Papa John’s Pizza

Ordered a pizza online for carryout about an hour ago. I was quoted 15 – 25 minutes. When I arrived it wasn’t ready yet– I probably waited for about 15 minutes for it. When it was ready the manager brought it over to me with a cookie pizza for free with it and apologized for any inconvenience. I am amazed at such good customer service! Thank you, Papa Johns!

Ordered a pizza from this location using the Papa Johns app and about an hour and a half later I called to see why I hadn’t received it. Apparently my new address update didn’t go through so they just decided on their own that they didn’t want to «drive all the way to San Antonio» (at least that was the smartalic remark the girl gave me on the phone). No call. No email. No apology. Just me waiting here for a pizza that was never going to be delivered along with a double dose of attitude from the rude girl on the phone. I’m sorry, but this is not what I expect from Papa John’s and I will never be ordering from them again.
Note to the store manager: Your staff needs more training on customer service and what needs to happen when a customer is not happy with their experience.

Big box restaurants and pizza places are usually not on the top of my list. I ordered Papa John because we live in south Austin, which has limited pizza options and becuase it had the highest rating on Unilocal.
The experience really surprised me. We ordered online. The pizza was delivered in less than a half hour. The delivery person was friendly. The pizza tasted great and fresh. We ordeded the Works specialty pizza.
We will order from here again and recommend it to others.

Hot, fresh, and fast! My favorite part of the experience is the gentlemen who delivers it and says «This is gonna be delicious». Love the service and the grub. So great all around!

The pizza is awesome, delivery incredibly fast, and the service is awesome. I was in a hurry when I was placing my order online and forgot to select credit. Called the store and they ran my credit card. Noticed a difference in the charge amount. Called the store and they quickly and politely resolved it.

Only pizza place we have ordered from in Austin that consistently delivers CRAZY FAST! We have ordered several times from here, and it is seriously freaky fast… Even on Super Bowl Sunday. Pizza is always good! Wings were also very good.

Been here a few times. I usually order on-​line and pick up. Service is great and pizza is prepared in under 15 minutes. Meat lovers options is one my favorites and my order has always been correct. Make sure you sign IP for Papa Rewards. As you order you build up points for free pizza and over the last 3 months I’ve gotten 3 free pizzas already.

This store messed up my order on a delivery but they fixed the problem with no complaint or extra charge, delivered a fresh pizza, and told us to keep the extra pizza. We were happy, got an extra pizza out of the deal, and the whole issue was handled professionally. Great job Papa Johns! I will keep you guys in mind every time we want pizza in the future.

I would personally like to apologize to the person who got a large Works and an XL sausage pizza delivered instead of what they ordered. Apparently, this is due to smug delivery drivers who cannot read, which cost us over an hour of waiting while person after person came in and out of the store and got their order. We were even there long enough for some guy with a braid to walk in, peruse the overhead menu, and ponder whether to get onions on his pizza like it was a puzzling Shakespearean quote… To be or not to be… onions or no onions, that is the question.
I give Papa John’s two stars now because the manager did comp the food because of our hour long wait. We’ve never had this problem before, but it was probably due to the new employees, which I can understand, but the delivery guys have no excuse. Reading skills are required. Yes, even during Customer Appreciation Week.
So I was going to leave it at two stars, but I tacked on another star because the pizza is delicious! It’s loaded with fresh vegetables, the cheese is teeth-​sinkable, and the crust is perfection!
Patience may not be one of my virtues, but that third star is my appreciation for good pizza. I forgive you, Papa John. Just don’t let it happen again. I was starving like a stray cat! :)

Good pizza, cheaper that Pizza Hut or Mr. Gatti’s, fast delivery, friendly employees. It’s a pizza place, what more do you need?

When did Papa John’s start charging a delivery fee??? My Papa John’s in Houston didn’t charge a delivery fee but this one charges $ 1.40! And I don’t even know if that is per pizza or per order (I’ve only ever ordered one pizza at a time). I thought that it was maybe just online orders (yay for online ordering!) but I called in an order once just to find out and nope, still got charged the delivery fee… And since this is the only Papa John’s that delivers to my house, I guess I’m stuck if I don’t want to drive and pick it up… *grumble*
That said, it is still my favorite pizza that I can get delivered to me, hence the three stars. My order is always correct and the delivery is pretty fast.
I like their thin crust a lot (and the seasoning packet that comes with it!). Their regular crust is good too.
Now I’m just waiting to find out if this Papa John’s makes heart shaped pizzas for valentine’s day! (The one that used to deliver to me for free did…)

Let’s face it, this is not the best Pizza in the world, it’s a step above frozen, but they keep emailing me their buy one get one free coupons and it’s so easy to order online and my kid LOVES it. Actually all my kid’s friends LOVE it too. So if this review would have been written by a bunch of eleven year old boys, it would have gotten five stars.
