This is a great lunch option just east of downtown. Usually it’s quiet enough for conversation. I love that they are experimenting with vegan and vegetarian options on their new lunch menu. I had the grilled radicchio panini. It was creamy and yummy, but it lacked much«grill» flavor. A little smokiness in the sauce or veggies would make it even better. Food and service were about 3.75 stars. The veggie-friendly menu and calm ambiance knock it to a 4. I’m definitely excited to try other things on the menu. I’ll be back.

I came to Sagra for a banquet that had an attendance of about 50 people. There is a room towards the back with sliding doors that allows for a nicely private, enclosed space. The service was okay where some people received their food late but I understand that it can be difficult to serve many people at the same time. It was expressed that an HDMI cable was needed well in advance, but it was not provided the night of the banquet. We had to scramble to find one by asking our own attendees which delayed our presentation. For the appetizers, I had sourdough bread and caesar salad which were ordinary. For the entrée, I got to try the wild boar bolognese pasta and the macaroni al forno. The former was tasty at first, but the sauce soon suppressed all the other potential flavors. I definitely recommend the latter — I actually looked forward to completing this dish. The macaroni was nicely baked with fontina cheese, spinach, chicken breast, and with truffle oil — yum! For dessert, I had flourless chocolate cake which was decent but satisfying. Service — 3⁄5 Food — 3.5÷5 Environment — 3.5÷5 Overall, I think it was an okay deal for a 3 course meal. Besides, a few technical difficulties, the managers are helpful. If you are wanting to host a banquet and looking for a decently priced and nice/casual place, it would not be a bad idea to keep Sagra in mind.

I went to Sagra for the first time two weeks ago and it’s definitely my new favorite brunch spot. Bottomless mimosas, belini’s, fruit and muffins, plus an entrée, for $ 16.99. Pizza was an option for an entrée and I couldn’t resist it. Our server, Jenna, was awesome and on top of making sure we had a great experience.

Service bad on a busy night. Prix Fixe with pairings. Had to flag down waitress for the paired wine after each course was halfway done. Reservation for 815 — out the door at 1130, and not because we sent anything back. Just waiting for our food and trying not to be jerks in the moment.(I failed at that goal by the end of the night). Poorly run all around. Went to the bar for 2 drinks while wait staff walked past without looking in our direction. No chef or mgr comes around to check in. First two courses came cold(soup and undercooked lentils). Third(an intermezzo) never came at all. Fourth course not bad(truffle gnuddi) and fifth(duck«porchetta») way too salty. Wasn’t interested in dessert by the time it arrived. Shite experience all around. (Reviewed by user’s husband. She would never say«shite»)

Ugh. Where do we start? So there were 8 of us for NYE dinner. We got seated early but then the waiter took 15 mins or so to even get there. The hostess warned us about that so it wasn’t a big deal. We ordered wine pairings. The wine never came. We got bread right away but then the waiter never came back to refill our waters. After 40 minutes, the first course came out cold with no instructions(it was a mushroom soup with a shot of whiskey so you can imagine the confusion). We talked to the hostess who apologized but our server never did. We waited another 30 minutes and at this point it’s 9:15ish and we only got one cold soup and no drinks. We left $ 60 on the table and went to a local bar with really good burgers and fries. Get it together, guys. Pre fixe should have meant faster service. I have never left a restaurant for bad service but this was necessary – especially since it was a big night. :-(

Came here for a birthday party and had never heard of this place before. The service was excellent and the brunch menu they provided was more than adequate. I loved the bottomless mimosas!

Attention all brunch lovers: If you’re looking for delicious food and bottomless mimosas for under $ 20, look no further! I’ve been to Sagra for brunch three times now and I have never been disappointed. The food is delicious(I’ve tried everything from the polenta bowl to the pizza) and the drinks, whether you’re a bellini or a mimosa fan, keep coming. Not to mention you also get unlimited fruit and bread all for $ 16.95. Plus, not a lot of people know about Sagra, so there isn’t a long wait to get your brunch on. If you’re looking for a good brunch spot in Austin, I highly recommend Sagra!

