Steer clear on weekends! This place was totally overwhelmed and unable to keep up with the crowd today. They sent all vehicles to park ¼-mile + down a long dirt road where there was no way to turn around & too tight to back all the way out. I hiked in with two small toddlers to find total chaos-mob scene. At least 600 people there and lines 40 – 60 long for a beer or any food. The pizza looked good, but we were hungry, and didn’t have hours to kill, so we hiked back out and incurred damage to our new vehicle leaving because nobody was monitoring the parking situation and no way to find the owners of the other cars to have them moved. Not sure if the pizza is worth the couple hundred dollars to fix my fender!

This is an awesome place with a great atmosphere, good food and beer, and they are right next to a top level brewery, Jester King, but their own separate selection great as well. There is a key tip to going here though, and it is: Do NOT go during the lunch or dinner rush on a perfect day(in terms of weather) because it will be packed as everybody and their mother has that idea. The wait will be long, both to order and to get your food. The best times to go are right before the lunch rush, maybe 11 – 1 on Saturday and Sunday, and 4 on Friday. The alternative is to arrive around 7 after most of the dinner rush has died down and the kitchen has had time to catch up with the large amounts of orders. CHECKTHEHOURS! They change seasonally as they are an outdoor restaurant. I would recommend starting with an appetizer, either the Garlic Knots or the Caprese Salad/Entrée, then grabbing a beer or the delicious tap root beer and enjoying those while you wait for your pizza. They have also got some pretty good desserts. When you get your pizza ask for Parmesan or red pepper flakes at the Pizza Pickup if you want those, and then take a seat in the pavilion or up on the hill by Jester King. It won’t disappoint, just make sure you know what you are ordering, as some of their Pizza’s are surprisingly unique. The Willie, a barbecue pizza, is DEVINE. Don’t wimp out and get a traditional cheese pizza when you have so many awesome options to try. I would 100% recommend this place, just know it is more of an experience and not a simple place to grab a quick meal. Definitely go when you are in no rush and you will enjoy it. Who knew the Hill Country made such good Pizza?!

What a great place to try some brews and enjoy wood fire pizza. Pizzas are 12 inches and are cooked to order fresh! Took a out 20 minutes so we roamed the brewery while we waited. Great sheltered seating outdoors that allows pets. Would definitely come again!

Pizza was wonderful. We went when it was 40degrees at night and the place was packed! So that right there tells you about the pizza. Pizza comes in one size, it’s hand tossed and has 8 slices. Moms tell your kids this ain’t dominoes– no thick crust, thin crust, or stuffed crust. Wonderful selection of pizza– we had the Isabella, the sparky and Dexter. Loved them all, but since I like one with lots of meat, the Dexter fit the bill. Beer list is enormous. Stanley’s is basically outdoors(great during summer), during the winter they put heavy gauge plastic sheeting around the sides to cut cold. If you go when it’s cold there are only 4 indoor tables and 8 indoor bar stools. Place is excellent anytime of the year!

Garlic knots were great. Caprese salad yummy. Only negatives were long line and seeing flies all over the handle of the pizza handler contraption.

Went here with friends after church this Sunday at New Life Lutheran in Dripping Springs(another excellent Texas Hill Country outdoor experience!). Pizza was excellent! It is wood-fired style, but generous size. One pie can feed two adults, or if you are really hungry you can eat the whole thing yourself. We had the Beatrice which basically had a salad of arugula on top, so I was sold. There is also a brewery at this working ranch, Jester King Brewery. We ordered our pizza then walked the short distance up the hill to their tasting room to buy a very fine glass of beer. I had a seasonal one flavored with melons(I won’t pretend to remember the name) recommended by the guy pulling the tap. It was very refreshing. We then took the beer back down the hill to sit in the shady pavilion. If you prefer soft drinks there is a wide selection of quality sodas available as well. Great place for kids with plenty of room to run around. Dogs on leashes are also welcome, which please our four footed friends very much. My friends who live in the area say this place fills up by mid afternoon, so it is better to arrive early than late. If you are visiting Austin and want to get out into the Hill Country just a wee bit, and have a car to drive you there, this is a fun place to come for a bite and a pint.

