We’ve tried the garlic knots, wings, and pizza. All were decent, not great. Very glad we added Roma tomatoes to our pizza it helped supplement the thin sauce.

Their pizza is still really good, don’t get me wrong. We used to order the Monday special a lot, but the price just keeps going up. I’ll never understand the prices of pizza in ATX. I know I’m not in NY(just taje one bite of the pizza here and you’ll know) but pizza should not cost the price of fine dining.

Food was perfect! It’s really hard to mess up a pizza but the dough and toppings are the things that make this place different. I also loved that we could have our own personal pizza. Would definitely come back again.

Tried this place based on reviews. Gluten-free crust was tasty and salad was very fresh(and surprisingly large). I look forward to trying more of their toppings. I ordered prosciutto, goat cheese, and artichokes. I like that the prosciutto was in little chunks as opposed to thin slices; improves the texture of the pizza overall.

Super tasty and great value! Popped in around 10 pm earlier this week. Only person in the place since they closed at 11. They two guys working were welcoming and walked me through the menu options quickly. I had a single slice($ 5) customized with the vegetative state toppings(mushrooms, red onion, bell peppers, black olives, mozzarella and romano cheese). The slize was huge — easily the size of a normal 1 slice. It was a thin crispy crust, but that what I love! Toppings were generous. When I opened the box, I told myself to only eat half… you can guess how that went after the first bite. Can’t speak to a dining in experience, but overall my visit was great and I will visit them again.

Great pizza joint in S. Austin that delivers. I’ve only had the pizza and garlic knots but look forward to ordering more off the menu when we’re lazy and don’t feel like going out.

Hands down the best pizza in Austin! From the friendly service to the quality of ingredients there’s nothing better. It’s a must try and once you try you won’t go anywhere else.

They have a nice selection of local craft beers that makes the wait for your pizza seem a bit shorter. Girlfriend has to eat gluten-free, so they made us the spinach and artichoke dip with a gluten-free crust. It was incredibly delicious, as well as the pizza! I’d recommend. We will definitely be back.

One of my favorite late night stops. My boyfriend used to work here, so we tend to always get The Thing, which is the chefs choice and lemme tell you– they always do a rad job. They’ll even do half and half crazy concoction if you’re brave enough. I like going later, because theres a special and the dinner rush has usually died down by then. So, go sit on the congress patio, listen to some psychedelic tunes, and drink a local brew on tap.

I really love this place– but note to management, if a customer orders and asks for no onions, please don’t take it as a suggestion. We really mean no onions. There is always a better than 50⁄50 chance when I order that despite me repeating«no onions» twice, texting«no onions,» and having a helicopter fly over with a «no onions» banner, there will still be onions on my pizza. I have gotten to the habit of checking the pizza before the delivery guy leaves to make sure there are no onions. And guess what? There’s usually onions. So dude has to drive all the way back and get a pizza without onions and bring it back. Waste of time for me, for you, for driver dude.

Until I ordered pizza from this place, I thought there was no such thing as bad pizza. Seriously, I even enjoy Totino’s from time to time. I thought I would like this pizza because I had them once at Blues on the Green and didn’t remember it as being bad. However, that was pizza fresh out of the pizza oven, so there’s that. When we received our pizza, it was clearly overloaded with toppings. When you picked up a slice, all the toppings nearly slide right off. My husband and I both struggling to finish one piece and didn’t eat anymore. It’s seriously bad when you can actually describe the taste of something like cardboard. Previous reviewers have noted that you shouldn’t order delivery from them. I wish I had taken that advice.

The only way to describe the experience of ordering delivery from this pizza place is simply disappointing. I would like to preface this review by saying I’ve gone to south side flying pizza for years but have only ordered delivery from them twice and will not make the same mistake again. The pizza is good if you order it and eat it at the restaurant but do not, and I would like to reiterate DONOT order pizza for delivery from them. having to wait two hours for a burnt pizza to be delivered to your door step cold is absolutely unacceptable. The first time we ordered from them for delivery the pizza came to us cold and soggy, and was an hour late. We called the restaurant to let them know what was going on and they were not only apologetic but offered to send a fresh pie or give us a credit on the order for a future delivery. We opted for the credit and were understanding, after all I’ve worked in delivery before and sometimes orders get lost in the mix. The second time we called in they quoted U.S. A delivery time of about an hour and 30 mins. We were ok with the time, but when we spoke to them about the credit on our account they said they couldn’t find it on either of our phone numbers in their system, and had to give the guy our number 3 times over the phone just got him to tell us he couldn’t find it. Fine we let the free pizza go and decided on the ACL pie which is a personal favorite. Two hours later the delivery guy shows up with a cold pizza and a pizza that looks like they went cut crazy with the pizza cutter. Half of the pizza crust was burnt, but the pizza was hardly even lukewarm. We debated on whether we should call and let them know but frankly between the two messed up pizzas they’ve delivered and the SNAFU with the credit we just decided to write this buyer beware. Ultimately they make a good pie but it’s not good enough to justify the continued mistakes with their service to continue patronizing their restaurant.

