I drive Jones Road a lot and have been seeing this cart for quite some time. This is a really small cart too, probably the one of the smallest I’ve seen. Every time I wanted to try it, I either did not have cash on hand or it was closed. It’s elusiveness made me only hungrier for it! Finally this last Saturday it was open when I was driving by, so I stopped in. The signage is a little odd… it had an Open sign saying come on in and pointing to the left, so I walked around the side only to realize the obvious. The menu was small, maybe 6 or 7 items listed. As always, we tried the Al Pastor and decided on the Barbacoa for the second one. At two bucks each, I handed him a $ 5.00 and went home to eat them. Corn tortilla and hot salsa(green creamy jalapeño), we split each taco and both agreed the Barbacoa was better, perhaps more of the mood we were in. The Al Pastar was good as well, but seemed a little lacking in spice. Overall, this place fits the tacos I would expect but does not leave a lasting impression. The man working was very appreciative of my business and his service was fast. I hope he sticks around.