VERY good thin crust pizza, perfect to pair with the Jester King Brewery. We got the Sparky, very delicious. There are plenty sitting area, we were here on a busy Saturday and we were still able to get a good seat. Service is good, it takes about 30 mins to get our pizza, so bring a group of friends, get some beer and enjoy some good pizza

I had the Willie(BBQ Sauce, Brisket, Mozzarella, Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Red Onion, Jalapenos, Cilantro, Pickles on the side), the Dexter(Red Sauce, New Jersey Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Fresh Mozzarella, Caramelized Onions, Calabrian Chilies) and some garlic knots on the side. The pizza was better than expected considering the plan was to go to Pieous pizza after, but this is so conveniently next to Jester Brewery that I said why not give it a try. Before I get to the pizza flavor review I have to note there were a bunch of flies around the pizza ingredients so if you’re skittish about sanitary conditions take note. The garlic knots were subpar they didn’t have a fresh tasting flavor and the mariana sauce that came with had a bland flavor. The Willie was good on taste however the pie was burned so that took away from the experience and enjoyment. The Dexter was really good and perfectly oven baked. The crust wasn’t the best in my opinion. This is a cool spot if you’re really hungry and in the area or right by Jester Brewery, however I do believe that Pieous does have BYOB and I would definitely say that’s worth the short trip for really good pizza. Overall sans the flies the pizza was good but I won’t eat here again because, well flies around my food and the ingredients ain’t my thing.

Located on the property of the Jester King brewery, Stanley’s provides food & seating to accommodate the growing popularity & pilgrimage by beer geeks everywhere looking to get the latest bottle release at the JK mothership. Whether or not it’s actually owned by the brewery is a gray area for me & they tend to stay independent from the brewery itself by offering an extensive rotating craftbeer selection that is 100% not Jester King(although you’re free to bring your brewery purchases into Stanley’s & drink them without scrutiny). Seating is either outdoors or under covered seating made to resemble a half-built barn/stable area. Plenty of fans are around to keep cool & while it gets hot inside on an August afternoon, it’s still much cooler in the covered seating. As far as pizza goes, it’s good. Damn good! As with others, Stanley’s uses fresh, locally-sourced ingredients that easily rivals the best of Austin. Since JK is getting more & more popular by the minute, if you order a Pizza at Stanley’s they will text you when it’s ready in case you’re standing in line for that ultra-rare new release next door. Quite convenient & keeps both the customer & employee less confused when the order is ready. After visiting a few weeks ago for the first time since 2012, I was impressed with how big Jester King has grown & was equally impressed with Stanley’s Farmhouse Pizza. I follow several local craft beer threads & now I understand why JK is more popular than ever. You don’t have to necessarily like their style of beers to have a good time. Between the 2 venues you’re bound to have an enjoyable experience! If you haven’t been lately, you’re missing out.

Located on a beautiful farm shared with Jester King Brewery, rustic far exterior but the open pizza kitchen is cool, watching them make your pizza and pit it into their wood burning pizza oven. We came around 7:30−8PM on a Sunday evening to try and beat the heat and by the time we got there, we had a nice breeze and a beautiful view of the Texas sunset. I ordered their Willie, which the girl told me that this is unique and you wouldn’t be able to find it anywhere else. The Willie had BBQ Sauce, Brisket, Mozzarella, Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Red Onion, Jalapenos, Cilantro, Pickles on the side. 12 inch pizza(8 slices) for $ 15.50. It took about 15 minutes but it was all worth it! The crust was Neapolitan style, thin, crispy and a little bit of char. The BBQ sauce on the pizza went well with the brisket, onions jalapeño and was well complemented by the sharp cheddar cheese. 4 slices filled me up and I had to take the other 4 slices togo. I will definitely return if I’m at Jester King enjoying beers and need some quality pizza

Located at Jester King Brewery. This is a cute little pizza place with a fun atmosphere. The smell of the pies as you walk into the brewery is amazing. We wanted a simple traditional pizza so went with the Dexter, but the Willie also looks good. The pizza was flavorful and cooked well. The dough wasn’t too thick or overpowering. Coupled with the brewery, this was a fun experience that I’d come back to.