We came here last weekend for an early dinner, and I was completely stunned by how empty the place was. We got there around 6, so there was about 30 minutes left for happy hour prices, and we ordered a couple of vegan pizzas and the polenta and brussels appetizer. The appetizer was amazing. My pregnant sister in law said she could have happily made a meal out of just those polenta fries and the fresh marinara sauce. As for me, the best part was definitely the vegan funghi pizza. The sweetness of the caramelized onions, the herbs, the crunch of the pine nuts, the tender mushrooms: pure heaven. We also ordered the Sagra vegan pizza, and though it was tasty with the truffle oil, the dough was just a bit undercooked, which made it less than stellar. It definitely needed a couple more minutes in the oven. Nonetheless, considering that pizzas are half price during that window even on weekends, and with such a comprehensive vegan menu, Sagra did not disappoint. There was easy parking on the street and a lot in the back. I loved the lights, music, and atmosphere, and we had relatively good service. If I lived in Austin, this would definitely be a staple happy hour and girls night out spot for me.

Everyday happy hour from 4 – 6:30 with half price pizzas and $ 2 off all alcohol except bottles of wine. This is one of my favorite places to pre-game with friends. The pizzas are tasty and the cocktails are yummy. They have a range of beers as well. I’ve never been here and seen it crowded for happy hour which I just don’t understand. Their brunch seems to be popular and then no one is there until 7/7:30/8(seems to be a date night place), Regardless, I will continue to enjoy their happy hour! There is free parking in the lot behind their building!

Went for a happy hour with my apartment complex. The drinks were delicious and I really liked the vibe of the bar area. The food was sub par. The pizza came out cold and soggy. I am hoping it was a one time thing just because of the nature of the free happy hour. Would be willing to try again(especially for brunch) but it won’t be on top of my list of go-to’s which is disappointing since the location is clutch for me!

For 16.95 you get an amazing entrée, fruit, freshly baked sweet muffins with amazing sweet butter and bottomless mimosas & bellinis. The bartender is so sweet. The food is great, but stay away from the polenta because it’s bland. They have some of the best coffee in town. The atmosphere is perfect for post-hangover brunch.

Went for Sunday Brunch and did the $ 16.95 special with an entrée, fruit, bread basket and unlimited mimosas/bellinis. The food was great — did not have the issues with the poached eggs that some other users complained about. Added benefit of multiple vegetarian options. We got our money’s worth after 5 or so mimosa carafes and appreciated that the server didn’t rush us even after we cashed out. Overall, solid brunch experience — will be returning!

Solid little Italian spot with a bar on East 11th! Came here for a cocktail happy hour through our apartment building and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and drinks here. We drive by this place all the time and had yet to try it but now, we will definitely consider it for an evening snack and a drink or three. We tried the King Mule cocktail and the Sangria. Both good. We also had a prosciutto and arugula pizza. Fantastic. Definitely will be coming back here.

I’m confused by the recent poor reviews. I had dinner with a client and had a fantastic meal and great service. My waiter«goofed» and brought me a non-vegan salad after I’d asked him for recommendations on the vegan menu, and he was very apologetic. I had a veganized pasta dish that was pretty incredible.(The vegan mozzarella tasted so much like dairy mozzarella that I nearly panicked and sent my food back) If I ever happen to be in Austin again, I’ll definitely drop by! Any place with an entire vegan menu in addition to their regular menu is a-ok by me!

This review is for: both a brunch and a dinner (not on the same day) Day to night — great drinks Vegetarian’s delight! Stick with PASTA, ’cause.. . Sigh, the polenta! Was plainly oversalted, but eggs were on-point. Despite the meh brunch, I have faith in the menu And thus would come back.

Pretty good Italian food(and very vegan-friendly) and drinks! Have taken a few people here, and everyone seemed fairly satisfied! My personal favorite is the Buccatini alla Nana — hollow spaghetti, wild mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, kale, chickpeas, pesto broth, and crème fraîche — which can be veganized! Good news: it has a parking LOT. Never worry about parking here! Cons: although it’s not usually very busy, the service can be VERY slow.

