What an amazing place to get Authentic italian food! I went with my family last night for the first time and I was blown away. We are from the Bronx and have yet to find a place that is similar to the food you get out in NYC. Yum yum. Their house salad dressing is to die for! I tried the chicken parmesean, and my husband tried the baked ziti. The portion sizes were very generous, and we even had left overs for lunch today. Their soup is fresh and made to order. They even had options for my picky child. They made us garlic knots upon request and I couldn’t be happier. I could go on and on, but you have to try it for yourself. Glad we live 5 mins away.

Kind of hole in the wall-easy to miss. Pizza is very good if you like a thin NY style. Impressive menu of pastas they make and even veal. Not a fancy place-more of a take out joint, but we had slices there

The best Italian delivery as I’ve ever had in my life. The lobster ravioli is excellent.

You MUST try their lobster ravioli! It is to.die.for! The sauce is so good you could drink it like soup. Very rich, and creamy, with the best flavor! The ravioli is delicious too, perfectly cooked with good amount of filling. While it only comes with 4 ravioli, they are large in size & the dish is so rich, I really don’t think you could eat more than that. It is seriously better than any ravioli I’ve had, even upscale Italian places like Vespaio. It comes with really good, soft & fluffy rolls that you just dip into the sauce. And a side salad(very fresh). Of course we ordered pizza too, always good! Service is outstanding! This place is exceptional, I highly recommend!

I ordered from Prima for the first time simply because they had online ordering via Unilocal.I was pleasantly surprised. We had very good New York style pizza with salads. Since then, I’ve tried a few of the pastas. My favorite, by far, is the lobster ravioli with tomato cream sauce. I don’t think I’ve had a better meal delivered. My complaints, which keep it from being a 5 star review, are fairly minor. For one order, I ordered the pasta sampler and ended up receiving the lasagna. I’m a lasagna fan, so I wasn’t upset enough to complain. The lobster ravioli, albeit a really great dish, was a little small considering the price. I expected a few more ravioli, but again, it was really good. Delivery has generally been quick. For pastas, I usually get it in 30 mins. or less. Weekends sometimes take a little longer, but never longer than 45 mins. Since the neighborhood is mostly full of chain delivery places, Prima is now our go-to pizza and delivery place.

First time there was today, with friends, at lunch. Smelled amazing from the start, very clean and a very handsome, friendly owner. :) You can get pizza by the slice, order the entire pizza and then they have a full menu with lasagna, fettuccine, several salads, calzone and more! The pizza was fresh and fabulous! The garden salad with their«secret» dressing was amazing. The portions are HUGE and you can eat a great lunch for $ 6.00! I’m so happy to find this wonderful gem so close to my office. It’s some of the best pizza I’ve had, cannot wait to try a pasta dish! Gooooooooo!!!

One of the best kept Italian secrets in town. Very reasonably priced and the food is amazing. Don’t let the gas station appearance fool you. Great people and great place!

I hate writing this review because I absolutely have never –EVER– written a negative review in my life, especially for a restaurant or delivery service(I worked in the industry for 15 years, I get the drill), but I was just disappointed this evening with their customer service. I LOVE this place, if you’re looking at reviews for food quality… eat here. It’s great. In fact, it’s our family’s go-to«treat» when we can afford to order out. Love it, love it, LOVE it. With that being said, tonight we ordered and ordered our Lobster Ravioli entrees with extra sauce as we always do(it’s insanely amazing), some cheese sticks, and a chicken Caesar salad. When it arrived the ravioli entrees(2 of them at 14 dollars apiece) actually had less sauce than a normal entrée(and that’s our favorite part of what was the 3 ravioli this time [it is usually four huge ones or 5 smaller, but a full bowl.] Not this time)– sopping the delightful sauce up with the bread! YUM!), no extra sauce, missing a salad, and my Caesar(which was an entrée for someone) didn’t have croutons or parmigiano cheese(so just lettuce and chicken with a side dressing for 8 dollars?), and the bread tasted and felt old. Hard, overcooked to dark brown, and tastless, not fluffy, garlicy, and awesome like usual. I called because I understand accidents happen and 99% of the time when it does I just speak with the restaurant and work out an extra salad or soup next call. No biggie. But when I spoke with the manager this time he seemed annoyed. Like I was being a bother. He cut me off at the extra sauce and told me it cost $ 2.50 per entrée for that. I was a little shocked at the price(somewhat excessive, perhaps? And I had never encountered this before?) but would have easily paid for it as it is our special treat night so had I been called or notified(I ordered online through their website) it could havw been easily rectified and I couldn’t do it online as there is no button or ability to do up charges like some sites, or I most certainly would have. The missing salad wasn’t a huge deal either, and I have lettuce at home, and as he offered to have it delivered to me while telling me again about the up charges on the sauce again(which I felt wasn’t in my ability to have handled differently) I just got frustrated. I didn’t want that poor delivery guy to have to drive all the way out here at the end of his shift over something I had here and something I apparently wasn’t supposed to have(even though every other time I’d ordered it it wasn’t a problem). Like I said, I’ve never written a bad review before and this isn’t one either. Food is great, fast, and one of my favorite take out places… but check your order. And if you have to call over missing things, you may not get treated like you just spent 60 – 100 dollars and are well within your sanity to inquire why you didn’t get what you asked for. Disappointed and a little disheartened by being treated like that by, what was, my favorite take-out place.

