So I’ve always eaten at canes and I’ve always thought their service to be superior but recently I’ve been having inconsistencies in service. From employee charging me for extra sauce to employees not charge me for extra sauce to them not bagging my to go order to other employees bagging it. I understand training needs to be done for new employees coming in but there needs to be some consistency in regards to training there need to be a person to show a person what is right and wrong. If canes goes on like this it’ll turn into a regular Donald Trump situation where everybody loses. I will be returning to this location for the next five meals on the six meal I will come back in at my service is not consistent I won’t come back again. I wrote the all with Siri iPhone 6s. Thank you and God bless America.

So beyond excited to have this place open in the middle of Westlake! Such a great change for the area and especially this location, it has been many things that have failed. Hopefully the people in this area will keep it thriving. Raising Cane’s always has quality food and the chicken is so tender and delicious, it’s unbelievable. There is not much a variety on the menu, but if you want great chicken for an affordable price quick and easy, this is the place for you. They also have an outstanding toast as well. Glad to see this has opened and hope to see it around for a long time.

Today was my first and probably last time coming. Stopped by for lunch, ordered 3 piece meal with large sweet tea for about 8 bucks, very few choices on menu, if i have tenders i want mashed potatoes not fries, — fries were good and garlic bread was good. tenders — bland, nasty, the batter was actually falling off.(it did come with some pink looking sauce, when driving dipping isnt really an option) — but just nasty… sweet tea was good, my only comment on that, the meal came in a styro foam container yet the cup in a plastic cup which sweats.

Helpful, friendly staff, way too short on selections, good tenders, decent slaw and lemonade, poor limp cool fries. Overpriced for the quality and quantity. Plenty of competition near by that beats their product. Probably not coming back.

I’ve had Canes a few times in another town but was ready to give the new Austin location a try. The staff was super welcoming and the décor was cute and thoughtful. My friend inquired about the Canes sauce and I responded«it’s like crack.» The manager played along and agreed, even noting that everything on the menu was just that good and it was«like we are the local crack house!» It’s so true. The manager chatted with us a bit since my friend was a first timer: everything is made fresh daily including the sides and sauces. Maybe they’ll teach me the secret ingredients to the crack-sauce??? A girl can wish. The chicken tenders were hot and were perfectly breaded — not too much. The coleslaw was my favorite part! Definitely tasted like it had been made that morning. Cheers to you, Raising Canes! Your food shows love. And for that we love you.

I’ve only been here twice in my first experience was absolutely horrible took over 30 minutes to get our food and Here I am once again waiting in the drive thru for over 10 minutes! The people are nice and the food is good but man you should not have to wait this long.

Louisiana staple. They have the best fried chicken fingers in town and the sauce is super addictive. Great friendly Crew and awesome atmosphere!

I’ve been coming to Raising Cane’s for about 15 years as I was born and raised in Louisiana. It’s funny that Cane’s has followed me everywhere I’ve moved, first to Dallas and then to Austin. I’ve now tried all of the locations in the area and this one is nice and the location is in such a beautiful area of town. On this particular Saturday, I had my kids with me and we were just leaving a nearby park after some much needed time on the swings. :) They are 4 and 2, but they love some Cane’s just as much as their daddy, so we stopped on in for lunch. I can generally tell when someone is not just the regular cashier, so I asked the guy if it was his restaurant and he said he was the GM. I introduced myself and mentioned that I first started eating at the original restaurant in Baton Rouge about 1999. We had some good laughs about how far they’ve come since then and my kids and I went and sat down. During our meal, he decided to come over and bring some tattoos, note pads etc to my kids. Granted, that stuff is cheap and they used them and drew all over it within a few hours. But it was the fact that he took the time to walk over and do something extra to make them smile. Raising Cane’s has been one of my favorites for years and I still get these insane cravings that only Cane’s can satisfy. I have friends that work for other(similar) places in town and even recently made them do a blind taste test, just to prove how much better Raising Cane’s is and they agreed. It’s not joke, go and try it and if you don’t like it, I’ll give you your money back.(Not really, but it’s so good)

If looking for a good, salty, greasy time please call! I mean that in the best way. Raising canes has a fine crispy crunchy greasy bird. As some mentioned the sauce is a little on the watery side for my sauce tastes but still makes for a good dip. Drink lots of water and nap afterward.