Dear 18 staff members standing at the podium upon entry — — The menu says gluten free options available When a client has to walk inside from their outside table to ask what the options are… please do not all shout out. any entrée without the bread. That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s gluten free — What’s the substitute? Gluten free bread? Salad? WHAT??? — When 3 people at 1 table all return their dishes because the eggs are clear and runny — do not argue with them– the odds are against you. 3 – 1 … you loose — When asked what you like… have an opinion… Don’t say you don’t eat there. Done! Drops mic.

It was on a weekday at high noon. We were in the area and stopped in. As we were standing outside perusing the posted menu and slowly deciding that we didn’t want to spend that price for lunch, the door opens and this bright, bubbly lady approaches and asks if we are deciding on lunch. I was like«yeah:. She smiles and says«come on inside we have decent lunch specials. You’re looking at the dinner menu». I say, «I knew that». Lie! The place is quite charming despite its imperfections. Our waiter was friendly, but, needed to clean his finger nails. I hate looking at dirty nails on a waiter. It’s gross. Glad to get that off my chest. Pushing on. They make their pastas, pizza dough and bread fresh daily. They use fresh ingredients, but, not basil! I love basil. Why no basil? Everything is made in house and cooked to order. And they have a wood burning oven for their pizzas. YUM! Once we were seated, we ordered our waters and started looking at the menu. Two things immediately stood out to us: Wild Boar Bolognese and Osso Bucco di’Agnello. We decided to go ahead and splurge a little and order the Osso Bucco. WTF is Osso Bucco you ask? It is slow cooked lamb, brussels sprouts, saffron risotto, and BASIL gremolata. Whaat? I thought you don’t use basil? I’m confused on that one as I didn’t see the basil gremolata at all. The bolognese was delicious. Everything about it was great. Pasta was cooked perfect and the sauce had a nice little sweet tang. It was thick and not watered down running all over the plate. Very good dish for eight bucks. I would have liked it better with spaghetti or fettuccine noodles. The lamb shank with the brussels and saffron risotto was good. Not quite $ 18 good. While the lamb was generous and tender, a lot of it was too dry. If not for the dryness it would have been excellant. The brussels were disappointing as they were also too dry. The risotto was perfect. The complimentary bread was fresh, warm and delicious and paired well with the olive oil/balsalmic vinegrette dip. Overall I liked this place. I would definitely be interested in going back and trying other dishes. Especially one of their pizzas. This place is definitely worth a visit folks.

I come here about 4x a year and the place is never busy but I think the food is really great(still!) this time I came here with a group of 7 at 8PM because I has a groupon. I made the reservation via groupon but it only gave me a seating option at 9 so I called to see if 8 was available and it was. Spoke with David who was also the FOH and server. He was The best! Super attentive, super helpful with menu items and wine and super patient when we went to split the bill. amazing! I love walking into a place and feeling like people know me. My friends actually thought that he did know me haha I also love that my vegetarian and vegan friends can have something equally thought out an delightful as my meat eating pals. When I want Italian I don’t want pretentious service and sometimes I feel like bottecellis and vespaio and all those places are a bit stuffy. Need to come here for their HH one day. Truly sounds fab.

We came here for brunch lured in by bottomless mimosas or bellinis and were not disappointed. Well, actually, we were a little disappointed but I’ll tell you about that in a mo. The food was great. I got eggs mama. Two eggs baked in bread with ricotta, spinach, tomato sauce, fontina, mixed greens. It was basically like a super delicious breakfast pizza. We grazed around other peoples’ items as well and they were all delectable. And lets get real, the bottomless mimosas weren’t hurting. The weird thing is that they ran out of glasses. This was early enough that it shouldn’t have been a problem. They ran out of a couple of other things I can’t remember now(spoons? sausage?). Granted, we rolled in with a 20 person table but still… it seemed silly. I think this place is vastly underrated as a brunch destination. Maybe we should back away slowly from the Eggs Benny and move towards something a little more creative.