TBH I’m pretty disappointed in this place. The line is like a hundred feet long, and then when you order it’s another 45 minutes for a small pizza that’s a tad pricey. A lot of the combinations seemed interesting, but not necessarily appealing. I went for the basic Lil’ Heifer with Pepperoni. The pizza was really thin with a crust that’s hard and crunchy. The toppings themselves are bland and scarce. Maybe I just got the wrong pizza? It wasn’t gross or disgusting, just not very good and kind of a hassle. Or maybe I’m not a fan of Neapolitan style pizza? It’s a cool vibe to sit out here, get a pizza, and have a few beers from Jester King, but I’d say the only reason this place works is because there’s no competition. It’s basically Stanley’s pizza or bust.

As a New Yorker who moved to Chicago visiting Austin, it’s great to see someone do Neapolitan style pizza. Located in the same spot as Jester King Brewery, Stanley’s offers a nice variety of pizzas along with some beers. I had the Ferdinand and Willie’s, and both pizzas were fantastic. Each had the right balance of crispness and pliability in the dough with the various toppings nicely spread across and baked to perfection. I came here on a Thursday or Friday with friends, and enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, setting, and the overall experience. I certainly recommend checking this place out, if you’re looking for a chill place with good pizza and beer.

I saw a photo of one of Stanley’s pies on Instagram and I immediately went to bookmark this place on Unilocal.A couple of days later, I made the long journey(during rush hour) from Cedar Park to BFE to try it out. I took my brother and his wife and their three kids plus my daughter. This genius plan allowed me to get a chance to try several different pies. I ordered the Ferdinand and it was my favorite of the three I tried. The Willie was a close second, filled up by Dexter. The crust is perfectly chewy, with a slightly crispy exterior. So good, I could have made a meal of just the«pizza bones» and been happy. The red sauce was good and the toppings fresh. The sausage on the Ferdinand was a perfect blend of spices and seasonings with just the right amount of kick to it. The Willie was a nice tangy blend of barbecue sauce and brisket, but I felt it could have used a little more meat. The only disappointment was the dessert options. They have cupcakes from Skull and Cakebones for sale. We tried the Bing Bongs, which are similar to Ding dongs, the carrot cake and the chocolate with beet icing along with all three trifle offerings. The cake in all the desserts was a heavy crumbed, dry disappointment. Not worth the calories, in my book. Oh well, more room for yummy pizza!

Stanley’s Farmhouse Pizza offers up some tasty artisan, wood-fired pizzas that offer a fantastic complement to the nearby Jester King Brewery’s offerings. However, if you come here on the weekend, be prepared to wait in line for quite some time. Even if it’s moderately busy, it’ll probably take at least 30 minutes to get your pies ordered. There are two bars where you can buy beverages separately from food that often also have slow lines. You cannot buy Jester King beers within Stanley’s, you will need to go up to the brewery to get those. There are plenty of kids and dogs(on leash) running around so be careful in the parking lot!

