I love coffee bean but the employees at this location consistently suck– both as people and as employees/coffee makers.

I loved their banana walnut loaf! I was worried it would be too sweet, but it wasn’t. Really clean and nice place to study!

To the chai latte enthusiasts, beware! The chai latte here is overly sweet and the spice flavors are barely there~

I either drink my coffee black or maybe with a little soy milk, either hot or iced, never sweetened. So the coffee better taste good without a bunch of stuff to cover the flavor. And it always does at the CBTL. Also, they have a primo selection of teas, they have a couple that I buy cans of for home. This is my favorite location in Austin. They have a drive-through that’s always super-friendly and super-fast. Yes there are tons of great coffee places in Austin, I like them too; however, the CBTL is kind of special to me because it’s so consistently good, friendly and easy and there’s something to be said for that when you need coffee.

Awesome customer service! I had to wait here for about two hours while my car was getting worked on. I swear the barista worked her magic on every single drink she prepared. Absolute bliss sitting here getting big whiffs of coffee every time someone walked in for their fix.

Fast internet. Comfy seats. Fast, friendly service. Clean bathrooms. Plenty of parking. Bike rack for bicyclists. Patio. Drinks are decent enough.

Pretty cool little store. Their matcha latte is just as good as Statbucks’ and the staffs are friendly, unlike some people claimed negatively here. Maybe I will keep coming back here in the future.

This is my current go-to coffee shop. The drive-thru line has never been very long, the staff is super nice, and the drinks are great! This location has almond milk, which is worth a star all by itself.

Love this coffee shop! The people who work there are so friendly! They are funny and super sweet. Love the coffee too. I’m so glad there is a drive through in central Austin.

This place is great! The staff is cool and I’ve never had a problem. To anyone who leaves a negative review of this place because of the amount of foam in her latte. Lady. It’s fucking coffee. Take it down a notch. It’s not that serious. The fact you have the time to leave not one but TWO comments about how bad this place supposedly is(it isn’t) yet you continue to return would suggest this place isn’t as bad as you claim it to be. Ok I’m done preaching. But in any case the staff is polite and will go out of their way to help you i.e. make your oatmeal a special way. HASHTAGFIVESTARS

I hate to leave this bad review. But after what«misty“said, I will. I can’t say I love the way they make my drink. Because 90% of the time it is either wrong or they make it wrong in purpose. But this time, this«misty» crossed the line by yelling at me and told me to leave another bad review here. All I can say is, I won’t be spending $ 20 everyday here and be yelled at! .shop.ever.again!

When I use the drive-thru, I am greeted with an enthusiastic, «How Ya doing this morning?» The employees are cheerful and personal which is a great way to start the day. And they always have bean and cheese tacos from Taco Deli still available(in the past, they would run out early in the morning, looks like they have increased their supply).

I really hate to leave a bad review, especially after our cashier was so darn nice but our coffee was so bad we nearly threw it out. I’ve never been here so I didn’t know what to order or how. So I told them half dark chocolate, half white and blended like a frap. It was terrible. And like it was half crushed-ice. Like chocolate flavored ice. My husband got a mocha, he said his was terrible too :( To be fair, we’ve been completely and utterly spoiled by Dazzle coffee in Pville. But then they use Ghirardelli chocolate and not powder. Maybe that makes the difference?