The chicken itself was crispy and juicy. I was disappointed with the so called famous sauce though. It just tasted like ketchup and mayo mixed together. Very boring and bordering on bland. I would’ve enjoyed it more with BBQ or Chick fil A sauce. Fries were nothing special. The Texas toast was buttery and soft. I’m not a coleslaw fan so I can’t comment on that. It was a pain to get in and out of the parking area during the lunch rush with the Taco Bell next door and a very busy intersection. Overall I would give it another shot, but only if I’m in the area. I went a bit out of the way to try it out.

Do one thing and do it well. That appears to be the mantra for Cane’s. The menu is less like what you’ve probably come to expect at essentially any restaurant and more like what I imagine restaurants in the Soviet Union were like. There’s basically one thing on the menu. Chicken. Well, a couple of things. Chicken plus fries plus slaw plus Texas Toast. You can also get sauce, which – pinkish orange in color– appears to be some unimaginative combination of common table sauces(I didn’t like it, which means it a) wasn’t particularly spicy, and b) probably contained one or more of ketchup, mayo, and/or mustard, but I can see others getting into it). But that’s it. There’s no mac and cheese or fried okra or biscuits or rolls or green beans or corn or rice or beans or really anything else. You can get more or fewer tenders, more or fewer fries, and that’s basically your entire slate of options. The tenders are indeed very good. Juicy, greasy, with lots of crunchy breading. But even they only come in one variety, unlike, say, at Popeye’s, which offers regular and(legitimately) spicy varieties. The crinkle fries are decent but not anything to write home about. Generally, the meal was greasy, a bit too salty, and pretty decent. Just not as special as it might have been, given the hype. I noticed they sell a tailgate package, which is essentially just a ton of tenders. That reminds me of tailgating a couple of years back at the Texas versus Olé Miss game in Oxford, Mississippi. Because the University of Mississippi does not allow open flames or BBQ smokers in The Grove, and because people generally hike in their food and place them under tents with chandeliers, barbecue is not usually on the menu. But because they’re generally good hot or cold, chicken tenders are on the Olé Miss tailgating agenda. From a place called Abner’s. With a sauce blend very much like they have at Cane’s. And don’t get me wrong, that’s nice from time to time, but I just can’t see myself hitting up this place on any regular sort of basis. Indeed, the tenders are more fatty and carby than proteiny, if you’re trying not to be fat and care about that sort of thing. Tenders from Popeye’s or Chick-Fil-a are maybe not *good* for you, per se, but at least with them, your calories are coming more from protein. And with them, you can get a broader variety of accompaniments. All that being said, Cane’s tenders are very tasty. If you’re willing to complete your meal with sides from elsewhere, it might work for you. It just doesn’t exactly work for me, which is unfortunate, since it’s so prominently located near me.

This Raising Cane’s is new in Westlake. I had a card for a free Box Combo and tried it today. The young man behind the counter was very friendly, and the manager also. The food was good, but not great(yes, I know it is fast food, but still). The chicken fingers were very good(warm, moist, and crispy), the sweet tea was very sweet(I mean very sweet), the Texas toast was plain, the fries were crinkle-cut like you get frozen in the grocery store, and the coleslaw was sweet with too much mayo. The sauce that is supposed to be so wonderful was just OK(I personally prefer honey mustard). I was glad to try the food here, and I hope it does well, but I will probably not go back anytime soon.

The size of the chicken strips is really large so you get a good bang for your buck… The breading is crunchy yet not too greasy. If you have a fried chicken craving and are in the Westlake area this place is worth going to. Bonus! They have crinkle fries!

For fast food chicken, this place does very well. Decent chicken fingers and slaw, and the Texas toast stands out; very soft and tasty. My first visit, the service was very friendly and helpful. I’d consider future visits for certain.

