So happy to have found this little hole in the wall Thai place! The food is delicious, super cheap, and huge portions!!! I love the beef pad Thai! It doesn’t taste fishy at all like some places taste like! The service is outstanding as well… Everyone is super courteous!

I’m not sure what happened. We got seated quickly and waited on promptly. My coworkers beef pad Thai looked damn good but something was off. My seasame chicken looked unappealing and weird. The best part of my meal was the rice, water, eggroll and salad. My coworkers dish was fine by him but I wasn’t happy. Firstly the chicken was fried crispy. Secondly the sauce was a little sour and not good. Lastly my food was barely warm. I would have been comfortable feeding it ro my 2 year old niece without having to worry about it being to hot. I informed the waiter and said it was as if my food had been sitting in the window. His response was«oh no that couldn’t be possible». Everyone else around me had steam coming off their dishes but not me. I loathe returning food because I’ve worked on restaurants and know what people do. They must have nuked my food and brought it back. I ate some of it and left the rest. Perhaps it wasn’t the best meal to order. Three stars but really 2.5 and that for the service of the lady who took over waiting on us. I’m going to say tuk tuk that was yuck yuck.

So good! My husband and I love Thai food but we had not found a place in the Austin area that was really good. We decided to try this place today, it doesn’t look like it would be the best based on atmosphere, but the food was DELICIOUS! The service was wonderful too. Food came quick. Great prices. We don’t live near it, but we will be back for sure!

This was a hard review to write because I love the food… pineapple curry is awesome… I would suggest pick up versus delivery or place your order 2 hours before you want to eat… I have tried the deliver numerous times and even on a weekday it’s an hour and a half… but food is pretty great!

Green Curry is yummy. I ordered 4⁄5 spicy level and was very pleased :) Warning my husband ordered his pad kee mew with 5⁄5 spicy and he was in the bathroom the whole next morning! Lol The food is good but not amazing. Delivery is over an hour but for such a great price I will probably order again.

Was told about this hole in the wall Thai food place. It didn’t disappoint. The place was a little small and old but you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. I kind of went for my safer dish the red curry and it was just as good as any of the places I’ve been to. Plenty of meat and the flavor was right, the only thing different is I wished they could’ve made mine a little more spicy since I would normally ask for a level 5 spicy at other Thai places, but it wasn’t bad. The Thai tea was good too. Now more assuring next time I’ll be trying something more unique like the duck noodle soup. Everything looked good and they had a good size menu for a small place. The parking space is very limited so may be hard to find a parking spot if they’re busy. The service was great, constantly made sure I had everything I needed and that my food was good. So overall I would definitely come back to try more anytime I need a Thai fix in Austin.

So glad we tried this hidden Thai gem. We started with the Tom Kha which was delicious and served in a hot pot with a protected flame in the middle so the soup stays warm. My favorite dish of the night was the Yum Nuer. Get this dish. The flavors were so refreshing and light and the meat was incredibly tender. It was a great dish to have before we indulged in green curry and pad Thai. If you are getting curry, get the green curry. Our waiter didn’t hesitate to recommend it and I’m glad we took his advice. I would’ve taken a picture of the pad Thai but my boyfriend ate it too quickly, aka it was too good to stop him. We ordered way too much food but it was worth it and we will likely over order again next time because I can’t imagine not having all four of these dishes again. Aside from the food the service was great and everything was reasonably priced, we will definitely be back.

Food was good. Service was great. This is a casual little Thai/Some Chinese restaurant that, for the price, was pretty tasty. I think one of the biggest pluses they have going for them is their delivery option. I ordered the chicken pad thai, it was just ok, probably going to have to try the more exciting dishes to get some more flavor. The beef pad see ew was a better choice. I’ll probably be back to get some thai food!

I’m sorry to be disloyal Titaya, but this little place has won my heart. It’s close to home, delivers, and serves up some truly fine Thai food! I love the Pad Thai(with chicken, pork or shrimp, I’ve had all 3) Lot of cabbage, green onion and bean sprouts, along with perfectly cooked and sauced noodles(i.e., not«revolting red» sauce here, it’s the real deal) You will have to ask for some heat if you like it spicy – level 3 is not enough for anyone who loves it hot. They will provide you with an outstanding chili oil however, so I’d recommend augmenting your spice that way on your first go. At lunch time, the already well priced, large serving of Pad Thai comes with an eggroll and a salad. I can’t rave about either, but it’s a nice add on for no cost. I’ve also tried the pineapple curry with tofu — out of this world, I couldn’t stop eating it. Portion isn’t huge, but neither is price tag. I didn’t care for the pineapple fried rice. The rice consistency was mushy and I’d prefer a slightly toothier grain in my fried dish. I did enjoy the way the flavors were distributed throughout the rice however; many Thai places put huge chunks of pineapple in the dish and you rarely taste it(and when you do, it’s a bit much) All in all, very much worth checking out. And, don’t forget your beer, it’s BYOB. Oh yeah, the value just goes on and on…

The food came out fast and fresh and the service was amazing. The service was awesome. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. Very reasonable prices and the portions are huge! Had enough leftover for another meal. Lunch combos come with salad and egg roll! The pad see ew with beef was yummy!