Stanley’s offers up a variety of tasty, artisan style pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven. Located on the many acres that houses Jester King Brewery, come for the brews, stay for the pizza! Fantastic! All made with super fresh ingredients, have thoughtful, and amazing flavor combinations, and each are prepared and cooked to order. At an average of about 14 bucks a pie, I noticed a few other reviewers stated the prices were high for what you get… perhaps they has one too many funky chugs at JK! ;) Each pizza easily serves 2; and if you go with friends you can share and sample several pizzas! The most popular pizza seems to be the Willie: Spicy BBQ Sauce on the bottom, chunks o’ yummy brisket, mozzarella & cheddar cheeses, small pieces of japs, a bit of red onion, scattered with cilantro… and served with sliced dill pickle chips on the side — as is tradition with Texas Q. Cute & nice touch. So good! And, for a gal that can really take the heat, I was a bit shocked at a few extra fiery bites I got. Then, there is the far more«delicate» Penelope: A light red sauce with smoked speck(think salty, addictive prosciutto), fresh mozzarella topped with tons of arugula, sliced grape tomatoes, fresh cracked S&P and a drizzle of EVOO on top. On the«lighter» side of pizza(if there is such a thing), but in no way a let down on flavor explosion! One of the better choices on a warmer day! Special of the day was a Lamb Pie: Scrumptious little balls of ground lamb, creamy cheese, with scattered pieces of fried sage on top. Absolute perfection. Like 5-star cuisine all on a handmade pizza crust. Perfection! Oh, I already said that. It was absolutely that good! If you’ve never been to Stanley’s Farmhouse before, here are a few things you might want to know: 1.) If it has recently rained, wear appropriate footwear as you will most likely be trekking through some mushy mud and navigating the few stones they have set as a walkway. Leave the stilettos(and flops, unless you want muddy toes) at home ladies. 2.) Dress the rest accordingly. There is a huge covered«farmhouse» barn with tons of tables to eat at; however, it is outside… so be prepared to be hot or cold. 3.) There will most likely be a line to order. Grab a menu and make choices while waiting — and DON’T forget to check out the special posted on a board. The line goes pretty fast. 4.) After you order, give them your cell number and they will text you when your food is ready. Expect a 30 – 45 minute wait, but time seems to fly by and it’s worth the wait. 5.) Pick up pie, don’t forget napkins(they don’t have plates), and enjoy! 6.) The ladies room is located in an old on-site airbus… just sayin.’ ;)

I might be the one person in the world that would hate the concept of Stanley’s Farmhouse Pizza aside Jester King Brewery. You see, I own land in Hays County. Where the heck is the guy who offers to lease my property and open some kitsch craft brew place with the only dedicated custom Interior Mexico Sopes/Ceviche dive bar made out of cedar planks from my ranch? While I’m waiting for someone to offer me millions of dollars for being a valet on my own 100 acre ranch; I’ll tell you about our experiences at Stanley’s. Solid concept from start to finish. Two visits, one with my low slung sports car. Folks, bring something with some unmodified height otherwise your chassis will be scraping the ground. Once your parked if I have to estimate the stars early; the digs are quite cool. Simple ordering process. I won’t say a wealth of options from salads, thin crust wood fired pizzas, and packaged desserts. Wait for a simple text message; please enjoy. Out of the three pies I’ve tried the Beatrice was the one transgression. Sounds good on paper; I couldn’t even taste the goat cheese. How hard is that? Thankfully, the Sparky and the Willie produced flavors. Second visit after a few craft brew creations I was screaming don’t touch my Willie! If I had to really criticize I would have put the brisket on after the pizza was fired as it was obviously pre-cooked. Did I mention the garlic knots? All the salads sampled rocked the countryside. Solid middle of nowhere hole in the wall pizza joint. BTW, don’t mind me if I come on over and tape measure your«pizza establishment». The dimensions just might be useful for a «project»

The pizza’s great — IF you’ve never had Pieous before. But I have had Pieous, which is the best pizza to be in my face in the history of time and exists a mere 4 miles down the road, so. .I abstain from Stanley’s pizza-wise. There are a few things, however, that will always bring me into Stanley’s each and every time I’m at Jester King. . The barn itself: super adorable, with its chandeliers and lights strung about. Always a lovely escape from heat/rain/cold. The beers: a wide selection of bottles and a few taps, mostly different than what’s available in the JK taproom and coolers. The garlic knots: a totally heavenly snack when you’re in the mood for something savory to accompany your beer. The cupcakes: !!! Always. The time is always right for Skull & Cakebones goodness.