The chicken fingers here aren’t too bad. They have a nice breading on them and the meat is pretty juicy. We only ordered the fingers and stayed away from the sides. You end up paying about $ 1.09 per chicken finger a la carte. They aren’t all that big however, they’re literally the size of a fat human finger. I wanted to like this place more but they charge you for dipping sauce which is wack. Their Cane dipping sauce is literally nothing more than thousand island dressing and they charge you 29 cents for a small cup of it. It’s a good dipping sauce but why charge for it? That’s like paying for ketchup at McDonald’s.

Cane’s is A-OK. Let’s put it that way. It’s like walking into old Fuddruckers only it’s chicken fingers rather than hamburgers with the interior décor. While the chicken fingers are quite good and(disappointingly greasy) here’s what I find disappointing: Why is there no one vegetable on the plate and everything is fried or cholesterol butter drowned? Instead of fries why no mash potatoes or broccoli. Heck, if this was Idaho you could do Mac n cheese. You might need to go run a few laps at the track at the middle school across the street after consuming even the smallest plate they offer. Fried tenders, French fries, cole slaw drenched in oily dressing and on top of that Texas toast with more butter than Rush Limbaugh puts on his dinner roll! The employees here were really noxious and seemed more to be faring around rather ensuring to the patrons dining inside that everything tasted well even though it was closing(they do in Dallas). Bottom line the food is good but I’m afraid if you eat one bite too much you might be calling the Westlake paramedics while not singing Marley’s «One Love» in the ambulance only Caine’s version of it…

Let me start by saying that«Westlake» is like its own city. Here in «Westlake» most people have a little more money, and don’t like establishments that weren’t already there 15 years ago or don’t get involved with the community. For example, Randall’s and Stein Mart have been there for EVER and yet people go to Randall’s even though they KNOW the prices are outrageous, and Stein Mart is just… Stein Mart… The Chik-Fil-A in Westlake gets involved in the high school football games with the school mascot, and Thunderclouds caters to the middle schoolers after school is out. Places in Westlake pretty much have to: 1.) Get involved with Westlake High School sports. 2.) Have a Westlake Pinnacle paper rack in or outside of it. 3.) Not be «out of place» with the area. If you follow those guidelines(especially the High School Sports one) then your business will BOOM here! Raising Canes has figured that out and has plastered Westlake High School logos all over it! Even has a little picture of the now NFLQB Drew Brees in his high school days inside! So even if the food isn’t all that great it is still going to be THE place to go. Which brings me to the point… It’s not all that great. When I entered I was greeted with EXTREMELY loud music, so loud in fact that the guy taking my order made me repeat it. But the worst was their air conditioning OHMYGOSH! It had to be close to 60 degrees in there! It was so cold I got goosebumps! I know it’s summer and all but by the time I finished my first tender the rest were room temperature! I even resorted to relocating but there is a huge 3 foot long AC vent that shoots down ice cold air on one side and the same on the other! The only spot in the place to not get hit by this are two small, two seater tables sitting right between them! At the end of the day, the food isn’t all that great, if it weren’t for their famous«Cane’s Sauce» I wouldn’t go back, but since it is close to me and it isn’t completely horrible, I will still return. And even if I didn’t, don’t forget what I said earlier! They have Westlake High School logos everywhere so it won’t be going ANYWHERE, ANYTIME soon!

This location just opened yesterday in what was formerly a Carl’s Jr. I have to say that the neighborhood got a major upgrade with Raising Cane’s. I’m generally a chicken-on-the-bone kind of guy. But I know a good chicken tender when I eat one and these rate very highly in my book. Plump and juicy with a nice light breading. The zesty sauce that accompanies them was also very good. The décor inside was pretty eclectic with a disco ball spinning above the door. There were some pictures of various Austin celebs like Matthew McConaughey, Bob Schneider, and former West Laker Drew Brees to give it some local flair. There was also a sign proclaiming their sauce was the boss — which is a marketing slogan synonymous with Rudy’s around here. But we’ll let that slide since their chicken is pretty kickin!