Food: 4⁄5 Service: 3⁄5 Atmosphere: 3⁄5 Pretty unassuming, strip mall pizza joint that serves pretty good pizza. So I chose this place after a failed attempt at hitting up a couple of other places with my buddies. It’s rated quite highly, but we we pretty skeptical as soon as we pulled up. I wouldn’t call the place a dive, since it’s clean and is in a pretty nice area, but the place was just… bland. Nothing special really, no matter how many photos of New York the proprietors hang up. I opted out of the pizza and got a spinach calzone instead, filled with mozzarella and ricotta. It was good. Real good. Quite filling due to its pretty big size, and filled lots and lots of cheese, just the way I like it. Marinara sauce that came with it was nothing special, but does make a good complement to the calzone. My friends each got pizza slices. They didn’t like it as much, saying it was a pretty average pie. According to reviews, the pasta is good too, so I wouldn’t mind coming back and trying some. It’s a pretty good spot for a casual lunch, but is a drive north of downtown Austin. It’s better than most of the pizza places on campus/downtown, but is it worth the drive? I’d just go to Roppolo’s/Home Slice.

This is my FAVORITE neighborhood Italian restaurant! I’ve tried many different items on the menu and they have all been outstanding. There is an authenticity in the food and with the owners that is rare in larger cities and I unequivocally give Prima Pizza Pasta 5 stars! They have moved from their McNeil location to 620 and Boulder Lane — dine in, take away or call for delivery — you won’t be disappointed.

Looked on Unilocal for a local independent pizza place that delivers and Prima popped up. My pizza arrived at my door 25 minutes after ordering! FAST! Friendly professional delivery guy too. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars was the shortage of tomato sauce on the pizza. More sauce please! Otherwise, hot, fresh ingredients and plenty of cheese. A great option for those of us tired of the various«Papa’s», who want our pizza delivered in the Anderson Mill area.

We ordered delivery last night and were sorely disappointed. Delivery took 1.5 hours(45 mins longer than what was quoted), pizza was COLD and the crust was like a brick. We also got the pasta sampler and it was just ok(also cold). Not sure I understand what all the 5-star reviews are for, this was terrible.

Just had a delivery from Prima Pizza & Pasta, and we are BLOWNAWAY. Chicken Parmigiana was GREAT, and PLENTY of it. Arrived right on time, too! So nice when you try a restaurant for the first time, and they EXCEED your expectations. AND, only a $ 4 delivery charge(plus tip).

We are new to Austin and were grateful to find this restaurant close by! We love Gino’s pizza in Queens NYC and Palermo’s pizza and Marion’s in Dayton OH, and this pizza is fantastic taste of NYC style pizza right here in Austin. My go to is the Italian sausage, roasted red peppers, and onions pizza! — Superb! The cheese pizza is great too! It’s our go to for our 8 year old and 2 year old — they love it! Great pizza and great service from the owners! Stop by and support these hard working guys who make some great pizza and Italian food!

Wow! Finally after driving many times by this place, we finally decided to go here and order food. So glad we did! I love hole in the walls places! They never disappoint! We love Italian food and lately some of the hole in walls in the Four Points/Lakeway areas have been closing down or disappointing. We went all out! We order the Napoleon Pizza and wow the flavor was awesome! My husband order the pasta sampler instead he got a large order of lasagna but nonetheless he loved the flavor. I ordered my favorite Penne Alla Vodka. I love it! It also came with a salad. I ordered their house vinaigrette. Wow!!! I hope they start selling that in a jar because I would so buy it! Wonderful authentic Italian food for great prices. Please move down further to Four Point area!

My favorite pizza in Austin! I always get the Su’prima pizza and it’s delicious every time. Excellent New York style crust and fresh ingredients. I miss the fact that they used to be located down the street from me on McNeil but I have no problem driving here for such a good pie. One day I’ll have to try the pastas as the menu looks good all around. Always a friendly staff too!

I asked for«The Best Thing You Make» and the reply was«I don’t make if it’s not the best». He made me a chicken florentine off menu«with heat». It was truly amazing food. Would eat again. And again. Great service, too.

One of the best pizza places in Austin. Definitely a hidden gem. Excellent service and the most delicious pepperoni and mushroom pizza I’ve ever had! You can tell that everything here is freshly made and they do no skimp on quality. The crust of each and every pizza is crispy and delicious. You definitely have to come and dine in. Eating the pizzas fresh out of the oven is a must. Don’t be fooled by the outside of this place! Go inside and prepare for a great pizza meal.

Almost a year later with impending thunderstorms chasing me I decided to see if quality at Prima Pizza Pasta had improved. I had a much better experience this time than my last time. I was greated immediately and introduced to available slices options. Timmy the owner even chopped it up with me about our old hometown NYC. New Yorkers tend to test each other when we’re away from the city to make sure we know our in and outs. For example one might say I used to take that crowded 7 train to Citi Field to see the Mets. Of course I would have to rep my Yankees… But I digress and you get the picture. I let Timmy know NY style straight up the pizza was terrible last time. I’m only here because this is close and there’s a thunderstorm coming so I figure I’ll give you another try. He promised me the pizza good and all the local New Yorkers love it. I said the proof is in the pudding and proceeded to order a meat lovers and a slice with pepperoni to go. The pizzas was good. The pizza sauce had a bold flavor in a good way. The meat lover’s slice was the standout. Looks like they got a customer, because it’s in the neighborhood and it’s good. The special are decent too, $ 6.50 for 2 slices and a drink all day everyday. The flavor had me wishing I got the whole pie. Props to Timmy for rehabilitating my negative impressions of Prima Pizza Pasta into positive ones. I can recommend you give Prima Pizza Pasta a try.

Whoever is the boss of this place please know that your 2 young staff were basking in the beautiful Austin sun while we waited inside for over 5mins to get seated. We ended up walking out and they just watched! Disappointing seeing that we came all the way here to check out this location as I used to enjoy the food at the old one.