Got really tired of waiting at Sears automotive center(which by the way an excellent place to take your vehicle when it needs repairs). Walked a little to find this little«gem». It’s not a typical«corporate» vibe to it. It’s way more laid back than all the ones I’ve been to In Southern California(Redondo Beach). They do have«free wifi» and the results are as follows-UP:2.58DOWN:0.23 ***2nd*UP-2.86DOWN-0.33***3rd* UP2.92DOWN-0.27 Not exactly the best and for sure not the worst. Your nick picking and lack of respect to those who bust their ass to give us( Unilocal’ers) and everyone else excellent service. Only to be chastised and cut down for your petty request. I strongly recommended that you frequent«Starbucks». They tend to cater to «douche bag» request. The bottom line is that your looking to get«something for free» and they cater to such request. Sorry Starbucks, I enjoy your business and products. It’s douche bags like the one mentioned that started this habit of «light foam» and other ridiculous request because of «Starbucks» bend backwards to please this«minority». I enjoy this little coffee shop not just because it’s a block away from apartment, but because they are genuinely good. The first time I tried it, I was not expecting much more than a decent cup of coffee that probably cost too much. I opted for a latte and I must say, that I was taken by surprise at how good it was. They don’t seem to over roast their beans like starbucks so it does not have that extra bitterness to it. They used the perfect amount of milk and it turned out to be perfectly creamy. They have an assortment of other stuff like sandwiches and juices as well. The atmosphere is pretty chill. Lot’s of student types using the free wifi. Overall it’s quiet enough that you can study or do homework as well as just chat with a friend or two. They have a small outside seating area as well as a drive-thru. Pretty convenient. I will take this place over a starbucks any day!

I have to give a shout out to the wonderfully cheerful man working the drive through last Friday morning. I wasn’t quite awake and on my way to an appointment I was not looking forward to. His joy was infectious. I couldn’t help but smile, even as he told me there was not breakfast tacos available(I was too early). It is so rare when someone is so pleasant and helpful, especially so early in the morning. Cheers to Coffee Bean for hiring great people. I plan to go out of my way(this isn’t my normal route to work) just for another chance to get not only a jolt of caffeine, but also more encounters with such happy people.

Okay I know this is a chain, but it feels like a local shop. The people here are so nice — they will explain the menu, recommend if you ask, and I’ve been here so many times that some of them even remember my order(despite this being the most busy coffee bean in Austin). My go to items from the menu: iced English breakfast tea latte or iced hazelnut coffee. Both amazing, just depends on my mood. :P I love that they use glass/ceramic cups if you’re staying at the store :) and the sofas by the window are my favorites. Pretty sure I’ve seen college kids studying and falling asleep on them. ALSO: plenty of outlets which is the most important thing. Overall, I love this place. I come here and stay for a few hours to get my work done. Delicious drinks and great atmosphere — can’t go wrong!

I love Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. It’s my favorite chain coffee shop. The teas are good and they have a wide selection of tea lattes(hot, iced, or «ice blended»). Their coffee and coffee drink selection is like Starbucks, only they are better tasting and made with better coffee. I like the location because it’s a quick drive from the UT campus, has plenty of parking, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is always friendly. My friends and I would come here to study sometimes and it was a good, quiet spot. It doesn’t have the same vibe as many of Austin’s local coffee shops, but it is still good in its own way.

Okay I come here quite often and the friendly costumers is what makes me come back. I’ve sort of made some friends. I order a white chocolate latte(keep in mind the barista always is moody in the mornings. Like slamming everything, cutting me off when I speak) after I receive my drink it tasted kind of weird. So I asked barista 2 if it was the right drink, she then proceeded to just assume her friend made the drink correctly(at this point I’m a little annoyed) and asked if I wanted another. I just said no bc I didn’t wanna be a a**hole(like barista 1) I head home while almost drinking the whole thing, before recycling I emptied the rest and saw chunks of something in it. I’m assuming powder that wasn’t mixed correctly. Proves point that barista 1 is a moody woman and didn’t have time to put any effort into just making my drinking correctly…

According to the barista, they changed their gift card system, so the one I got for Christmas was useless until I contacted their corporate office and got a new gift card. Firstly, who replaces an entire system for gift cards before the holidays? Secondly, why wouldn’t you make your systems backwards compatible until you get rid of all the old cards? Anyways, got two drinks and one of them ended up being free because the barista felt bad. However, there isn’t much indoor seating at this location, and private conversations get ruined by the fact that your elbow could be touching someone else’s.