good, local pizza. The staff wasn’t the most friendly but overall I am glad to recommend this place. Plus, they had a 25 minute wait whilst pizza hut was going to take close to two hours to deliver my pizza… go local!

Some coworkers and I ate here for lunch a couple of days ago. I ordered the lunch special and got pepperoni, jalapeño peppers, and banana peppers on my pizza and the salad(yum!) with ranch dressing. The pizza is good. I don’t always like NY style pizza because it’s often too greasy with little sauce. But the sauce amount is good and it isn’t over greasy. The flavor is pretty good. They don’t skimp on the toppings which is important for me! The salad is soooooo good. I ask for extra nuts and feta because that’s the best part! The staff is great. Will keep going here.

Really good pizza! My favorite specialty pie so far is the Dillo. They also have great salads, my favorite being the classic caesar. The service is always great and they have a late night special of a large 3 topping pizza for $ 12.99 any day after 9pm!

The pizza isn’t five stars because it isn’t the best. But it’s well above average for Texas pizZa. Worth every penny. Recently a goto for pizza lately. Ordering from the web is super simple, and quick. The kaleidoscopic list of ingredients is delicious, and appealing. The crust is thin, hand tossed and spot on for New York style. The cheese is a big hit for me. It’s my favorite part. It’s good on pizzas, cheese bread, it’s stringy and gooey. And perfect. The customer service is great. Prices are remarkably inexpensive. Taste is the most notable experience. I will be returning and recommending it others who ask for good pizza without a wait list to sit down.

I had been wanting to stop here ever since I moved to Austin and today I finally did. I ordered a personal size pizza with pepperoni and pineapple. I am always happy when pineapple is on the menu, because sometimes for whatever reason it is not. For me a pizza is best with pineapple on it and there is nothing more worse when it is not on the menu as a topping. When I sat down to wait for my pizza I noticed that there were two other tables in the restaurant occupied. The tables were all kinda dirty, like crumbs and food. Not sure why they could not go the extra step to ensure the tables are clean here. My pizza came out it looked good. I thought the sauce was a bit lacking. The toppings were great. Overall the pizza was decent, but nothing too impressive.

What an unorganized mess! The husband wanted pizza slices this evening and Home Slice was impossibly busy, so we stopped by Southside Flying Pizza. After looking over the menu, we ordered 3 slices, garlic bread and 2 waters. The total was $ 20 plus tip. It seemed a bit high but I didn’t think to ask about it. I grabbed our waters while the husband found us a table. When I sat down, I noticed I was charged $ 2 to add pesto to my pizza. The menu had this item marked as a specialty topping, which are $ 1 to add to a slice. When I went to ask about this, both cashiers agreed that the menu says $ 1 and didn’t know why it rang up as $ 2. One cashier grabbed a manager. The manager proceeded to tell me it was a specialty topping, which are $ 2. I pointed out to him that their posted and menus near the cash register all say specialty toppings are $ 1 per slice. He then tried to say it’s $ 1 for the specialty up charge plus the standard fee for an added topping. A.) Thats ludicrous. B.) The standard cost to add a topping is $.50. I’m not a math major, but that’s only $ 1.50. He’s got nothing to say to this and not once does he apologize or acknowledge that it’s an issue for their system to over charge me. I told him it’s BS — cancel my slice and give me a refund. At this point, I don’t want the $ 6 slice of pizza.(Who the hell charges $ 6 for a slice?!? I’ve had huge, artisanal slices in Manhattan and they weren’t $ 6!) The manager can’t refund to my card so he just takes $ 6 from the register and hands it to me. For real?!? I don’t mention tax. Screw it. He turns to tell the guy making pizzas, who is right next to him, not to make my slice, but it’s too late. He says he’s giving it to me anyways. Ok. Whatever. The food comes out. The slices are huge but the husband and I are both not impressed with the greasy, oily and tasteless mess in front of us. One of the husband’s slices has charred bacon on top. WTF?!? The garlic bread is like the frozen crap you get at the grocery store. We eat enough and leave. We will not be returning.
