This place is GREAT! Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Prices are great. I’ve been to several other smoke shops and nothing compares to these guys. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

I love this shop, so glad I live close to it. We had limited edition part copper pipe that broke, we purchased it a few months ago from this store. We went back today to get another one, but they said the artist stopped making this kind. The guys on this store where very helpful, they took our info and researched for us to find it elsewhere. Turns out their Sam Marcos location had the last three! And they went out of their way to deliver it to the S Lamar Location, I just went back after they called me, super service, we replaced the pipe exactly as the first one at same price! This store will be my only go to place! They have a great variety and the staff is awesome and very knowledgeable! Thanks again guys!

I have to say I can not believe the amazing level of service this wonderful shop provides. Upon purchasing a glass storage item, I unfortunately broke it on my first use. Most shops will NEVER replace an item that left the store. Luckily Smoke ATX is an outlier. Within seconds of describing my problem I was offered a replacement immediately. Now not all glass can be so easily replaced as my open-​ended jar was. It still makes me so proud and happy to shop at this local Austin shop and continue to be a lifelong customer. Hard to believe it’s only been open 5 years. Joe, the general manager is very knowledgeable and helped me with this particular problem. Even if I just need some Zig-​zags, Smoke ATX is where I shop.

My e-​cig wasn’t working and I forgot my wallet. Ellen and the owner couldn’t have been nicer about getting it working. I like to think Austin is all about the class of people and I will definitely go out of my way to go back and see theses good people!

Biggie is very helpful and knowledgable about the products. A great shop with a huge variety. Open later than most shops also.

I’ve been in Austin TX now for almost 3 years… In that time, I’ve gone to several different smoke shops. NEVER had anything but a mediocre experience, at best. Until a friend recommended to me Smoke ATX. Not only was the service above and beyond, but the glass work they provide is truly breathtaking! My fiancé and I came in right before closing time (since we knew what we wanted we didn’t think it would take long). I figured since it was so close to close it would impact the customer service. Nope! They were as helpful & friendly as if we came in mid day. They even stayed late while assisting us along our purchase.
To sum it up: Great customer service, knowledgeable on their products, and hands down the BEST glass work I’ve seen since moving to Austin! I will go nowhere else for my smoke shop needs!

Simply put, they do not stand behind the products they sell.
I bought a battery for my e-​cig from them, which broke within a month of purchasing. I attempted to return it, and they told me they would not do an exchange. When I pointed out that it was less than a month old, the guy behind the counter accused me of dropping it and then lying to them, which I found particularly offensive. When I challenged him to show me any signs of wear and tear that would indicate I had damaged it, he was unable to do so, as there was none.
He then explained that the company they buy the batteries from wouldn’t do an exchange, which prompted me to ask if they stood behind the products they sell in-​store. He hemmed and hawed. I asked again, and he finally allowed that they do stand behind what they sell, but his actions gave lie to his words.
They finally made a less than generous and highly ironic offer to give me a discount if I purchased a new battery from them, but I of course pointed out that my last purchase from them was a piece of junk, so it would be foolish to give them further business. Which they most assuredly won’t get. With so many places in town that actually believe that a customer shouldn’t be forced to eat the cost of their defective merchandise, why shop here?
Caveat emptor.

New to town and looking for a shop my husband and I stumbled across these guys and we are SO glad we did! Awesome service, we were there for a while just having a great convo with the salesman! We have for sure found our place in town! Check them out if you’re in need!

Solid selection of all accessories and for most items they carry the top brands and a cheaper, lesser quality but still good for the price, alternative. UNLIKE some well known smoke shops around town their prices are extremely reasonable.
I rarely see it busy but if you are in the store and the staff is w another customer they will acknowledge you and trust me, whatever small wait for their full attention is worth it.

My fiancé and I were literally driving down south lamar looking for the next smoke shop and saw the sign for this place. We popped in and were thoroughly surprised at the classiness of the shop. It was clean, well organized and friendly service.
I immediately noticed that all the pipes were local Austin artists, which is way cool. I have been in other stores and they tell you and point it out, but the organization and labeling of each artists was impressive at this place. We were not in the market anything fancy and just looking for something cheap and small. Once the employee realized that he pulled out a bin from under the counter and he had exactly what we were looking for.
I had a special display case that had a piece of art in it, which was cool in person! And that is just the thing about this shop it is really almost more like an art gallery and not your traditional every other smoke shop in Austin. So if you are looking for something local and nice then this is probably the nicest smoke shop I have seen in the atx.

Went to grab a highly educated carb cap. Guy says they are out but have a cheap alternative so I go ahead and buy it cash, and I get no receipt. 5 min later I’m driving by womp smoke shop and decided to check to see if they had the he carb cap. Turns out they do so I head back to atx and ofcourse they won’t take it back unused. 10 min after I bought it. It’s not a biggy to have 2 but I don’t feel like I will ever do any business here again. I can understand not taking it back after its used or after a day or something but this was not the case. Hey atx if you want to take back this knock off I won’t use it and I’ll change my review and you can have my business again.

The guys at smoke atx hooked me up with a new base for my illadelph coil! Great price and super friendly people. Arrived with some freebies too. Definitely go check this shop out. Thanks guys!

Condescending jackasses there. Rude and obnoxious. Been there a few times and will never go back. Have read the other reviews and don’t believe them. They talk down to you and think they know everything. There is so much to know about this stuff and they know just enough to get by and they feel like they can talk down to you. Don’t waste your time. Stay nice, bite your lip, then just leave.

Excellent selection and friendly staff! Good place down south. Bryan the tattoo guy was helpful with my questions and wasn’t hesitate to explain anything. He was also very knowledgeable — took the time to help me find the right glass piece! Friendly atmosphere and prices just right!

So what more can be said about Smoke ATX that hasn’t been covered already? Friendly, highly knowledgeable staff, quality stock, and the ultra friendly Moochie the dog is always ready to vocalize his opinion with the occasional bark. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the standards this fine little shop is aspiring to hold itself to. To top of it, there is always such a clean, professional atmosphere that you just don’t get currently with any of the other businesses that offer the same stock. (Windows make such a huge difference!)
Whether you’re interested in local glass or the big name competitors, these guys will have you covered and take the time to guide you through your shopping journey on finding just the right piece for you. I’ve already returned four times and left as a satisfied customer on every occasion. (Big shout-​out to Brian for the level and depth of attention he gives every time I peruse the place!)
So yeah, if you’ve been mistakenly visiting any of the «competition» it is time to make amends and head on over to the one, true location for connoisseurs in town.

I’ve been looking for months all over the country for a downstem and when other shops gave me the cold shoulder or never returned my call. These guys came through in the clutch and helped me find what I need.

The best shop in Austin by a landslide. I love this place, I buy all of my pipes here and even my incense.
They have a broad selection of locally blown glass as well as many high-​end national brands.
Eddie and his staff have a passion for local glass and craftsmanship and are hands down the most knowledgeable staff you will find. I love just going in and talking to them about local blowers.
If you are in the market for any glass or accessories you would be foolish to go anywhere else.
