I ate at the downtown location in the parking lot at the corner of 4th and Congress. The car is easy to miss but thankfully I found it backed up to the adjacent building. Not having eaten at «brick and mortar» location, I can only review this for the mobile car situation. I found it to be quite good and like all the veggies you can put on it — corn, cabbage, cucumbers, red onions, lettuce, tomoato — and the various sauces they add. You can request spicy or not spicy. I wasn’t sure what their version of spicy was, so I sampled a taste of the red sauce. In the end, I ordered mine somewhere in the middle of spicy and not spicy. The sauces were added with just the right amount to give some taste without drowning in sauce. I have tried the beef/lamb mixture but have the chicken version to try tomorrow. Oh, and contrary to what others have said, my kebap seemed to be packed quite full. I will visit this place again.

I would recommend you go to their actual storefronts, as this one doesn’t have the size, obviously, to produce and offer the largest amount of food in a comfortable setting. When I ate at the brick and mortar, they gladly stuffed my doner kebap to the seams. This little outpost deserves a drop, solely for inconvenience. There are a few options to go for: veggie, lamb and beef, and chicken. In my opinion, the red protein is a little chewy, so I actually prefer the non-meat goodness here. Yes, that is certainly heresy in the realm of gyros and Mediterranean wraps. So be it, you close minded fools. This Smartcar cranking out the kebaps that are found near the UT campus does a fine job in combining innovation with a good, convenient food item, but I honestly could have done without VERTS jumping on the food cart bandwagon. I mean… can’t you just offer your good sauces and sandwiches at a brick and mortar. Don’t be a conformist, VERTS. Too late.

I’ve eaten at the Verts Smart Car downtown and the one on the drag by Dean Keeton. The Verts on the drags over the moon awesome, the pop-up cars… not so much. Go to one of their actual locations.

Billing itself as the«smallest trailer» in austin and operating out of a smart car I had to check out what this place was all about. I enjoyed my Kebap, I got the lamb and beef mix, with a couple of different yogurt sauces and then they«ran it through the garden» adding a smattering of veggies. The bread was tasty and dense yet not overly heavy it was served in a pocket that was similar to a pita. I will definitely check it out again, but will probably ask for lighter yogurt sauce, I’m not to keen on that yogurty after taste with this, with Mediterranean food, with regular yogurt, etc.
