Do you need a quick bite to eat and want it to be healthy, the salads are worth it.

The sandwiches were excellent. I’d ditch the chips for fries. Service was good and the place was clean.

OMG! Seriously so amazing! The burger is mouth-watering and the salsa is to die for! I could eat here every single day. Seriously. :-P

DONOTORDERDELIVERY! They jack up the prices on every entrée by about $ 2 plus you still have to pay the $ 5 delivery fee plus a $ 3 processing fee and tax! As for the meal… the portions are like appetizer size. I had the Founders Cheesesteak sandwich, and I could have easily eaten 2 of them(They are about 6 – 7 inch). The sandwich it self was OK. I would rate Penn Station way higher in quality than Texadelphia. I would say the best thing are their waffle fries, but the side order that the sandwich comes with only has about 5 or 6 fries in it… In other words, I regret my decision to eat here, and I will not recommend anyone to eat at Texadelphia.

How is it that Texadelphia has one of the best burgers in Austin? Very surprising. For many people who grew up in Austin or Dallas during the 1990s, Texadelphia played a very important role in their lives. Hopefully the brand will last a decade or two more.

I have been here once and I must say… their burgers are great. I eat a lot and I eat often but after I ate their burger and fries… I was sooo full. The burger was fresh, very tasty, and it was a great portion size.

These sandwiches are amazeballs. How are they shutting down all around Austin?! Parking isn’t great, but I call in orders and run in and grab them.

Very friendly staff, a very solid cheese steak not too heavy. I will be coming back many times. I was pleasantly surprised surprised. I I ordered the founders favorite.

Texadelphia is a semi-frequent lunch stop for me during the week. It’s an odd fusion of cheesesteaks and tex-mex. Some of the options are a little too experimental and don’t really do the cheesesteak justice, but they have options like the South Philly for those of us who want something a little more traditional. That being said, I must admit that chips and salsa make a much better side for a cheesesteak than I would have thought.

The sandwich itself was very good. Roll was perfectly crunchy, and the meat: cheese ratio was spot on. As I sat waiting I wondered how they handled high volume, as I went during an off hour and it still took some time to receive my order. Maybe they have more staff during peak periods; I don’t know. Anyway, just an observation not an indictment. Now for an indictment… Parking is awful. Awful I tell you. Very few spots in front and forget out back where everything is reserved for residents/tenants. You best bet is to not get caught up in the back lot«vortex» and just find something on the street. If you are lucky enough to work within walking distance then bully for you. All things considered, it is a nice find, has excellent sandwiches, competent counter help, and plenty of room inside. Five stars for taste, price, cleanliness, and friendliness. Minus one for parking.

Austin stalwart cranking out their own brand of «philly» cheezsteaks since about when I moved here in the early 80s. though they’ve been sold and opened and closed franchises and lost their flagship across from UT on the drag, its still making delightful grease sponges that anyone who dares eat them still enjoys. i don’t branch out much from the original texadelphia cheesesteak — sometimes a small w extra beef and/or extra cheese if i’m feeling particularly masochistic, but all the varieties hold no allure with the original being such greastastically soulful gastronomic gutbombs. of course they’re nearly inedible until you douse them with enough of the funny custom mustard/mayo concoction. you have to remember that mustard sauce stuff or the sandwiches aren’t any fun. anyway. just go.

Was taking training nearby and came here for takeout. The line to order snaked out the door. It was around noon when I placed my order and grabbed one of the only vacant tables to wait for it. I loved the frenetic energy of the place and the people watching was fantastic! I ordered the burger which took around 15 minutes but I didn’t mind. The burger was big, juicy and flavorful. I will definitely return to this spot when in the area.

Good place for a quick lunch! Free wifi, clean space, and plenty of seating. You order at the front, fill up your beverage, find a seat and they bring you your food. It’s very efficient. The employees here are always super friendly. I’ve had the cheesesteak salad, the classic cheesesteak, and the queso fries. They’re consistently good and priced right for a downtown restaurant.

Those on a gluten free regimen no longer have to be restricted to just choosing the chicken steak and mushroom salad. You can now get a yummy cheesesteak in a cup without the bread. Get free extra onions with it to bulk it up a little bit more. They now also offer the choice of a small side salad instead of the tortilla chips or waffle fries. A favorite lunch spot just got better!

Look, I don’t know nothing bout no cheesesteaks… that being said, I LOVE the chicken cubano cheesteak sandwich here. The mustard blend is awesome, the queso and salsa are both good, and I have always gotten friendly service at this location. Really the only complaint I have is the weird stickiness of the tables. They aren’t dirty, they wipe them down regularly, I guess it’s just the finish or something.

Great little place to drop into and grab a bite to eat during your busy day. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the place is kept clean and inviting. The food itself is not for the health conscience but wont do to much damage as long as you are not eating like this every day. They also offer up free wifi and in the late afternoon this is a nice place to drop in have a cool drink and relax. They typically offer up the chips and queso for ½ price in the late day and they have fried pickles, nough said. The down side to this location is the parking. It can fill up fast and your left with street parking which means your feeding a meter or paying a hefty ticket!

Good comfort food when you have that cheesesteak craving. Yes it is mushy but what do you expect with piping hot meat and melted cheese on a bun. Guy behind the counter is super nice and friendly too.

I went into the place with big hopes. It’s right across the street from UT so I figured it had to be good and cheap. I ordered the hickory cheese steak and it was good… not crazy about it but it was good. The sandwich had chopped cherry peppers on it which gave it a good flavor. It was smothered in sauce which I love. The hickory sauce is very tangy though so you may want to order it on the side. Served with waffle fries(wished they were warmer though.) The guy taking orders was very polite and courteous though. He was a jovial king of guy and just seemed happy to be there working with I liked.

I used to be a huge Texadelphia fan, especially of the one near Shoal Creek and Anderson until they did something to their queso to thin it out. So I swore off of Texadelphia for a long while. However, while doing my customary early lunch today, I wanted a cheesesteak and Subway just wouldn’t do. So… back to Texadelphia. The service was friendly, the drink area well stocked and clean, and the sandwich was very good. I’m holding off on the fifth star until I get a chance to resample the queso. But for now, it’s back on the list of lunch options.

Breakfast tacos; made by white people for white people. Blegh. I’m a white person. But I don’t want bland ingredients inside a dry hard tortilla covered in pace picante sauce. Yucky.
