that are usually higher than a local grocery store for most items but it is convenient. One big plus for this store is that they often run Blue Bell ice cream on sale for 2/$ 8. This is great price and other Walgreen’s have it 2/$ 9. We always stock up when they are having it on sale.

I prefer this Walgreens to most other drug stores in the area because of the pharmacists. They are both always happy and down to Earth.

I’m a CVS girl through and through. The one right by my house. They have a great rewards program, a fantastic selection of products which are usually on sale once a month and it’s clean. Reviewing a Walgreens is sort of ridiculous. No one cares. Except you should! This particular Walgreens was dirty. The merchandise was scattered everywhere, including on the ground. They were missing quite a few main stream items like Gain laundry detergent. Everyone sells Gain! The part that bothered me the most was the lack of cleanliness though. If I’m paying a premium($ 8.99 for a tiny Tide bottle) I would like for it to be clean! It literally had dust all over it. You know, I really don’t care, it’s a Walgreens. It just had that Dollar Store feeling. Except nothing was a dollar. And it was dirty. And things were on the floor! Two stars for Cameron who works as a cashier and has a cute smiling picture next to him with his«weekly picks». Hold on to Cam Walgreens, he’s all you’ve got!

I know, why review Walgreens, right? Well, it’s because this one rocks. The two pharmacisits are both really nice and smiley(though there used to be a mean assistant lady, but she seems gone now), the check out people are always friendly(but too young, ½ of them can’t check out people with alcohol), and the selection of beer, wine, and stupid knick-knacks is never-ending. Just wish this one was 24 hours. I hate having to go to Duval/183 for prescriptions at 2am.

I’ve found myself going to walgreens more and more often for the little things that I would normally pick up at the HEB or a conv. store. Last week I stopped in for some Advil(well their store version) and at the checkout the lady was kind enough to remind me that they were buy one get one free. Rock on! I wouldnt have known anything about it, but thats great customer service. Today I stopped in for a 2 litre bottle of soda and it was 1.20(including tax) — would have easily paid that for one of the little bottles at a conv. store. I’ve become a fan… given that there are like 4 of them in a ½ mile radius(literally) — Im guessing other people are fans too.