Ambiance: 3⁄5 Food: 4⁄5 Service: 5⁄5 This is a great little hole in the wall Thai place! The basil fried rice is THEWAY to go. It’s so good and the serving size is extremely generous. Should definitely be good for 2 decent sized meals. The egg is what sets it apart, and it seems to be deep fried. Their papaya salad was light and refreshing and makes a good appetizer. If you’re feeling soupy, give their tom yum a try!!! The fire pot is huge and comes with rice. Plenty of soup and shrimp to share! The tom yum noodle soup is also an A worthy dish! It’s a less tangy tom yum but super flavorful and delicious. Kind of reminds me of phở. :)

The ONLY reason i’m not giving 5 stars is they don’t sell beer. Which is strange considering how well Singha goes with super hot Thai food. I’ve eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants and Tuk-T does it perfectly. This was my 3rd time in, it’s just down the street so i’m actually tempted more times than I can actually go in. Tonight: Vegetable soup — lemongrass, tomatoes, yellow onions and mushrooms, spiced with Thai chili, kaffir leaves and lime juice. Thai spicy… i like my stuff hot and when you tell them to heat it up, they DO. Lots of flavor, clear delicious broth, vegetables crunchy and not overcooked. Just plain delish soup. Gang Dang — Thai red curry & tofu with coconut milk, bamboo shoots, and basil. Thai spicy. This was one of the hottest Thai bowls that I’ve eaten and that is saying a lot. An hour later and my mouth is still burning, scalp sweating but the flavors were not overpowered by how hot it was. Even with all those Thai chilis floating around it was still very coconut-y and flavorful. A lot of times spicy food gets drowned out by the hotness, but this is not the case here. Lots of coconut and curry flavor still. Delicious Thai iced tea to cool it all down a bit. Definitely going back again and again… and yes the mango rice is also very delicious, sweet and sticky. Service is top-notch. One of my favorite restaurants in Austin.

Great Thai food at great prices in South Austin. Located at Stassney and Manchaca this place needs to be on your list if you are a Thai fan. I always get the Pad See Ew which has a deliciously sweet thick soy sauce and my husband gets a different curry every time. The Masaman Curry had a such a unique flavor, almost a combination of lemongrass and peanut which actually goes well together. It’s also BYOB!

Came back for another dose of Tuk Tuk. Unfortunately, this experience was not as great as the last time. Last time we came during dinner, service was much more attentive and food was a lot better. During lunch, there is only one server and chefs seem to be cooking the food differently? We ordered the duck noodles expecting it to be clear broth. Instead, it was dark with lots of flavour, but definitely on the saltier side. The duck pieces were small and also sliced very thin and somewhat chewy. It was just average. We also ordered the pad see ew again, but this time the noodles were all choppy… And the tom yum soup was pretty shockingly bad. The tom yum is a sour and spicy soup with a clear broth. What I got was a super sour soup where it was hard to drink down without coughing. No spicy kick to it at all. Just the overpowering sour taste.

I love this food. It was closed down for a mini remodel for a while and I was disappointed the whole time. I’ve tried lots of items on the menu and am always pleased with the quality even if my taste-buds decide to hate one of the ingredients. The only down side is that the atmosphere is not the best, but if you want some straight up good Thai food and mango sticky rice then you don’t care!

Here for my first time, and I am incredibly impressed. The food is outstanding and the service is wonderful. We started out with the cheese and pickle wontons. Sooooo good. I was so surprised but they’re like a better version of a fried pickle. 10⁄10. I got the Panang curry which is AMAZING. So flavorful and they are super generous w the chicken. I asked my server a bunch of questions about which curry flavor was the best after my meal came out and she even brought little cups of the other flavors to try. My love got the Pad See Ew and the portion is ginormous. Super delicious as well. 10/10, I love this place and will be back soon!

We had our first visit to Tuk Tuk for a late lunch the other day — it’s not in our neck of the woods but we were down there visiting a friend and lucked out by choosing to stop in here. we’ll definitely look for opportunities to return. It was thoroughly enjoyable. The atmosphere is low key and casual — nothing fancy going on. And you’ll actually hardly notice the digs due to the outstanding, friendly service and the delicious, fresh food. We had an order of spring rolls(2 per order for $ 4) — the cold variety — which were obviously made to order. I love when the wrapper is soft and room temp, rather than ice box cold. Tuk Tuk’s spring rolls were done right. My lunch was the pad kee mao(DWI noodles) which i proteined up with some chicken. My buddy had the thai basil fried rice with tofu. Both dishes were flavorful, plentiful, and beautiful. In fact, half of my pad kee mao came home with me and is today’s lunch — yay! The vast majority of the dishes are in the $ 8-$ 10 range so you won’t spend a lot for some really outstanding thai food. I am so glad that my friend had the smarts, years ago, to move down near where TukTuk would eventually open. I’m looking forward to returning and trying, well, everything on their menu!

I have had Tuk Tuk twice now. First time was when Steve H. had Thai food delivered and I came home to find his leftovers in the fridge. I heated them up and they were delicious. It was left over pork and shrimp pad Thai. Those left overs were some of the best and I had been wanting to actually try it myself ever since. Finally that happened yesterday. We had it delivered again. Tuk Tuk delivers if you live within a 5 mile radius of them and luckily I do! I ordered the chicken pad Thai and Steve H got the pork and shimp pad Thai and we added on 2 egg rolls. It was about $ 22 for everything. Not bad at all if you ask me! I think there is a $ 20 dollar minimum fee if they deliver to you. My chicken pad Thai had peanuts on it and lots of other flavors that made it delicious. This place has so far been a win for me each time. I am looking forward to trying it again and maybe exploring more of the menu.
